Al Anka But (The Spider)
(Surah No. 29)
Ayat 1-69
Alif, Lam, Meem
These are Arabic letters in the Glorious Qur’an. Only Allah (SWT) knows their meaning.
Do people think that they will be left to say, “We believe” and they will not be tried?
Does humankind believe that they shall be left to say that they “believe” without being tested?
But We have certainly tried those before them, and Allah will surely make evident about those who are truthful, and He will surely make evident in the liars (3).
However, We (SWT) obviously have appraised them & those before them. And thus, Allah (SWT) shall truly make those who are truthful evident and expose humankind who are falsifiers.
Or do those who do evil deeds think they can outrun Us? Evil is what they judge.
Or do those humankinds who do wicked deeds transcend Us (SWT)? Sinister is their judgment.
Whoever should hope for the meeting with Allah – indeed, the term decreed by Allah is coming. And He is Hearing, Knowing (5).
Whosoever wishes for the encounter with Allah (SWT), then truly the term prescribed by SWT is arriving in the Hereafter. And He (SWT) is both (Hearing) Listening & Knowing (Knowledgeable).
And whoever strives only strives for [the benefit of] himself. Indeed, Allah is free from need of the world (6).
And whosoever struggles striving for the benefit of himself, then truly Allah (SWT) has no need or obligation for those humankinds who do good or bad in their worldly lifetime.
And those who believe and do righteous deeds – We will surely remove from them their misdeeds and will surely reward them according to the best of what they used to do (7).
And those who believe in Islam & Muhammad (SAAS) perform righteous deeds, We (SWT) shall evidently eliminate their misdeeds, & will certainly eliminate their trespassing & wrongdoing.
And We have enjoined upon man goodness to parents. But if they endeavor to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them. To Me is your return, and I will inform you about what you used to do (8).
And We (SWT) Decreed & Commanded Practicing Muslims to be descent & kind to their parents. However, if your parents attempt to make you pursue that of which you have no knowledge of, then do not obey them. To Me (SWT) will be your reversion & I shall acquaint you with what you used to implement in your worldly lifetime. 
And those who believe and do righteous deeds – We will surely admit them among the righteous [into Paradise] (9).
And as for those who are Muslim believers, We (SWT) shall evidently acknowledge them amongst the righteous in Jannat-ul-Naeem.
And of the people there are some who say, “We believe in Allah,” but when one [of them] is harmed for [the cause of] Allah, they consider the trial of the people as [if it were] the punishment of Allah. But if victory comes from your Lord, they say, “Indeed, We were with you.” Is not Allah most knowing of what is within the breasts of all creatures?
And some humankind say they believe in Allah (SWT), however if one of them is injured for His Sake (SWT), they regard it as chastisement from Him (SWT). However, when victory comes to them, they regard it as victory from Him (SWT), saying “surely we were on your side”. Hence is Allah (SWT) knowledgeable of the chests of His creation?
And Allah will surely make evident those who believe, and He will surely make evident the hypocrites (11).
And Allah (SWT) shall & will surely expose the Muslim believers & expose those who are hypocrites.
And those who disbelieve say to those who believe, “Follow our way, and we will carry your sins.” But they will not carry anything of their sins. Indeed, they are liars (12).
And blasphemous disbelievers would say to the believing Muslims, “Trail our way and we shall support & shoulder your sins”. However, they are illusionists & fabricators, since they will not shoulder any of the Muslim sins since they are outright liars.
But they will surely carry their [own] burdens and [other] burdens along with their burdens, and they will surely be questioned on the Day of Resurrection about what they used to invent (13).
Undoubtedly, the blasphemous disbelievers shall evidently carry their burdens along with the burdens of other humankind and on Judgment Day they will be certainly interrogated regarding what they used to contrive.
And We certainly sent Noah to his people, and he remained among them a thousand years minus fifty years, and the flood seized them while they were wrongdoers (14).
And We (SWT) Surely Delivered Prophet Nouh to his people, and He remained amongst them nine hundred years minus fifty years, and the flood while they were unjust & oppressive.
But We saved him and the companions of the ship, and We made it a sign for the worlds (15).
However, We (SWT) Conserved him & the ship companions, thus making it An Ayah for the worlds.
And [We sent] Abraham, when he said to his people, “Worship Allah and fear Him. That is best for you, if you should know (16).
And We (SWT) Delivered Ibraheem, at which point he said to his people, “Worship Allah (SWT) & be Apprehensive of Him (SWT). That is preferable for you if you should comprehend.
