Al Shawkani Exegesis – Surat Al Nour

(No 24)

Ayah 1-64

24:1

[This is] a surah which We have sent down and made [that within it] obligatory and revealed therein verses of clear evidence that you might remember (1).

Allah (SWT) commanded humankind revealing this Surah in the Glorious Qr’an to Muslims making its revelation & verses clear evidence to remember. 24:2

The [unmarried] woman or [unmarried] man found guilty of sexual intercourse – lash each one of them with a hundred lashes, and do not be taken by pity for them in the religion of Allah , if you should believe in Allah and the Last Day. And let a group of the believers witness their punishment (2).

The spouseless woman or unmarried man, discovered of being guilty of sexual intercourse, punish them with Islamic Penalisation & Chastisment giving each guilty male & female a hundred lashes, having a group of Muslims witness their punishment, without taking pity of them in Allah (SWT) Religion of Islam.

24:3

The fornicator does not marry except a [female] fornicator or polytheist, and none marries her except a fornicator or a polytheist, and that has been made unlawful to the believers (3).

The Muslim Believers are penalized & disciplined if they (males & females) attempt to marry fornicators or polytheists since that act has been made unlawful to them by Allah (SWT) as revealed in the Glorious Qur’an. 24:4

And those who accuse chaste women and then do not produce four witnesses – lash them with eighty lashes and do not accept from them testimony ever after. And those are the defiantly disobedient, (4).

And those who accuse virgin innocent women without producing four witnesses, then whip them with eighty lashes, not accepting any testimony for them henceforth, since they are certainly rebellious.

24:5

Except for those who repent thereafter and reform, for indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful (5).

Apart from & excluding those who repent & feel regretful thereafter, reforming their personal attitude, then Allah (SWT) is Forgiving & Merciful. 24:6

And those who accuse their wives [of adultery] and have no witnesses except themselves – then the witness of one of them [shall be] four testimonies [swearing] by Allah that indeed, he is of the truthful.

And those Muslims who accuse their wives with adultery having no witnesses except themselves, then the testimony of one will count as four testimonies (swearing on the Glorious Qur’an) by Allah (SWT) that he is uttering the truth.

24:7

And the fifth [oath will be] that the curse of Allah be upon him if he should be among the liars.

Whereas the fifth oath shall be a Curse of Allah (SWT) upon him if he happens to be amongst the liars.

24:8

But it will prevent punishment from her if she gives four testimonies [swearing] by Allah that indeed, he is of the liars (8).

However, punishment will be prevented by her if she gives four oaths by Allah (SWT) that verily he is amongst the liars.

 24:9

And the fifth [oath will be] that the wrath of Allah be upon her if he was of the truthful (9).

While the fifth oath shall be that the resentment of Allah (SWT) be upon her if he was amongst the sincere.

24:10

And if not for the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy… and because Allah is Accepting of repentance and Wise (10).

And if it had not been for Allah (SWT)’s, Grace & Mercy upon His Creation & His Wisdom & Acceptance of Repentance.

24:11

Indeed, those who came with falsehood are a group among you. Do not think it bad for you; rather it is good for you. For every person among them is what [punishment] he has earned from the sin, and he who took upon himself the greater portion thereof – for him is a great punishment (11).

Verily, those who came up with falsehood are a group amongst you. Do not think it is evil but rather good for you. For every person amongst them is that punishment which he has earned from the sin. As for he who took upon himself the greatest portion of sin, then he deserves the greatest punishment. 24:12

Why, when you heard it, did not the believing men and believing women think good of one another and say, “This is an obvious falsehood”?

Why upon hearing it, did the believing men & woman not think descent of each other? Saying this is true falsehood.

24:13

Why did they [who slandered] not produce four witnesses for it? And when they do not produce the witnesses, then it is they, in the sight of Allah, who are the liars (13).

Why did the slanderers not come up with four witnesses (As demanded in Islamic Jurisprudence) for their action? Thus, if they fail to do so, then they are the liars in the sight of Allah (SWT).

