Al Shawkani Exegesis

Surat Al Anbiya

Pages 1-112

21:1

[The time of] their account has approached for the people, while they are in heedlessness turning away (1).

The time for humankind has neared for their inattention turning their backs in their worldly lifetime.

 21:2

No mention comes to them anew from their Lord except that they listen to it while they are at play (2).

Whatever is revealed to them from the Glorious Qur’an by Allah (SWT) though the Prophet of Islam Prophet Muhammad (SAAS), the careless would not pay attention and keep on playing.

21:3

With their hearts distracted. And those who do wrong conceal their private conversation, [saying], “Is this [Prophet] except a human being like you? So would you approach magic while you are aware of it?”

Those disbelievers whose hearts & minds are distracted from the righteous path of Islam, and who in their private talk to each other, claim, “Prophet Muhammad (SAAS) is but a human like us”. Thus, would any of them come near him while being conscious of this reality.

21:4

The Prophet said, “My Lord knows whatever is said throughout heaven and earth, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing.”(4).

The Prophet of Islam, Muhammad (SAAS) Said” Allah (SWT) is the all-knowing, all hearing of his creation in the earth and in the heavens.

21:5

But they say, “[The revelation is but] a mixture of false dreams; rather, he has invented it; rather, he is a poet. So let him bring us a sign just as the previous [messengers] were sent [with miracles]” (5).

The blasphemous disbelievers describe the Glorious Qur’an revealed to Prophet Muhammad (SAAS) saying it is a mixture of fraudulent & false dreams. They describe Muhammad (SAAS) as poet; therefore, they contest him to come up with prophetic miracle signs such as that of Prophet Mousa & Prophet Saleh.

21:6

Not a [single] city which We destroyed believed before them, so will they believe?

This is a description from Allah (SWT) to caution previous existing villages & disbelievers whom We (SWT) eliminated because they disbelieve.

21:7

And We sent not before you, [O Muhammad], except men to whom We revealed [the message], so ask the people of the message if you do not know (7).

And We (SWT) did not send before you Oh Muhammad (SAAS) [the Final Prophet of Islam] but only men to whom We (SWT) revealed the Universal Message of Islam. Therefore, ask the people of the revealed messages in the Tawara before Islam revealed to Prophet Mousa & the Injeel revealed to Prophet Issa.

21:8

And We did not make the prophets forms not eating food, nor were they immortal [on earth] (8).

And We (SWT) did not create the Prophets different from all other humankind, nor was any Prophet not consuming everyday food, nor were any of them immortal in their worldly lifetime.

21:9

Then We fulfilled for them the promise, and We saved them and whom We willed and destroyed the transgressors (9).

Henceforth, We (SWT) achieved for them the undertaking and saved them and whom We (SWT) Willed, eliminated the moral law breakers.

21:10

We have certainly sent down to you a Book in which is your mention. Then will you not reason? (10).

We (SWT) have evidently revealed to you [Oh Muhammad (SAAS)] a book (The Glorious Qur’an) which contains all your honor as well as the description of your outstanding behavior as well that of Prophets before you, thus will you not logically reason?

  21:11

And how many a city which was unjust have We shattered and produced after it another people (11).

And how many unjust villages have We (SWT) obliterated and destroyed, only to create a replacement people instead.

21:12

And when its inhabitants perceived Our punishment, at once they fled from it (12).

Thus, upon its inhabitants became aware of the Punishment of Allah (SWT), they immediately escaped from it.

21:13

[Some angels said], “Do not flee but return to where you were given luxury and to your homes – perhaps you will be questioned “(13).

The angels told the running away people return back to what you owned & your homes lest you might be questioned.

21:14

They said, “O woe to us! Indeed, we were wrongdoers”(14).

The unjust humankind said verily we were unjust & wrongdoers.

21:15

And that declaration of theirs did not cease until We made them [as] a harvest [mowed down], extinguished [like a fire] (15).

And that supplication kept on until We (SWT) turned them into a simulated harvest “mowed down” only to be burned through fire.