You only worship, besides Allah, idols, and you produce a falsehood. Indeed, those you worship besides Allah do not possess for you [the power of] provision. So seek from Allah provision and worship Him and be grateful to Him. To Him you will be returned”(17).
Prophet Ibraheem said to his people & those who follow him, you are worshipping idols & deities other than Allah (SWT) who conjure falsehood. Truly, those deities which you worship other than Allah (SWT) do not possess for humankind the ability to provide food & drink. Thus, seek from Allah (SWT) all the food & drink you need, worshiping & being grateful for all His Sustenance. In the Hereafter all creation will be returning to Him (SWT) to face what they have perpetrated in their worldly lifetime.
And if you [people] deny [the message] – already nations before you have denied. And there is not upon the Messenger except [the duty of] clear notification (18).
And if humankind denies the Message of Prophet Muhammad (SAAS), then nations have denied it before you. And therefore, the task of the Messenger of Islam (SAAS) is evident, clear & obvious in His Message to Muslims practicing Islam in their lifetime.
Have they not considered how Allah begins creation and then repeats it? Indeed that, for Allah, is easy (19).
Have creation (humankind, animals & plantations) not considered how Allah (SWT) starts creation, then repeats it? Truly & evidently that Task is simple & manageable to Allah (SWT).
Say, [O Muhammad], “Travel through the land and observe how He began creation. Then Allah will produce the final creation. Indeed Allah, over all things, is competent”(20).
Oh, Prophet of Islam Muhammad (SAAS),” Journey across the earth & observe how Allah (SWT) started His Creation”. Finally, (SWT) shall create the final humankind to undergo Judgment Day in the Hereafter.
He punishes whom He wills and has mercy upon whom He wills, and to Him you will be returned.
He (SWT) Torments whom He Desires & Encompasses with Mercy & Grace whom He Wills, and All Humankind shall return to Him (SWT) on Judgment Day. 
And you will not cause failure [to Allah] upon the earth or in the heavens. And you have no other than Allah, any protector or any helper (22).
And you humankind shall not defeat or cause disability to Allah (SWT) upon the earth or in heavens. Neither does humankind have protectors or custodians. 
And the ones who disbelieve in the signs of Allah and the meeting with Him – those have despaired of My mercy, and they will have a painful punishment (23).
And those humankinds who have disbelieved in the Ayat of Allah (SWT) & their meeting Him (SWT) have despaired & have become despondent from His Mercy & Grace shall receive painful torment in the Hereafter.
And the answer of Abraham’s people was not but that they said, “Kill him or burn him,” but Allah saved him from the fire. Indeed, in that are signs for people who believe (24).
And the response of Prophet Ibraheem’s people was nothing but saying, “Kill or burn him, however, Allah (SWT) retrieved & averted him from the fire. Truly, in that act are Ayat for believers in Allah (SWT).
And [Abraham] said, “You have only taken, other than Allah, idols as [a bond of] affection among you in worldly life. Then on the Day of Resurrection you will deny one another and curse one another, and your refuge will be the Fire, and you will not have any help”(25).
And Prophet Ibraheem said to his people, “You have taken idols & deities other than Allah (SWT) to have affection amongst yourselves in the worldly lifetime. Then on Resurrection Day all humankind shall deny & curse each other and sanctuary will be Hellfire with no assistance.
And Lot believed him. [Abraham] said, “Indeed, I will emigrate to [the service of] my Lord. Indeed, He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise”(26).
And Prophet Lout submitted to Prophet Ibraheem (Being his nephew) immigrated with Prophet Ibraheem’s wife Sarah to Syria (Al Sham).
And We gave to Him Isaac and Jacob and placed in his descendants prophethood and scripture. And We gave him his reward in this world, and indeed, he is in the Hereafter among the righteous (27).
And We (SWT) Gifted Prophet Ibraheem Prophets Ishaq & Yaqoub & Granted Him before them Prophet Isma’eel placed in their descendants prophethood & scriptures. And We (SWT) Gifted Ibraheem his reward in this worldly life and evidently, he is amongst the just & righteous.
And [mention] Lot, when he said to his people, “Indeed, you commit such immorality as no one has preceded you with from among the worlds (28).
And Prophet Lout when he reprimanded his people saying, “Undoubtedly you commit such immoral sins by performing male unisexual acts, no humankind has paved & predated the way for this act amongst the worlds”.