24:14

And if it had not been for the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy in this world and the Hereafter, you would have been touched for that [lie] in which you were involved by a great punishment (14).

And had it not been for the Grace & Support of Allah (SWT) along with His Mercy (SWT) upon humankind in this worldly lifetime & in the Hereafter, all humankind would have received extensive penalization.

24:15

When you received it with your tongues and said with your mouths that of which you had no knowledge and thought it was insignificant while it was, in the sight of Allah, tremendous (15).

Upon receiving the news with your tongues & saying with your mouths that which you had no knowledge of, thinking it was insignificant however, in the sight of Allah (SWT) it was Enormous & Mighty.

24:16

And why, when you heard it, did you not say, “It is not for us to speak of this. Exalted are You, [O Allah]; this is a great slander”? (16).

And why, when you heard it, did you not say, “It is not for us to speak of this. Exalted & Glorified Are You, Oh Allah (SWT); This is a great defamation & slander”?

24:17

Allah warns you against returning to the likes of this [conduct], ever, if you should be believers (17).

Allah (SWT) Advises you Muslims against returning to such conduct if you are true believers.

24:18

And Allah makes clear to you the verses, and Allah is Knowing and Wise (18).

And Allah (SWT) Clearly Points Out the Ayat, He (SWT) is The Knowledgeable & The Wise.

24:19

Indeed, those who like that immorality should be spread [or publicized] among those who believe will have a painful punishment in this world and the Hereafter. And Allah knows and you do not know (19).

Verily, those Muslims who like to spread immorality & social corruption amongst Pious & Rightous Muslims shall receive painful chastising in this world & in the Hereafter. And Allah (SWT) Knows while humankind are unaware.

24:20

And if it had not been for the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy… and because Allah is Kind and Merciful (20).

And had it not been for Allah (SWT)’s Favors upon His Creation & Mercy and because Allah (SWT) is Ever Kind & Merciful.

 24:21

O you who have believed, do not follow the footsteps of Satan. And whoever follows the footsteps of Satan – indeed, he enjoins immorality and wrongdoing. And if not for the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy, not one of you would have been pure, ever, but Allah purifies whom He wills, and Allah is Hearing and Knowing (21).

This is a Command by Allah (SWT) to Muslim Believers, “Not to Obey the Footsteps of Al Shaytan”, verily he encourages & beseeches immortality & injustice. And had it not been for the Benevolence & Support of Allah (SWT), no Muslim would have ever been pure. However, Allah (SWT) Purifies whoever He (SWT) Wills, And He (SWT) is Hearing & Knowing.

24:22

And let not those of virtue among you and wealth swear not to give [aid] to their relatives and the needy and the emigrants for the cause of Allah and let them pardon and overlook. Would you not like that Allah should forgive you? And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful (22).

And let those of dignity & ethics amongst you & wealth swear not to give help to their relatives & the needy as well as the emigrants for the Cause of Allah (SWT). Would you not appreciate that Allah (SWT) should forgive you? And He (SWT) Is Forgiving & Merciful.

24:23

Indeed, those who [falsely] accuse chaste, unaware and believing women are cursed in this world and the Hereafter; and they will have a great punishment (23).

Verily, those Muslim Believers who accuse chastised, uninformed believing women are cursed in this worldly lifetime & in the Hereafter, Receiving Untold Chastisement.

24:24

On a Day when their tongues, their hands and their feet will bear witness against them as to what they used to do (24).

On the Day (Judgment Day) when the tongues, hands & feet of humankind shall bear witness against them as to what they perpetuated in their worldly lifetime.

24:25

That Day, Allah will pay them in full their deserved recompense, and they will know that it is Allah who is perfect in justice (25).

On Judgment Day. Allah (SWT) Shall Pay the Righteous Muslim Believers their deserved indemnification comprehending fully that Allah (SWT) is Perfect & Complete in Justice.

24:26

Evil words are for evil men, and evil men are [subjected] to evil words. And good words are for good men, and good men are [an object] of good words. Those [good people] are declared innocent of what the slanderers say. For them is forgiveness and noble provision.