21:16

And We did not create the heaven and earth and that between them in play (16).

And We (SWT) did not create the heavens and earth & whatever in between trivially or without purpose.

 21:17

Had We intended to take a diversion, We could have taken it from [what is] with Us – if [indeed] We were to do so.

If We (SWT) intended to take a deviation, We (SWT) would have obtained it from whatever We (SWT) had in Our possession if We (SWT) so desired.

21:18

Rather, We dash the truth upon falsehood, and it destroys it, and thereupon it departs. And for you is destruction from that which you describe (18).

Preferably, We (SWT) aim to strike violently falsehood with the truth destroying it, thereupon it recedes. And for the blasphemous disbelievers who describe Allah (SWT) physically & mentally infirm, they shall enter hellfire on Judgment Day.

21:19

To Him belongs whoever is in the heavens and the earth. And those near Him are not prevented by arrogance from His worship, nor do they tire (19).

To Allah (SWT) belongs the heavens & the earth and all creation in between. And those close to Him (SWT) have no arrogance in Worshiping Him (SWT) neither are they tired.

21:20

They exalt [Him] night and day [and] do not slacken (20).

The believers of Allah (SWT) supplicate to Him (SWT) night and day and are never tired of their supplication.

21:21

Or have men taken for themselves gods from the earth who resurrect [the dead]? (21).

Or have humankind set up for themselves earthly gods or deities  who bring back the dead to life? 21:22

Had there been within the heavens and earth gods besides Allah, they both would have been ruined. So exalted is Allah, Lord of the Throne, above what they describe (22).

Needless to mention that had there existed within the heavens & earth gods other than Allah (SWT), then all creation would be destructed. Thus, highly praised & exalted is AAllah (SWT), Lord of the Throne, superior over what the non-believers describe.

 21:23

He is not questioned about what He does, but they will be questioned (23).

Allah (SWT) will not be questioned about what He (SWT) does, however all humankind shall be questioned on Judgment Day.

 21:24

Or have they taken gods besides Him? Say, [O Muhammad], “Produce your proof. This [Qur’an] is the message for those with me and the message of those before me.” But most of them do not know the truth, so they are turning away (24).

Oh, Prophet of Islam, Muhammad (SAAS) tell the nonbelievers produce your proof. This Glorious Qur’an is the message for Muslims and for those believers before me. However, most of the blasphemous non-believers are unaware of the truth of Islam, thus they are turning away from reality.

21:25

And We sent not before you any messenger except that We revealed to him that, “There is no deity except Me, so worship Me” (25).

And We (SWT) did not send before you Oh Muhammad, any messenger revealing to them that “There is no deity or God except Me, Allah (SWT), therefore submit & worship Me. 21:26

And they say, “The Most Merciful has taken a son.” Exalted is He! Rather, they are [but] honored servants (26).

The blasphemous disbelievers say, The Most Merciful Allah (SWT) has taken offspring. Exalted is He (SWT). They are but honored servants to Him (SWT).

  21:27

They cannot precede Him in words, and they act by His command (27).

All Believers in Allah (SWT) & in Islam cannot & would not precede Al Mighty Allah in words, but rather all acting by His Command (SWT).

21:28

He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they cannot intercede except on behalf of one whom He approves. And they, from fear of Him, are apprehensive (28).

He, SWT is fully aware of what is in their hands and what is behind them, and will not mediate except on whom He (SWT) accepts & approves [those being the Angles who are fearful & anxious of facing Allah (SWT)].

21:29

And whoever of them should say, “Indeed, I am a god besides Him”- that one We would recompense with Hell. Thus, do We recompense the wrongdoers (29).

And whosoever of the angels says, Verily, I am a deity other than Allah (SWT), their reward shall be hellfire. Similarly, We (SWT) reward the unjust and unfair.

21:30

Have those who disbelieved not considered that the heavens and the earth were a joined entity, and We separated them and made from water every living thing? Then will they not believe? (30).