Indeed, you approach men and obstruct the road and commit in your meetings [every] evil.” And the answer of his people was not but they said, “Bring us the punishment of Allah, if you should be amongst the truthful”(29).
You indeed approach males (sexually), obstructing their commuting road & you consume alcohol in your clubs. The answer of Prophet Lout’s followers was,” Come up with Allah (SWT)’s Punishment if you happen to be amongst the sincere & truthful.
He said, “My Lord, support me against corrupting people”(30).
Prophet Lout Supplicated to Allah (SWT), “Oh My Creator make me victorious over my corrupting people”.
And when Our messengers came to Abraham with the good tidings, they said, “Indeed, we will destroy the people of that Lot’s city. Indeed, its people have been wrongdoers”(31).
And once Our Messengers arrived at Prophet Ibraheem with the Glad Tidings, they responded, “honestly, we shall destroy the people inhabiting Prophet Lout’s village. Truly, they have been aberrant transgressors.
[Abraham] said, “Indeed, within it is Lot.” They said, “We know more about who is within it. We will surely save him and his family, except his wife. She is to be of those who remain behind” (32).
Prophet Ibraheem said within it is my nephew, Prophet Lout. They replied we are more aware of who is within it. We shall save him & his family, excluding his wife. She will remain behind.
And when Our messengers came to Lot, he was distressed for them and felt for them great discomfort. They said, “Fear not, nor grief. Indeed, we will save you and your family, except your wife; she is to be of those who remain behind (33).
And upon the Messengers of Allah (SWT) reached Prophet Lout, He was in anguish & torment for them. They said do not be afraid or grief. Evidently, We will save you & your family, excluding your wife. She is to be left behind.
Indeed, we will bring down on the people of this city punishment from the sky because they have been defiantly disobedient”(34).
Truly, We (SWT) will deliver on the inhabitants of this village torment from the Heavens due to their defiant disobedient behavior.
And We have certainly left of it a sign as clear evidence for a people who use reason (35).
And We (SWT) evidently left from it a sign as clear evidence for humankind who use reasoning.
And to Madyan [We sent] their brother Shu’ayb, and he said, “O my people, worship Allah and expect the Last Day and do not commit abuse on the earth, spreading corruption”(36).
And We (SWT) Delivered to the people of Madyan their Prophet Shu’ayb who said “Oh my people Worship Allah (SWT) & hope for Judgment Day, refraining from committing abuse or spreading corruption.
But they denied him, so the earthquake seized them, and they became within their home [corpses] fallen prone (37).
However, the Madyan people repudiated Prophet Shu’ayb, thus the earthquake struck them causing them to become fallen corpses inside their homes.
And [We destroyed] ‘Aad and Thamud, and it has become clear to you from their [ruined] dwellings. And Satan had made pleasing to them their deeds and averted them from the path, and they were endowed with perception (38).
And We (SWT) Demolished the people of Aad & Thamud as seen through observing their ruined dwellings. And Al Shaytan attracted them via their deeds, preventing them from striving on the correct path, and they were furnished with their natural faculties to be able to perceive.
And [We destroyed] Qarun and Pharaoh and Haman. And Moses had already come to them with clear evidence, and they were arrogant in the land, but they were not outrunners [of Our punishment] (39).
And We (SWT) Eliminated the Tyrants: Qarun, Pharaoh & Haman. And Prophet Mousa had come to them with clear & obvious evidence, showing arrogance on the land. However, they did not escape the Punishment & Torment of Allah (SWT).
So, each We seized for his sin; and among them were those upon whom We sent a storm of stones, and among them were those who were seized by the blast [from the sky], and among them were those whom We caused the earth to swallow, and among them were those whom We drowned. And Allah would not have wronged them, but it was they who were wronging themselves (40).
Thus, We (SWT) captured each for their transgression. Thus some of them We (SWT) delivered a storm of stones; and amongst them those who were seized by the “scream from the skies” & amongst them were those whom We (SWT) Caused the earth to subside & swallow them. While, yet others We (SWT) Drowned. And Allah (SWT) would not have unjustly treated them, however, they were unjustly treating themselves.
The example of those who take allies other than Allah is like that of the spider who takes a home. And indeed, the weakest of homes is the home of the spider, if they only knew (41).
The paradigm of those who undertake allies other than Allah (SWT) are like a spider who “constructs” their home from a “spiderweb”, and truly the ‘weakest’ home is that of a spider, if only humans knew.
