Surat Fussilat

(Secluded & Isolated)

(Surah No. 31)

Ayat 1-54

حم

Ha Meem

These are Arabic letters in the Glorious Qur’an. Only Allah (SWT) knows their meaning. 41:2

[This is] a revelation from the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful (2).

This Glorius Qur’an is the Revelation & Inspiration From Allah (SWT) the Totally Merciful & Glorious Creator of All Creation.

41:3

A Book whose verses have been detailed, an Arabic Qur’an for a people who know (3).

A Compilation & Publication, the words & Muslim Ayat of which have been described & detailed in the Arabic Language for people who understand the language & cutler.

41:4

As a giver of good tidings and a warner; but most of them turn away, so they do not hear (4).

As a Granter of good notification for the Believing Muslims & a Warner of the disbelievers. Nevertheless, the disbelievers in Allah (SWT) turn their backs so that they do not hear the Glorious Qur’an Revelation Revealed to the Prophet Muhammad [SAAS] By Allah (SWT).

41:5

And they say, “Our hearts are within coverings from that to which you invite us, and in our ears is deafness, and between us and you is a partition, so work; indeed, we are working.”

And the blasphemous disbelievers said, “ Our hearts are enveloped with covers from the same material to which you invite us, & we carry deafness in our ears. Furthermore, between us & you Oh Messenger of Allah (SAAS) is a partition, hence act from your Muslim Religion & Conviction & we blasphemous disbelievers will work from our persuasion & creed.

41:6

Say, O [Muhammad], “I am only a man like you to whom it has been revealed that your god is but one God; so take a straight course to Him and seek His forgiveness.” And woe to those who associate others with Allah (6).

Tell the blasphemous disbelievers Oh Muhammad (SAAS) Messenger of Islam. “I am only a human being like any of you to whom it has been revealed that your God is but One Allah (SWT); thus follow a Straight Path to Him (SWT) Seeking His Forgiveness.” And agony & anguish for those who associate deities with Him (SWT).

41:7

Those who do not give zakat, and in the Hereafter, they are disbelievers (7).

Those disbelievers in Islam & who do not give out Annual Zakat (Alms) in this worldly lifetime & who are nonbelievers.

41:8

Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds – for them is a reward uninterrupted (8).

Truly & certainly those Muslim believers who perform righteous deeds in their worldly lifetime, their recompense is uninterrupted.

41:9

Say, “Do you indeed disbelieve in He who created the earth in two days and attribute to Him equals? That is the Lord of the worlds” (9).

Tell the blasphemous disbelievers Oh Muhammad (SAAS), “Do you disbelieve in Allah (SWT) who created the earth in two days, attributing to Him (SWT) equals ? He Is Allah (SWT) Lord of the worlds.

41:10

And He placed on the earth firmly set mountains over its surface, and He blessed it and determined therein its [creatures’] sustenance in four days without distinction – for [the information] of those who ask (10).

And He (SWT) Created Firm Mountains on the earth’s surface, Blessing it & Determining its living creatures along with their nutritional needs, in four days for humankind who ask.

41:11

Then He directed Himself to the heaven while it was smoke and said to it and to the earth, “Come [into being], willingly or by compulsion.” They said, “We have come willingly” (11).

Subsequently, He (SWT) Elevated To The Heavens while it was “smoke”, Commanding It & the Earth, “Come Into Existence, willingly or by compulsion ?” They Replied We Have Come to You Allah (SWT) Willingly.

41:12

And He completed them as seven heavens within two days and inspired in each heaven its command. And We adorned the nearest heaven with lamps and as protection. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing (12).

And He (SWT) Decreed & Ordained them as Seven Heavens within Two Days inspiring in each Heaven its  Command. And We (SWT) Garnish the Lowest Heaven with Lamps & as Protection. That is the determination of Allah (SWT) the Exalted in Might, the All Knowledgeable.

41:13

But if they turn away, then say, “I have warned you of a thunderbolt like the thunderbolt [that struck] ‘Aad and Thamud (13).

However, If the blasphemous disbelievers turn their backs to you Oh Muhammad (SAAS), respond by saying, I have warned you of a thunderbolt similar to that which devastated the followers of Ad & Thamud.

41:14

[That occurred] when the messengers had come to them before them and after them, [saying], “Worship not except Allah .” They said, “If our Lord had willed, He would have sent down the angels, so indeed we, in that with which you have been sent, are disbelievers” (14).

When Messengers arrived to them (before & after) commanding them to Worship nothing But Allah (SWT), They responded saying, if our lord had willed, he would have delivered angles, hence we are disbelievers in that with which you claim.

41:15

As for ‘Aad, they were arrogant upon the earth without right and said, “Who is greater than us in strength?” Did they not consider that Allah who created them was greater than them in strength? But they were rejecting Our signs (15).