Evil women provide accommodation for & harbor evil men. Conversely, evil men provide accommodation for & harbor evil women. Reciprocally, descent men are ideal for descent woman & hence are innocent of what the slanderers & the calumniators say. For the good practicing Muslims Allah (SWT) Has Prepared Forgiveness & Noble Provision.

24:27

O you who believed, do not enter houses other than your own houses until you ascertain welcome and greet their inhabitants. That is best for you; perhaps you will be reminded (27).

Oh, you Muslim believers, do not enter houses other than yours, until you are sure of being welcomed & greeted by its inhabitants. That action is best for you, maybe you’ll be reminded. 24:28

And if you do not find anyone therein, do not enter them until permission has been given to you. And if it is said to you, “Go back,” then go back; it is purer for you. And Allah is Knowing of what you do (28).

And if you happen to not find anyone inside, do not enter them until permission has been issued to you. And if you are told to “Go back, then go back”, it is more descent for you. And Allah (SWT) is Knowledgeable of what humankind does & perpetrates.

24:29

There is no blame upon you for entering houses not inhabited in which there is convenience for you. And Allah knows what you reveal and what you conceal (29).

Muslim believers are not blamed for entering uninhabited houses which contain comfort & benefit for them. And Allah (SWT) is aware of what they reveal & conceal.

24:30

Tell the believing men to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts. That is purer for them. Indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what they do (30).

Oh Muhammad (SAAS) advise the believers who follow your footsteps to lower part of their gaze & guard their personal parts. That indeed is best for them. Certainly, Allah (SWT) is aware of what Believers Perform & Implement.

24:31

And tell the believing women to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts and not expose their adornment except that which [necessarily] appears thereof and to wrap [a portion of] their headcovers over their chests and not expose their adornment except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands’ fathers, their sons, their husbands’ sons, their brothers, their brothers’ sons, their sisters’ sons, their women, that which their right hands possess, or those male attendants having no physical desire, or children who are not yet aware of the private aspects of women. And let them not stamp their feet to make known what they conceal of their adornment. And turn to Allah in repentance, all of you, O believers, that you might succeed (31).

And Oh Muhammad (SAAS) order the believing women (In Islam) to reduce part of their “gaze” & guard their personal organs, not exposing their adornment except that which [necessarily] appears thereof and to wrap [a portion of] their headcovers over their chests and not expose their adornment or ornament except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands’ fathers, their sons, their husbands’ sons, their brothers, their brothers’ sons, their sisters’ sons, their women, that which their right hands possess (according to the Muslim Sunnah). As for male servants or attendants who have no physical desire to approach unmarried Muslim woman or children who are not yet conscious of the private organs of women. And let them not stamp their feet to make known what they conceal of their adornment or ornaments. And turn to Allah in repentance, all of you, Muslim believers, that you might succeed in the Sight of Allah (SWT).

24:32

And marry the unmarried among you and the righteous among your male slaves and female slaves. If they should be poor, Allah will enrich them from His bounty, and Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing (32).

And get married to the spouseless amongst you & the righteous amongst your male & female slaves. If they happen to be poor, Allah (SWT) shall enrich them from His Bounty and He (SWT) is All Encompassing & Knowledgeable. 24:33

But let them who find not [the means for] marriage abstain [from sexual relations] until Allah enriches them from His bounty. And those who seek a contract [for eventual emancipation] from among whom your right hands possess – then make a contract with them if you know there is within them goodness and give them from the wealth of Allah which He has given you. And do not compel your slave girls to prostitution, if they desire chastity, to seek [thereby] the temporary interests of world lifetime. And if someone should compel them, then indeed, Allah is [to them], after their compulsion, Forgiving and Merciful (33).

This is a Detailed Command from Allah (SWT) through Prophet Muhammad (SAAS) to Believing Muslims that males & females who cannot find the means for lawful Muslim Marriage should refrain from sexual relationships until Allah (SWT) enriches & intensifies their financial status from His Bounty (SWT). As for those Muslims who seek a contract (For Eventual Emancipation) from among whom your “Muslim Right Hands” Possess. Then make a contract with the female virgins if there is goodness & decency in them, giving them from the Wealth of Allah (SWT). After their compulsion, Allah (SWT) is Forgiving & Merciful.