Have the blasphemous disbelievers not realized that the heavens and earth were an overall singular entity, & We (SWT) divided them into various entities and made from natural water all living things. Therefore, do they still disbelieve?

21:31

And We placed within the earth firmly set mountains, lest it should shift with them, and We made therein [mountain] passes [as] roads that they might be guided (31).

And We (SWT) created & built within the earth mountains having firm foundations so that humankind does not shift with them. Furthermore We (SWT) created mountain passes for them to be guided.

21:32

And We made the sky a protected ceiling, but they, from its signs, are turning away (32).

And We (SWT) created the sky as a ceiling protected from any event, despite that creation the blasphemous disbelievers are turning their backs in disbelief.

21:33

And it is He who created the night and the day and the sun and the moon; all [heavenly bodies] in an orbit are swimming (33).

And Allah (SWT) is the creator of the night & day and the sun & moon, each of which are swimming in their own orbit.

   21:34

And We did not grant to any man before you eternity [on earth]; so if you die – would they be eternal? (34).

And We (SWT) did not provide any humankind before you Oh Muhammad (SAAS) eternity on earth, thus if you die, would they remain eternal?

21:35

Every soul will taste death. And We test you with evil and with good as trial; and to Us you will be returned (35).

Every human soul shall taste human death. And We (SWT) will ascertain the endurance of humankind with evil & good as a test, henceforth all humankind shall return to the Al Mighty Allah (SWT).

21:36

And when those who disbelieve see you, [O Muhammad], they take you not except in ridicule, [saying], “Is this the one who insults your gods?” And they are, at mention the Most Merciful, disbelievers (36).

And when the blasphemous disbelievers see you Oh Muhammad (SAAS), they take you with ridicule & sarcasm, uttering,” Is he the one who insults your gods? And they are disbelieving once the Most Merciful Allah (SWT) is mentioned to them. 21:37

Man was created of haste. I will show you My signs, so do not impatiently urge Me (37).

Humankind was created with speed. Allah (SWT) said I will expose to humankind My Ayat, hence have patients with the exposure of My Ayat.

21:38

And they say, “When is this promise, if you should be truthful?”(38).

And the Blasphemous Disbelievers say, “When shall this undertaking be achieved if You are truthful?”.

21:39

If those who disbelieved but knew the time when they will not avert the Fire from their faces or from their backs and they will not be aided… (39).

If only those blasphemous disbelievers knew when they ward off the hellfire from their faces or from their backsides with no help or aid.

21:40

Rather, it will come to them unexpectedly and bewilder them, and they will not be able to repel it, nor will they be reprieved (40).

Instead, the fire will approach & utterly confuse them, without having the ability to repel or postpone it.

21:41

And already were messengers ridiculed before you, but those who mocked them were enveloped by what they used to ridicule (41).

And Oh Muhammad (SAAS) messengers before you were ridiculously treated, therefore those mockers were wrapped up with what they used to mock.

21:42

Say, “Who can protect you at night or by day from the Most Merciful?” But they are, from the remembrance of their Lord, turning away (42).

Say, Oh Muhammad (SAAS), “Who is able to protect you at night & day from the Merciful Allah (SWT)?” Nevertheless, they are from Allah (SWT) turning away their backs.

21:43

Or do they have gods to defend them other than Us? They are unable [even] to help themselves, nor can they be protected from Us (43).

Or do the blasphemous disbelievers have deities who can defend them other than Allah (SWT). They can’t even aid themselves, neither can they be protected from Al Mighty.

21:44

But [on the contrary], We have provided good things for these [disbelievers] and their fathers until life was prolonged for them. Then do they not see that We set upon the land, reducing it from its borders? So it is they who will overcome (44).

However, We (SWT) made available for those disbelievers & their fathers descent things, thus prolonging their lives. Hence, do the disbelievers not see that We (SWT) act to reduce the land borders from all directions? Therefore, are the blasphemous disbelievers the winners? 21:45

Say, “I only warn you by revelation.” But the deaf do not hear the call when they are warned (45).