Indeed, Allah knows whatever thing they call upon other than Him. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise (42).
Truly, Allah (SWT) is aware of whatever creation humankind calls upon other than Him (SWT), for He (SWT) is the Exhaled in Might & in Wisdom.
And these examples We present to the people, but none will understand them except those of knowledge (43).
And these are examples We (SWT) express to humankind; however, no one shall comprehend them, only those with previous knowledge.
Allah created the heavens and the earth in truth. Indeed, that is a sign for the believers (44).
Allah (SWT) Created the Heavens & the Earth with Truth & Reality. Truly, that is an Ayah for Muslim Believers.
Recite, [O Muhammad], what has been revealed to you of the Book and establish prayer. Indeed, prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing, and the remembrance of Allah is greater. And Allah knows what you do (45).
Oh Muhammad (SAAS) Recite the Revelation of the Glorious Qur’an & Establish Five Daily Prayers (Teaching it to your Muslim followers). Truly Muslim prayers interdicts & disallows misconduct as well as lawlessness, thus the Remembrance of Allah (SWT) is Greater and He (SWT) Is Aware of what humankind perpetrates.
And do not argue with the People of the Scripture except in a way that is best, except for those who commit injustice among them, and say, “We believe in that which has been revealed to us and revealed to you. And our God and your God is one; and we are Muslims [in submission] to Him”(46).
And Oh Muslims, do not argue & vindicate the People of the Scripture (Jews & Christians) except in a descent way. Excluding those who have committed injustice. Tell them, We Muslims believe in the Revelation of What has been Revealed to Us (Muslims) & Revealed to You. And Our Creator & Your Creator is One [Allah (SWT)] & we are Muslims in Submission to Him (SWT).
And thus, We have sent down to you the Qur’an. And those to whom We [previously] gave the Scripture believe in it. And among these [people of Makkah] are those who believe in it. And none reject Our verses except the disbelievers (47).
And hence, We (SWT) Delivered to you Oh Muhammad (SAAS) the Glorious Qur’an. And that humankind whom We (SWT) previously revealed the Taura to the Jews & the Bible to the Christians believe in the Muslim Qur’an. And no humankind rejects the verses of the Glorious Qur’an except the blasphemous disbelievers.
And you did not recite before it any scripture, nor did you inscribe one with your right hand. Otherwise, the falsifiers would have had [cause for] doubt (48).
And Oh Muhammad (SAAS), you did not recite any holy scripture, nor did you inscribe & engrave one with your right hand. Apart from that, the deceitful would have a cause for doubting your action.
But they say, “Why are not signs sent down to him from his Lord?” Say, “The signs are only with Allah, and I am only a clear warner”(50).
However, the Jews & Christians would say,” Why has He (Muhammad) not been Revealed with Ayat from Allah (SWT)? Tell them the Ayat are only with Allah (SWT) & I am an obvious & clear omen.
And is it not sufficient for them that We revealed to you the Book which is recited to them? Indeed, that is a mercy and reminder for people who believe (51).
And Oh Muhammad (SAAS) is it not sufficient for them that We (SWT) Revealed to you the Glorious Qur’an which is recited to them. Truly, in that is a Mercy, Blessing & a reminder for believing humankind.
Say, “Sufficient is Allah between me and you as Witness. He knows what is in the heavens and earth. And they who have believed in falsehood and disbelieved in Allah – it is those who are the losers”(52).
Declare Oh Muhammad (SAAS) that, “Allah (SWT) is adequate between us as a Witness. He (SWT) is fully knowledgeable of what exists in the Heavens & on the Earth. And those who have believed in deceitfulness, disbelieving in Allah (SWT) are the true losers.
And they urge you to hasten the punishment. And if not for [the decree of] a specified term, punishment would have reached them. But it will surely come to them suddenly while they perceive not (53).
And Oh Muhammad (SAAS) the blasphemous disbelievers urge you to “sarcastically” speed-up their torment. However, punishment will surely arrive suddenly while they will not be perceived by them.
They urge you to hasten the punishment. And indeed, Hell will be encompassing of the disbelievers (54).
The blasphemous disbelievers force you Oh Muhammad (SAAS) to speed up their torment. And surely & evidently, inferno shall encompass them in the Hereafter.
On the Day the punishment will cover them from above them and from below their feet and it is said, “Taste [the result of] what you used to do”(55).