24:34

And We have certainly sent down to you distinct verses and examples from those who passed on before you and an admonition for those who fear Allah (34).

And We (SWT) Have Surely & Certainly Delivered through Prophet Muhammad (SAAS) to Muslim Believers Distinct Ayat (Mentioned in the Glorious Qur’an) from previous nations who passed on before Muslims a reminder & admonition for humankind fearing Allah (SWT).

24:35

Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The example of His light is like a niche within which is a lamp, the lamp is within glass, the glass as if it were a pearly [white] star lit from [the oil of] a blessed olive tree, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil would almost glow even if untouched by fire. Light upon light. Allah guides to His light whom He wills. And Allah presents examples for the people, and Allah is Knowing of all things (35).

Allah (SWT) Is the Illumination of the Heavens & the Earth. An example of His Light (SWT) Is Like a Pendant containing a Lamp. The lamp is housed within glass, the glass is as if it were a “Pearly White Star Being Lit Via the Oil of A Blessed Olive Tree, Neither Belonging to the East nor To the West”. The Oil of which would “Glow even if untouched by fire”.

The expression of “light upon light” implies that the Heart of the Practicing Muslim Acts with the “Guidance Before Receiving Muslim Knowledge”.

Allah (SWT) Guides to His Light whom He (SWT) Wishes. And Allah (SWT) Presents Examples for Humankind and is Knowledgeable of All Creation.

24:36

[Such niches are] in mosques which Allah has ordered to be raised and that His name be mentioned therein, exalting Him within them in the morning and the evenings (36).

Such sanctuaries exist in mosques which Allah (SWT) has commanded Muslims to mention Him (SWT) therein, glorifying & exalting Him (SWT) morning & evening.

24:37

[Are] men whom neither commerce nor sale distract them from the remembrance of Allah and performance of prayer and giving of zakah. They fear a Day in which the hearts and eyes will [fearfully] turnabout

Those are Muslim men who neither commerce nor sale divert them from the remembrance of Allah (SWT), performing five-time daily prayers & giving out alms (Zakah). Those Muslims fear the Day in which their hearts & eyes turnabout in fear & trepidation.

24:38

That Allah may reward them [according to] the best of what they did and increase them from His bounty. And Allah gives provision to whom He wills without account.

So that Allah (SWT) Will Reward the Muslim Believers according to best of what they achieved in their worldly lifetime & augment them from His Bounty (SWT). And Allah (SWT) Grants Provision to whom He (SWT) Desires Beyond reason & consideration.

24:39

But those who disbelieved – their deeds are like a mirage in a lowland which a thirsty one thinks is water until, when he comes to it, he finds it is nothing but finds Allah before Him, and He will pay him in full his due; and Allah is swift in account (39).

However, humankind who disbelieved, their deeds resemble a ‘mirage’ existing in a ‘lowland’ which a thirsty human being considers it nourishing “water”, until upon sighting it, he/she discovers nothing except finding Allah (SWT) before them, & He (SWT) shall pay them in full His Due. Allah (SWT) is fast & speedy in accounts.

24:40

Or [they are] like darknesses within an unfathomable sea which is covered by waves, upon which are waves, over which are clouds – darknesses, some of them upon others. When one puts out his hand [therein], he can hardly see it. And he to whom Allah has not granted light – for him there is no light (40).

Or resemble tenebrosity within a “fathomless abyssal” sea. The sea is covered by waves, upon which are waves, over which are clouds. Darknesses are some of which overlying over others. If humankind stretches out their hand, they can barely spot them. And to whom Allah (SWT) Has not endowed “light” then they have no light.

24:41

Do you not see that Allah is exalted by whomever is within the heavens and the earth and [by] the birds with wings spread [in flight]? Each [of them] has known his [means of] prayer and exalting [Him], and Allah is Knowing of what they do (41).