Say Oh Muhammad (SAAS), “I only warn you of the Glorious Qur’an Revelation”. However, the deaf cannot hear the supplication when they are warned.

 21:46

And if [as much as] a whiff of the punishment of your Lord should touch them, they would surely say, “O woe to us! Indeed, we have been wrongdoers” (46). 21:47

And if a whiff of the of Allah (SWT)’s punishment should touch them, the blasphemous disbelievers would definitely say,” woe to us, verily we have been unjust & aberrant.

21:47

And We place the scales of justice for the Day of Resurrection, so no soul will be treated unjustly at all. And if there is [even] the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it forth. And sufficient are We as accountant (47).

And We (SWT), On Judgment & Resurrection Day shall place the Scales of Justice so that no human soul is unfairly or unjustly treated even if it is the weight of mustard seed, We (SWT) shall bring it forth & We (SWT) are the sufficient & ideal accountants.

21:48

And We had already given Moses and Aaron the criterion and a light and a reminder for the righteous (48).

And We (SWT) had previously revealed to Prophets Mousa & Haroun the Furqan & the Light as well as a reminder for the righteous believers.

21:49

Who fear their Lord unseen, while they are of the Hour apprehensive (49).

Those believers who fear Allah (SWT) invisibly & who are apprehensive from Judgment Day. 21:50

And this [Qur’an] is a blessed message which We have sent down. Then are you unacquainted with it? (50).

And this Glorious Qur’an is the final Message revealed to Humankind through the Prophet of Islam Muhammad (SAAS). Hence are you dissociating yourselves from it?

21:51

And We had certainly given Abraham his sound judgement before, and We were of him well-Knowing (51).

And We (SWT) surely granted Prophet Ibrahim previously his sound judgement & We (SWT) were well knowledgeable of his intentions.

21:52

When he said to his father and his people, “What are these statues to which you are devoted?”(52).

When Prophet Ibrahim asked his father & people, “What are these idols to which you are submitting to?

21:53

They said, “We found our fathers worshippers of them.”(53).

They all responded, “We found our fathers devoted to their worship”.

 21:54

He said, “You were certainly, you and your fathers, in manifest error” (54).

Prophet Ibrahim replied, “you & your fathers are in total aberrance”.

21:55

They said, “Have you come to us with truth, or are you of those who jest?”(55).

They said, “Are you telling us the truth or are you simply joking?”.

21:56

He said, “[No], rather, your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth who created them, and I, to that, am of those who testify (56).

Prophet Ibrahim said “Verily, Allah (SWT) is the true Creator & Lord of the heavens & earth and I am amongst those who testify.

21:57

And [I swear] by Allah, I will surely plan against your idols after you have turned and gone away”(57).

Prophet Ibrahim Swor by Allah (SWT),” I shall definitely destroy your idols after you have turned away”.

21:58

So, he made them into fragments, except for a large one among them, that they might return to it [and question] (58).

Thus, Prophet Ibrahim broke them into fragments, except the large Idol that they might turn to for questioning.

21:59

They said, “Who has done this to our gods? Indeed, he is of the wrongdoers” (59).

The Idol followers questioned “Who has perpetrated this to our idols, verily, they are aberrant & wrongdoers. 21:60

They said, “We heard a young man mention them who is called Abraham”(60).

They responded, “We heard of a young man mentioning them named Ibrahim”.

21:61

They said, “Then bring him before the eyes of the people that they may testify” (61).

The idol followers said,” So bring Prophet Ibrahim in front of the people’s eyes so that they may witness.

21:62

They said, “Have you done this to our gods, O Abraham?”

They said, “Have you Oh Ibrahim done this to our idols?

21:63

He said, “Rather, this – the largest of them – did it so ask them if they should be able to speak (63).

Prophet Ibrahim replied, pointing at the largest of the idols. Thus, ask them if they are able to speak.

21:64

So they returned to [blaming] themselves and said [to each other], “Indeed, you are the wrongdoers”(64).