On Judgment Day, the torment shall cover the blasphemous disbelievers from above their heads & from below their feet and Allah (SWT) or Angles upon His Command will say, “Taste the consequences of what you used to perpetrate in your worldly lifetime.
O My servants who have believed, indeed My earth is spacious, so worship only Me (56).
Oh, My human servants who believed in Me (SWT), truly My Earth is Spacious, hence Submit & Worship Me.
Each human soul will taste death (57).
Each human soul will taste death. Henceforth, humankind shall return to its Creator Allah (SWT).
And those who have believed and done righteous deeds – We will surely assign to them of Paradise [elevated] chambers beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally. Excellent is the reward of the [righteous] workers (58).
And those Muslims who have believed in Allah (SWT), In Muhammad (SAAS) & in Islam, performing righteous deeds, We (SWT) shall locate them into elevated chambers within Jannat (Paradise), beneath which rivers flow, abiding eternally. Superb is the reward of the righteous humankind.
Who have been patient and upon their Lord rely (59).
Those Muslims who were patient & upon Allah (SWT) they depend.
And how many a creature carries not its [own] provision. Allah provides for it and for you. And He is the Hearing, the Knowing (60).
And how many four-legged creatures are unable to carry their own provision. Allah (SWT) is the Provider for all creatures as well as for all humankind. And He (SWT) is the All Hearing & All Knowing.
If you asked them, “Who created heavens and earth and subjected the sun and the moon?” they would surely say, Allah, then how are they deluded (61)?
And if you Oh Muhammad (SAAS) asked the blasphemous disbelievers, “Who created the heavens & earth as well as subjecting the sun & moon for humankind? They would surly reply, “Allah (SWT), hence how would they be deceived & mislead”?
Allah extends provision for whom He wills of His servants and restricts for him. Indeed, Allah is, of all things, Knowing (62).
Allah (SWT) Enlarges & Prolongs provision for whom He (SWT) Wills for humankind restricting for whom He Wills. Allah (SWT) Is Aware & Knowledgeable of all Creation.
And if you asked them, “Who sends down rain from the sky and gives life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness?” they would surely say Allah. Say, “Praise to Allah “; but most of them do not reason (63).
And if you Oh Muhammad (SAAS) questioned humankind, “Who releases rain from the skies, Gifting thereby life to the Earth subsequent to its lifelessness?” They would say Allah (SWT). Reply to them, Paise Be To Allah (SWT). However, most of them are unable to reason.
And this worldly life is not but diversion and amusement. And indeed, the home of the Hereafter – that is the [eternal] life, if only they knew (64).
And this worldly life is not but diversion and amusement. And truly, the Home of the Hereafter is Eternal Life, if only humankind is aware.
And when they board a ship, they supplicate Allah, sincerely to Him in religion. But when He delivers them to the land, at once they associate others with Him (65).
And upon boarding a ship, the blasphemous disbelievers supplicate to Allah (SWT) [deceitfully & fraudulently]. However, upon reaching land they associate other deities & idols with Him (SWT).
So that they will deny what We have granted them, and they will enjoy themselves. But they are going to know (66).
Thus, the blasphemous disbelievers shall reject & refuse what We (SWT) have Delivered for them. However, they will come to know.
Have they not seen that We made [Makkah] a safe sanctuary, while people are being taken away all around them? Then in falsehood do they believe, and in the favor of Allah they disbelieve? (67).
Have the blasphemous disbelievers not observed that We (SWT) have Made Makkah (The Muslim Qiblah for Five Daily Salawat) a safe sanctuary, refuge & shelter? And at the same time, humankind is being “snatched” away all around them. Then in mendacity & slander do they believe & in the support & favoritism of Allah (SWT) they disbelieve?
And who is more unjust than one who invents a lie about Allah or denies the truth when it has come to him? Is there not in Hell a [sufficient] residence for disbelievers? (68)
And who (amongst the disbelievers) is more unfair & oppressive than one who fabricates & contrives a lie about Allah (SWT) or innovates lies about the truth upon arriving to him/her. Is there in the Hellfire not a Sufficient residence for the blasphemous disbelievers?
And those who strive for Us – We will surely guide them to Our ways. And indeed, Allah is with the doers of good (69).
And for those Muslim Believers who endeavor for Allah (SWT), We (SWT) shall Guide them to Our Ways. And Surely Allah (SWT) is in Support of the Righteous Muslims.