Oh Muhammad (SAAS) are you not aware that Allah (SWT) is Glorified & Exalted by all His creation in the Heavens & Earth as well as the birds spreading their wings in flight? Each bird is aware of its Prayers & Glorifying Him (SWT) & He (SWT) is Fully Knowledgeable of what these creatures are doing.

24:42

And to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and to Allah is the destination (42).

And to Allah (SWT) Belongs the Dominion & Sovereignty of the heavens & the earth to Allah (SWT) is the destination & terminus.

24:43

Do you not see that Allah drives clouds? Then He brings them together, then He makes them into a mass, and you see the rain emerge from within it. And He sends down from the sky, mountains [of clouds] within which is hail, and He strikes with it whom He wills and averts it from whom He wills. The flash of its lightning almost takes away the eyesight (43).

Oh Muhammad (SAAS) Do you not see that Allah (SWT) drives clouds? Subsequently, He (SWT) collects them together, making them into a large mass and you see rain emanating from within. Thence, He (SWT) brings down from the skies mountains of clouds harboring hail. He (SWT) then strikes with the hail (storm) who He (SWT) designates & bypass it from whom He (SWT) Wishes. The flash of the lightning nearly blinds the human eyesight.  24:44

Allah alternates the night and day. Indeed, that is a lesson for those who have vision (44).

Allah (SWT) alternates the night and the day occurring in rotation. Verily, in this Creation is a moral for humankind who possess vision.

24:45

Allah has created every [living] creature from water. And of them are those that move on their bellies, and of them are those that walk on two legs, and of them are those that walk on four. Allah creates what He wills. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent (45).

Allah (SWT) has created & originated every living entity from fresh water. Some creatures are those which move on their abdomen, while others walk on two legs, yet others walk on four legs. Allah (SWT) Creates what He (SWT) Wishes.

Truly, Allah (SWT) is Competent & Mighty over all His Creation.

24:46

We have certainly sent down distinct verses. And Allah guides whom He wills to a  straight path (46).

We (SWT) Have Definitely Delivered Clear & Distinct Ayat in the Glorious Qur’an, And He (SWT) Guides Whoever He Wills to a Straight Path. 24:47

But the hypocrites say, “We have believed in Allah and in the Messenger, and we obey”; then a party of them turns away after that. And those are not believers (47).

But the deceitful deceptive hypocrites respond to Prophet Muhammad (SAAS) by saying: “We have believed in Allah (SWT) & in the Messenger, and we obey. However, later a party turns their backs to the Muslim Believers. Those are not believers in Islam nor in Prophet Muhammad (SAAS).

24:48

And when they are called to [the words of] Allah and His Messenger to judge between them, at once a party of them turns aside [in refusal] (48).

And upon being invited to the words of Allah (SWT) & His Messenger Muhammad (SAAS) as revealed in the Glorious Qur’an to Judge between their disputes, immediately a party amongst them turn their backs in refusal.

24:49

But if the right is theirs, they come to him in prompt obedience (49).

However, if the hypocrites possess the right, they congregate around the Messenger (SAAS) immediately, promptly & obediently.

24:50

Is there disease in their hearts? Or have they doubted? Or do they fear that Allah will be unjust to them, or His Messenger? Rather, it is they who are the wrongdoers (50).

In this Ayah #50 of Surat Al Nour, Allah (SWT) describes the hypocrites as having diseased hearts? Or do they have doubts that Allah (SWT) & His Messenger (SAAS) will be unjust with them in the Hereafter. However, it is they who are the aberrant, trespassers & offenders.

24:51

The only statement of the [true] believers when they are called to Allah and His Messenger to judge between them is that they say, “We hear and we obey.” And those are the successful.

Upon being called to Allah (SWT) & His Messenger (SAAS) to judge amongst them, the sincere Muslims & True Believers shall say: “All                                                                                                 Eyes, Ears in Obeyance & Obedience”!!! Those Muslims are the successful & the prosperous.