They, therefore, reverted to blaming themselves, saying to each other, verily, we are the evildoers.

21:65

Then they reversed themselves, [saying], “You have already known that these do not speak!”

Henceforth, they reverted their decision, claiming that the idols could not speak.

21:66

He said, “Then do you worship instead of Allah that which does not benefit you at all or harm you? (66).

Prophet Ibrahim said to the blasphemous disbelievers who are the idol believers, you then worship instead of Allah (SWT), that neither benefit nor harm you?  21:67

Uff to you and to what you worship instead of Allah. Then will you not use reason?”(67).

Shame on you and to what you are worshipping other than Allah (SWT). Thus, will you not come to your reasoning?

 21:68

They said, “Burn him and support your gods – if you are to act (68).

The blasphemous idol believers responded,” Burn Prophet Ibrahim ‘Alive’ and be on the side of your idols “.

21:69

Allah said, “O fire, be coolness and safety upon Abraham”(69).

Allah (SWT) Commanded the Angles to be cool & safe upon Prophet Ibrahim. 21:70

And they intended for him harm, but We made them the greatest losers (70).

And the blasphemous disbelievers were aiming to harm Prophet Ibrahim, however We (SWT) made them the ultimate losers.

21:71

And We delivered him and Lot to the land which We had blessed for the worlds (71).

And We (SWT) saved Prophets Ibrahim & Lout to the land which We (SWT) had blessed for the worlds.

21:72

And We gave him Isaac and Jacob in addition, and all [of them] We made righteous (72).

And We (SWT) granted Prophet Ibrahim Offspring: two sons, Ishaq & Yaqoub who We (SWT) gave righteousness.

21:73

And We made them leaders guiding by Our command. And We inspired to them the doing of good deeds, establishment of prayer, and giving of zakah; and they were worshippers of Us (73).

And We (SWT) made them leaders being guided by Allah (SWT)’s Command, inspiring them to do righteous deeds, establishing Salat, giving out Alms (Zakat) & all were worshippers of Allah (SWT).

21:74

And to Prophet Lout We gave judgement and knowledge, and We saved him from the city that was committing wicked deeds. Indeed, they were evil people, defiantly disobedient (74).

And to Prophet Lout, We (SWT) granted judgment and knowledge, saving him from the village which was committing morally sinful deeds. Verily, they were damned people.

21:75

And We admitted him into Our mercy. Indeed, he was of the righteous (75).

And We (SWT) admitted Prophet Lout into Our Mercy. Verily, he was amongst the righteous. 21:76

And [mention] Noah, when he called [to Allah] before [that time], so We responded to him and saved him and his family from the great flood (76).

And Prophet Nooh who supplicated to Allah (SWT) previously, thus We (SWT) responded to him & his family by saving them from the ‘great flood’.

21:77

And We saved him from the people who denied Our signs. Indeed, they were a people of evil, so We drowned them, all together (77).

And We (SWT) saved Prophet Nooh from those people who denied The Ayat of Allah (SWT). Verily, they were evil people. Hence, We (SWT) drowned them all together.

21:78

And [mention] David and Solomon, when they judged concerning the field – when the sheep of a people overran it [at night], and We were witness to their judgement (78).

And Prophets Dawood & Sulaiman who judged & determined that the field when the people’s sheep overran it and We (SWT) were witness to their judgment.

21:79

And We gave understanding of the case to Solomon, and to each [of them] We gave judgement and knowledge. And We subjected the mountains to exalt [Us], along with David and [also] the birds. And We were doing [that] (79).

And We (SWT) made Prophet Sulaiman understand the circumstance & to each Prophets We (SWT) granted judgment & knowledge. And We (SWT) further made the mountains supplicate to Us (SWT) along with Prophet Dawood & the accompanying birds.

21:80

And We taught him the fashioning of coats of armor to protect you from your [enemy in] battle. So will you then be grateful? (80).

And We (SWT) taught Prophet Dawood the manufacturing of armory to protect him & his followers in battle. Thus, are they not thankful?