Concerning Aad, they were conceited on the land without any due process & right, saying, ”who on this earth is stronger than us?” Had they  not considered that Allah (SWT) who was their creator is Greater then then in Strength, Power &Might ? However, they were rejecting Our Ayat.

41:16

And as for Thamud, We guided them, but they preferred blindness over guidance, so the thunderbolt of humiliating punishment seized them for what they used to earn.

Regarding Thamud, We (SWT) Offered them Guidance. However, they chose “blindness” rather than Our Guidance, thus the thunderbolt of Our Humiliating Reprimand seized them for what they used to acquire in their worldly lifetime.

41:17

And as for Thamud, We guided them, but they preferred blindness over guidance, so the thunderbolt of humiliating punishment seized them for what they used to earn (17).

As for Thamud We (SWT) Offered them Our Guidance, however they preferred blindness rather than Guidance, hence the thunderbolt of humiliating chastisement seized them for their worldly lifetime earnings.

41:18

And We saved those who believed and used to fear Allah (18).

And We (SWT) Saved humankind who believed in Allah (SWT) & Judgment Day.

41:19

And [mention, O Muhammad], the Day when the enemies of Allah will be gathered to the Fire while they are [driven] assembled in rows (19).

And Mention Oh Muhammad (SAAS) the Day when the antagonists & opponents of Allah (SWT) will be gathered to the Hellfire assembled in rows ready to meet their conviction.

41:20

Until, when they reach it, their hearing and their eyes and their skins will testify against them of what they used to do (20).

Upon reaching the Hellfire, their hearing, their vision & their skins shall witness against them of what they used to perpetrate in their worldly lifetime. 41:21

And they will say to their skins, “Why have you testified against us?” They will say, “We were made to speak by Allah , who has made everything speak; and He created you the first time, and to Him you are returned (21).

Their skins shall say, “Why have you testified against us?” They replied saying, “We were made to speak by Allah (SWT) , who has the right, the power & capacity to  make everything & anything speak. He (SWT) Created All Creation the first time, and to Him (SWT) we will be returned.

41:22

And you were not covering yourselves, lest your hearing testify against you or your sight or your skins, but you assumed that Allah does not know much of what you do (22).

And you humankind were not concealing yourselves, lest your hearing, or your sight or your skins witness against you, assuming that Allah (SWT) is not aware of what you perpetrated in your worldly lifetime.

41:23

And that was your assumption which you assumed about your Lord. It has brought you to ruin, and you have become among the losers”(23).

And that reaction was your supposition which you assumed about your Creator, Allah (SWT), has caused humankind devastation, thus becoming amongst the losers.

41:24

So [even] if they are patient, the Fire is a residence for them; and if they ask to appease [ Allah ], they will not be of those who are allowed to appease (24).

Thus even if they are advisedly patient, the Hellfire is their residence & if they seek appeasement from Allah (SWT), they shall not be allowed to be appeased.

41:25

And We appointed for them companions who made attractive to them what was before them and what was behind them [of sin], and the word has come into effect upon them among nations which had passed on before them of jinn and men. Indeed, they [all] were losers (25).

And We (SWT) Assigned for them associates who made attractive to them what was in front of them & what was behind them of sin & the Word of Allah (SWT) has arrived & come into effect upon them (similar) to other nations of Jinn & Humankind. Evidently, all were losers.

41:26

And those who disbelieve say, “Do not listen to this Qur’an and speak noisily during [the recitation of] it that perhaps you will overcome” (26).

And the blasphemous disbelievers said, “ Do not listen to the Recitation of this “Glorious Qur’an” during its Recitation, “Maybe you will Dominate”.

41:27

But We will surely cause those who disbelieve to taste a severe punishment, and We will surely recompense them for the worst of what they had been doing (27).

Nevertheless, We (SWT) Will Evidently cause the disbelievers severe chastisement thus compensating them for the worst of what they had been perpetrating in their worldly lifetime. 41:28

That is the recompense of the enemies of Allah – the Fire. For them therein is the home of eternity as recompense for what they, of Our verses, were rejecting (28).

That is the indemnification of the enemies of Alla (SWT) – the Hellfire. For them exists the eternity home as recompense for their rejection of the Ayat of the Glorious Qur’an.

41:29

And those who disbelieved will [then] say, “Our Lord, show us those who misled us of the jinn and men [so] we may put them under our feet that they will be among the lowest”(29).

And those disbelievers will say, “ Oh Our Lord expose to us those of the Jinn & Humankind who misled us, so that we may subjugate them under our feet so that they become amongst the lowest.

41:30

Indeed, those who have said, “Our Lord is Allah ” and then remained on a right course – the angels will descend upon them, [saying], “Do not fear and do not grieve but receive good tidings of Paradise, which you were promised (30).