24:52

And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger and fears Allah and is conscious of Him – it is those who are the attainers (52).

And whosoever submits to Allah (SWT) & His Messenger Muhammad (SAAS), fearing Him (SWT) & is Aware of His Might (SWT), then those Muslims are the prosperous.

24:53

And they swear by Allah their strongest oaths that if you ordered them, they would go forth [in Allah ‘s cause]. Say, “Do not swear. [Such] obedience is known. Indeed, Allah is Acquainted with that which you do” (53).

And the blasphemous disbelievers swear by Allah (SWT) their strongest oaths that they would proceed forth in Allah (SWT) cause. Say Oh Muhammad (SAAS) Do not swear. Such Obedience is Known. Realistically, Allah (SWT) is familiar with what you perpetrate. 24:54

Say, “Obey Allah and obey the Messenger; but if you turn away – then upon him is only that [duty] with which he has been charged, and upon you is that with which you have been charged. And if you obey him, you will be [rightly] guided. And there is not upon the Messenger except the [responsibility for] clear notification” (54).

Say Oh Muhammad (SAAS): “Submit to Allah (SWT) & Obey His Messenger (SAAS). However, if you turn your back, then upon Him (SAAS) is that duty with which you have been charged. And if you Obey Him (SAAS) you shall be “rightly” guided. And there will not be upon the Messenger (SAAS) except “Clear Notification”.

24:55

Allah has promised those who have believed among you and done righteous deeds that He will surely grant them succession [to authority] upon the earth just as He granted it to those before them and that He will surely establish for them [therein] their religion which He has preferred for them and that He will surely substitute for them, after their fear, security, [for] they worship Me, not associating anything with Me. But whoever disbelieves after that – then those are the defiantly disobedient (55).

Allah (SWT) Has Pledged & Guaranteed that humankind who have Believed in Him (SWT) & His Messenger Muhammad (SAAS) & performed righteous deeds that He (SWT) Will evidently award them succession to authority on the face of the earth just as He (SWT) Awarded it to humankind before them. And that He (SWT) shall determinedly & assuredly substitute for them, after their fear, security & freedom to worship Me (SWT), not associating any deity with Me (SWT). However, who will disbelieve subsequently, then they are the defiant blasphemous disbelievers.

24:56

And establish prayer and give zakah and obey the Messenger – that you may receive mercy (56).

And establish five-time daily Muslim prayers, give out Alms (Zakah) and Obey the Last Prophet & Messenger Muhammad (SAAS), perhaps Allah (SWT) Will Grant abiding Muslims Mercy on Judgment Day.

24:57

Never think that the disbelievers are causing failure [to Allah] upon the earth. Their refuge will be the Fire – and how wretched the destination (57).

Oh Muhammad (SAAS) never deem or reckon that the blasphemous disbelievers are causing inexplicable distress on the earth. Their asylum shall be hellfire & what a wretched destination.

24:58

O you who believed, let those whom your right hands possess and those who have not [yet] reached puberty among you ask permission of you [before entering] at three times: before dawn prayer and when you put aside your clothing [for rest] at noon and after the night prayer. [These are] three times of privacy for you. There is no blame upon you nor upon them beyond these [periods], for they continually circulate among you – some of you, among others. Thus does Allah make clear to you the verses; and Allah is Knowing and Wise (58).

Oh, you Muslims who have believed in Allah (SWT) & His Messenger Muhammad (SAAS), let those whom your right hands possess as well as who have not yet reached adulthood amongst you ask permission from you (before entering your home): before dawn prayer, at noon prayer & after night prayer. These are the times of privacy for all Muslims which continuously circulate amongst you. Hence, Allah (SWT) Clarifies His Ayat to Muslims & He (SWT) is All Knowledgeable & Wise.

24:59

And when the children among you reach puberty, let them always ask permission as those before them have done. Thus does Allah makes clear to you His verses; and Allah is Knowing and Wise (59).

And if & when the children amongst you attain adulthood, let them Oh Muhammad (SAAS) ask permission as explained previously (in Ayah 58). And hence Allah (SWT) makes His Ayat Clear to His Messenger (SAAS) and He (SWT) is All Knowledgeable & Wise.