 21:81

And to Solomon [We subjected] the wind, blowing forcefully, proceeding by his command toward the land which We had blessed. And We are ever, of all things, Knowing (81).

And to Prophet Sulaiman, We (SWT) made the winds blow forcefully at his command in the direction of the land which We (SWT) had Blessed. And We (SWT) are knowledgeable of  all creation.

21:82

And of the devils were those who dived for him and did work other than that. And We were of them a guardian (82).

And regarding the Shayteen, were those who dived for Prophet Sulaiman as well as working for him other than diving, And We (SWT) were Protectors for them.

21:83

And [mention] Job, when he called to his Lord, “Indeed, adversity has touched me, and you are the Most Merciful of the merciful” (83).

And Prophet Ayyoub, when he supplicated to Allah (SWT), “Verily, misfortune & distress have touched me and You Allah (SWT) are the Most Merciful.

   21:84

So We responded to him and removed what afflicted him of adversity. And We gave him [back] his family and the like thereof with them as mercy from Us and a reminder for the worshippers [of Allah] (84).

Thus We (SWT) responded to Prophet Ayyoub & exposed what caused his adversity. And returned to him his family and relatives as Mercy of Allah (SWT) and as reminder for all believers in Him (SWT). 21:85

And [mention] Ishmael and Idrees and Dhul-Kifl; all were of the patient.

And Prophets Ismaeel, Idrees & Dhul Kifl, all of whom were amongst the tolerant & forbearing.

21:86

And We admitted them into Our mercy. Indeed, they were of the righteous (86).

And We (SWT) accepted all three Prophets into Allah (SWT) Mercy. Verily, they were amongst the righteous.

21:87

And [mention] the man of the fish, when he went off in anger and thought that We would not decree [anything] upon him. And he called out within the darknesses, “There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been from the wrongdoers” (87).

And Prophet Thal-Noon when he exploded with anger thinking We (SWT) would not declare anything upon him, calling out in darkness of the sea, of the night and of being trapped inside the Whale, Oh Allah (SWT), there is no Creator Except You. I have been amongst those aberrant.

21:88

So We responded to him and saved him from the distress. And thus do We save the believers (88).

Hence, We (SWT) responded to Prophet Thal-Noon saving him from his distress & anguish and thus We (SWT) also save all other Believers.

21:89

And [mention] Zechariah, when he called to his Lord, “My Lord, do not leave me alone [with no heir], while you are the best of inheritors” (89).

And Prophet Zakariyya when he supplicated to Allah (SWT), Oh Allah (SWT) I beg You not to leave me destitute (without an heir) while You (SWT) are the Ultimate of Inheritors.

21:90

So, We responded to him, and We gave to him John, and amended for him his wife. Indeed, they used to hasten to good deeds and supplicate Us in hope and fear, and they were to Us humbly submissive (90).

Therefore We (SWT) replied to his supplication granting him Yahya, improving & remedying his wife. Verily, both Prophet Zakariyyah & his wife were devoted to the submission of Allah (SWT), speeding to perform righteous deeds, supplicating to Allah (SWT) in aspiration & expectation and were to Him (SWT) humbly submissive.

21:91

And [mention] the one who guarded her chastity, so We blew into her [garment] through Our angel [Gabriel], and We made her and her son a sign for the worlds (91).

And mention the daughter of Prophet Imran who guarded her chastity. We (SWT) thus Blew into her garment through Our Chief of Angles Jibraeel, making her & her son (Issa) a sign for the worlds.

21:92

Indeed this, your religion, is one religion, and I am your Lord, so worship Me (92).

Verily. This nation of Islam is one nation & I (SWT) am your Creator & Sustainer. Hence worship Me (SWT).

21:93

And [yet] they divided their affair among themselves, [but] all to Us will return (93).

Nevertheless, they divided their affairs between themselves, and all humankind shall return to SWT on Judgment Day.

 21:94

So whoever does righteous deeds while he is a believer – no denial will there be for his effort, and indeed We, of it, are recorders (94).