Truly, those Muslim Believers who have said, Allah (SWT) is our Lord, then remained on the Righteous Path, the Angles will descend upon them saying, ”Have no fear or grieve, rather accept from Allah (SWT) Glad Tidings of Jannat which you were promised”.

We were your allies in the worldly life and in the Hereafter. And you will have therein whatever your souls desire, and you will have therein whatever you request (31).

41:31

We (SWT) are your supporters in the worldly lifetime & Allies in the Hereafter. And you humankind shall have whatever your souls desire & whatever you declare.

41:32

As accommodation from a [Lord who is] Forgiving and Merciful” (32).

As accommodation & familiarization from Allah (SWT) Who is Forgiving & Merciful.

41:33

And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah and does righteousness and says, “Indeed, I am of the Muslims” (33).

And whoever is superior in speech than one who calls for the Submission to Allah (SWT), performs righteous deeds, saying, truly, “ I am amongst the Muslims”.

41:34

And not equal are the good deed and the bad. Repel [evil] by that [deed] which is better; and thereupon the one whom between you and him is enmity [will become] as though he was a devoted friend (34).

And the good & bad deeds are unequal. Repulse the evil deed by that deed which is stronger & better.  And thus the one whom between you & him is enmity shall become as though he (she) was a sincere & faithful friend.

41:35

But none is granted it except those who are patient, and none is granted it except one having a great portion [of good] (35).

However, no humankind is Granted [This Status By Allah SWT)] except those who persevere, and none is Granted it except those humankind who possess a great proportion of superb luck. 41:36

And if there comes to you from Satan an evil suggestion, then seek refuge in Allah . Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing (36).

And if & when the Shaytan arrives to you Oh Muhammad (SAAS) or to your Muslim followers with an “evil proposition” then seek refuge in Allah (SWT). Truly & Verily He (SWT) is the All Hearing & All Knowledgeable. 41:37

And of His signs are the night and day and the sun and moon. Do not prostrate to the sun or to the moon, but prostrate to Allah , who created them, if it should be Him that you worship (37).

And of Allah (SWT)’s Creation are the Night & Day & the Sun & Moon. Oh Humankind, Do Not Prostrate to the Sun & Moon. However, Prostrate to Al Mighty Allah (SWT) Who Is the Sole Creator of All Creation.

[Sujood In The Direction Of Makkah].

But if they are arrogant – then those who are near your Lord exalt Him by night and by day, and they do not become weary (38).

However, if they are proud & conceited, then those humankind close to Allah (SWT) Exalt Him (SWT) night & day not becoming tired or weary.

41:39

And of His signs is that you see the earth stilled, but when We send down upon it rain, it quivers and grows. Indeed, He who has given it life is the Giver of Life to the dead. Indeed, He is over all things competent (39).

And amongst the Ayat of Allah (SWT) You Oh Muhammad (SAAS) see the earth humbled, however if We (SWT) Deliver upon it rain it shakes, trembles & quivers, thus growing. Truly, Allah (SWT) is the Granter of life to the “dead” seed. Indeed, He (SWT) is the Donor & Creator of All Creation. 41:40

Indeed, those who inject deviation into Our verses are not concealed from Us. So, is he who is cast into the Fire better or he who comes secure on the Day of Resurrection? Do whatever you will; indeed, He is Seeing of what you do (40).

Evidently, those humankind who insert deviation & deflection into Our Ayat of the Glorious Qur’an are not hidden from Us (SWT). Therefore, are those humankind who are ejected into the Hereafter Hellfire safer than those who Arrive on Resurrection Day safe & secure? Act upon whatever pleases you. Allah (SWT) is Observant of what each humankind perpetrates in their worldly lifetime.

41:41

Indeed, those who disbelieve in the message after it has come to them… And indeed, it is a mighty Book (41).

Evidently, those who blaspheme in the Muslim Message after its revelation from the Messenger & Prophet Muhammad (SAAS) in the Glorious Qur’an which is a Mighty Book from Allah (SWT).

41:42

Falsehood cannot approach it from before it or from behind it; [it is] a revelation from a [Lord who is] Wise and Praiseworthy (42).

The blasphemous disbelievers are unable to approach the Glorious Qur’an from before it or from behind it. It is a revelation from Allah (SWT), the Wise & Praiseworthy.

41:43

Nothing is said to you, [O Muhammad], except what was already said to the messengers before you. Indeed, your Lord is a possessor of forgiveness and a possessor of painful penalty (43).

Oh Muhammad (SAAS) Messenger of Islam, Allah (SWT) Does Not Tell you more than what was previously told to Messengers before you. Allah (SWT) Is both a possessor of forgiveness & painful, agonizing retribution.