24:60

And women of post-menstrual age who have no desire for marriage – there is no blame upon them for putting aside their outer garments [but] not displaying adornment. But to modestly refrain [from that] is better for them. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing (60).

And for Muslim women who have entered post-menstrual age & who have given up their desire for marriage, there is no liability upon them for forsaking their outer garments without displaying their embellishment or adornments. However, refraining from that is much more sacred & divine for them. And Allah (SWT) is All Hearing & Knowledgeable.

24:61

There is not upon the blind [any] constraint nor upon the lame constraint nor upon the ill constraint nor upon yourselves when you eat from your [own] houses or the houses of your fathers or the houses of your mothers or the houses of your brothers or the houses of your sisters or the houses of your father’s brothers or the houses of your father’s sisters or the houses of your mother’s brothers or the houses of your mother’s sisters or [from houses] whose keys you possess or [from the house] of your friend. There is no blame upon you whether you eat together or separately. But when you enter houses, give greetings of peace upon each other – a greeting from Allah, blessed and good. Thus does Allah make clear to you the verses [of ordinance] that you may understand (61).

In practicing the Muslim Religion according to the Commands of Allah (SWT) & as revealed in the Glorious Qur’an, there is not upon the blind constraint nor upon the crippled, lame, incapacitated & infirm nor upon the ill nor upon yourselves constraint when you eat from your [own] houses or the houses of your fathers or the houses of your mothers or the houses of your brothers or the houses of your sisters or the houses of your father’s brothers or the houses of your father’s sisters or the houses of your mother’s brothers or the houses of your mother’s sisters or [from houses] whose keys you possess or [from the house] of your friend. There is no blame upon you whether you eat together or separately. But when you enter houses, give greetings of peace upon each other – a greeting from Allah (SWT), blessed and good. Thus does Allah make clear to you the verses [of ordinance] that you may understand.

24:62

The believers are only those who believe in Allah and His Messenger and, when they are [meeting] with him for a matter of common interest, do not depart until they have asked his permission. Indeed, those who ask your permission, [O Muhammad] – those are the ones who believe in Allah and His Messenger. So, when they ask your permission for something of their affairs, then give permission to whom you will among them and ask forgiveness for them of Allah. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful (62).

The True Believers are (exclusively & solely) those who Believe in Allah (SWT) & His Messenger (SAAS) & upon meeting The Final Prophet & Messenger Muhammad (SAAS), with him for a matter of common interest, do not depart until they have asked his permission.

Certainly, those who ask your permission, Oh Muhammad (SAAS)- are those who believe in Allah and His Messenger. Thus, when they ask for permission concerning something regarding their affairs, then give permission to whom you will amongst them and ask forgiveness for them from Allah (SWT). Truely, Allah (SWT) is Forgiving and Merciful.

24:63

Do not make [your] calling of the Messenger among yourselves as the call of one of you to another. Already Allah knows those of you who slip away, concealed by others. So let those beware who dissent from the Prophet’s order, lest fitnah strike them or a painful punishment (63).

Oh, you Muslim Believers in Islam & in the Last Messenger Muhammad (SAAS) do not call the Messenger (SAAS) amongst yourselves like the call of each of you to one another. Allah (SWT) is surely aware of those who leave slipping away quietly hiding between others. Hence, let those beware who dissent from the Prophet (SAAS)’s command with the intention of preventing trial & temptation or a painful penalty & retribution.

24:64

Unquestionably, to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and earth. Already He knows that upon which you [stand] and [knows] the Day when they will be returned to Him and He will inform them of what they have done. And Allah is Knowing of all things (64).

Undoubtedly to Allah (SWT) belongs the Ownership of the Heavens & the Earth and whatever is in between. He (SWT) Is Already Aware of that upon which humankind stands upon & knows of Judgment Day. On that Day each & every human soul shall be informed of what it perpetrated. And Allah (SWT) is Knowledgeable of All His Creation.