Hence whosoever perpetrates righteous deeds during his believing lifetime there shall be no denial for his worldly endeavor, and We (SWT) will be recorders of his efforts.

21:95

And there is prohibition upon [the people of] a city which We have destroyed that they will [ever] return (95).

And regarding the people of a village which We (SWT) have destroyed, that they shall never return back to existence.

21:96

Until when [the dam of] Gog and Magog has been opened and they, from every elevation, descend (96).

Up to the time when the dam of the Gog & Magog tribes has been opened, descending from every elevation.

21:97

And [when] the true promise has approached; then suddenly the eyes of those who disbelieved will be staring [in horror, while they say], “O woe to us; we had been unmindful of this; rather, we were wrongdoers” (97).

And upon the True Promise of Allah (SWT) approached, suddenly the vision of the blasphemous disbelievers shall be staring in fear & terror, saying “sorrow & misfortune to us” we were negligent of this and indeed unjust. 21:98

Indeed, you [disbelievers] and what you worship other than Allah are the firewood of Hell. You will be coming to [enter] it (98).

Verily, you blasphemous disbelievers and the idols you worship besides Allah (SWT) are the firewood of hellfire & the abyss. You disbelievers will be entering it.

21:99

Had these [false deities] been [actual] gods, they would not have come to it, but all are eternal therein (99).

If these fake deities were true actual gods, they would not have ended up in hellfire. However, all are eternal therein.21:100

For them therein is heavy sighing, and they therein will not hear (100).

For them there is heavy exhaling, without the ability to hear.

21:101

Indeed, those for whom the best [reward] has preceded from Us – they are from it far removed (101).

Verily, those from whom the ultimate reward has anteceded from Allah (SWT), they are far distant from being exposed to the hellfire.

21:102

They will not hear its sound, while they are, in that which their souls desire, abiding eternally (102).

The abiding believers will not hear the sound of the hellfire and they are near to what their souls desire.

21:103

They will not be grieved by the greatest terror, and the angels will meet them, [saying], “This is your Day which you have been promised” (103).

The Believers in Allah (SWT) shall not be mournful by the greatest trepidation & the Angles meeting them saying “This is your Day which you were promised”.

21:104

The Day when We will fold the heaven like the folding of a [written] sheet for the records. As We began the first creation, We will repeat it. [That is] a promise binding upon Us. Indeed, We will do it (104).

This is a description by Allah (SWT) for Judgment Day. We (SWT) shall fold the heavens like the folding of written sheets of records. Allah (SWT) Promised to Repeat it & that is a Biding Promise by Allah (SWT).

21:105

And We have already written in the book [of Psalms] after the [previous] mention that the land [of Paradise] is inherited by My righteous servants (105).

And We (SWT) have already revealed in the Book of Al Zabour (Psalms) [the Book of Prophet Dawood] that Paradise shall be inherited by SWT’s righteous servants.

21:106

Indeed, in this [Qur’an] is notification for a worshipping people (106).

Verily, this Glorious Qur’an is a declaration for people who worship Allah (SWT).

21:107

And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds.

And Oh Muhammad (SAAS), [our last messenger], We (SWT) did not deliver you, but as a Mercy from Us to the worlds.

21:108

Say, “It is only revealed to me that your god is but one God; so will you be Muslims [in submission to Him]?”(108).

Say Oh Muhammad (SAAS) the revelation to me in the Glorious Qur’an, that Allah (SWT) is the only God, thus will all Muslims Submit to Him (SWT).

21:109

But if they turn away, then say, “I have announced to [all of] you equally. And I know not whether near or far is that which you are promised (109).

However, if they turn their backs, Say Oh Muhammad (SAAS), I have equally declared to all of you that I have no knowledge of that which you are promised.

21:110

Indeed, He knows what is declared of speech, and He knows what you conceal (110).

Verily, He (SWT) is fully aware of what is divulged in speech, and He (SWT) knows what you conceal.