41:44

And if We had made it a non-Arabic Qur’an, they would have said, “Why are its verses not explained in detail [in our language]? Is it a foreign [recitation] and an Arab [messenger]?” Say, “It is, for those who believe, a guidance and cure.” And those who do not believe – in their ears is deafness, and it is upon them blindness. Those are being called from a distant place (44).

And Had We (SWT) delivered it as a non-Arabic Qur’an, the blasphemous disbelievers would have said, “Why are the Ayat of the Qur’an not “detailed” in our language”? Is it a foreign recitation by an Arab Messenger? Reply to them Oh Muhammad (SAAS), the Glorious Qur’an is for Muslim Believers “A Guidance & Cure”.  While for non-believers, it represents deafness to their ears & blindness to their eyes. Those humankind are summoned from a distant place.

   41:45

And We had already given Moses the Scripture, but it came under disagreement. And if not for a word that preceded from your Lord, it would have been concluded between them. And indeed they are, concerning the Qur’an, in disquieting doubt (45).

And We (SWT) Had Formerly Delivered Prophet Mousa the Taura (Scripture). However, His Israelite followers disagreed. And actually regarding the Glorious Qur’an, the Israelites were in disturbing doubt.

41:46

Whoever does righteousness – it is for his [own] soul; and whoever does evil [does so] against it. And your Lord is not ever unjust to [His] servants (46).

Whosoever performs righteous deeds, it is for his/her own soul. On the contrary whosoever perpetrates evil deeds then he/she does so against their own soul. And Allah (SWT) Is Never Unjust to His Servants.

41:47

To him [alone] is attributed knowledge of the Hour. And fruits emerge not from their coverings, nor does a female conceive or give birth except with His knowledge. And the Day He will call to them, “Where are My ‘partners’?” they will say, “We announce to You that there is [no longer] among us any witness [to that]” (47).

To Allah (SWT) is assigned knowledge of the Hereafter. And  fruits do not emerge from their coverings, nor does a female conceive or give birth excluding His Knowledge (SWT). To Him (SWT) [Alone] is attributed Knowledge of Judgment Day. And the Day He (SWT) will call to them, “Where are My ‘partners’?” they will say, “We announce to You (SWT) that there are [no longer] amongst us any witnesses [to that].”

41:48

And lost from them will be those they were invoking before, and they will be certain that they have no place of escape (48).

And the blasphemous disbelievers lost the idols they were invoking previously, having no place to escape to.

41:49

Man is not weary of supplication for good [things], but if evil touches him, he is hopeless and despairing (49).

Humankind does not become exhausted from supplicating for descent & good things. However, if bad or evil touches them they become hopeless & desperate.

41:50

And if We let him taste mercy from Us after an adversity which has touched him, he will surely say, “This is [due] to me, and I do not think the Hour will occur; and [even] if I should be returned to my Lord, indeed, for me there will be with Him the best.” But We will surely inform those who disbelieved about what they did, and We will surely make them taste a massive punishment (50).

And if We (SWT) make humankind taste Mercy from Allah (SWT) subsequent to distress that touched humankind, they shall say this mercy is due to my personal endeavor & I do not think the Hour will come to pass. And if I am returned to my creator, I shall be unrivaled. However, We (SWT) Will Inform the blasphemous disbelievers of what they perpetrated & We (SWT) Shall evidently make them taste huge chastisement.

41:51

And when We bestow favor upon man, he turns away and distances himself; but when evil touches him, then he is full of extensive supplication (51).

And Upon Granting humankind support from Us (SWT) He / She turn their backs distancing themselves. However, if & when evil touches them, then they perform prolonged Du’a’ (Supplication).

41:52

Say, “Have you considered: if the Qur’an is from Allah and you disbelieved in it, who would be more astray than one who is in extreme dissension?”(52).

Say Oh Muhammad (SAAS):”Have you (blasphemous disbelievers) pondered if the Glorious Qur’an [Delivered From Allah (SWT)] then you were skeptical of it. Who would then be more astray & in extreme dispute & disagreement ?

41:53

We will show them Our signs in the horizons and within themselves until it becomes clear to them that it is the truth. But is it not sufficient concerning your Lord that He is, over all things, a Witness? (53).

We (SWT) Shall Display Our Ayat in the horizons & within themselves until it it is evident that it is the Truth from Allah (SWT). Nevertheless, is it not sufficient that Allah (SWT) is over All His Creation A Witness ?

41:54

Unquestionably, they are in doubt about the meeting with their Lord. Unquestionably He is, of all things, encompassing (54).

Undoubtedly, the blasphemous disbelievers are in suspicion regarding meeting Allah (SWT) in the Hereafter. Unquestionably, He (SWT) Is All Surrounding & All Encompassing.
