Al Shawkani Exegesis – Al ​​ Ma’idah Ayah​​ 

1 to Ayah 120

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَوْفُوا بِالْعُقُودِ​​ ۚ​​ أُحِلَّتْ لَكُم بَهِيمَةُ الْأَنْعَامِ إِلَّا مَا يُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ​​ غَيْرَ مُحِلِّي الصَّيْدِ وَأَنتُمْ حُرُمٌ​​ ۗ​​ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَحْكُمُ مَا يُرِيدُ​​ (1).

O you who have believed, fulfill [all] contracts. Lawful for you are the animals of grazing livestock except for that which is recited to you [in this Qur’an] – hunting not being permitted while you are in the state of ihram. Indeed, Allah ordains what He intends (1).

O you who believe accomplish and consummate your pledges, commitments and obligations [between you believers and each other And That With Allah [SWT]].​​ Permissible for you is the slaughter of livestock [camel, cattle, oxen and sheep] except for those livestock which are prohibited as described in the following Ayah 2 of this Surah in which prohibition is stipulated.

 

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تُحِلُّوا شَعَائِرَ اللَّهِ وَلَا الشَّهْرَ الْحَرَامَ وَلَا الْهَدْيَ وَلَا الْقَلَائِدَ وَلَا آمِّينَ الْبَيْتَ الْحَرَامَ يَبْتَغُونَ فَضْلًا مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ وَرِضْوَانًا​​ ۚ​​ وَإِذَا حَلَلْتُمْ فَاصْطَادُوا​​ ۚ​​ وَلَا يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شَنَآنُ قَوْمٍ أَن صَدُّوكُمْ عَنِ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ أَن تَعْتَدُوا​​ ۘ​​ وَتَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْبِرِّ وَالتَّقْوَىٰ​​ ۖ​​ وَلَا تَعَاوَنُوا​​ عَلَى الْإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ​​ ۚ​​ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ​​ ۖ​​ إِنَّ اللَّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ​​ (2).

O you who have believed, do not violate the Rites of​​ Allah or [the sanctity of] the sacred month or [neglect the marking of] the sacrificial animals and garlanding [them] or [violate the safety of] those coming to the Sacred House seeking bounty from their Lord and [His] approval. But when you come out of ihram, then [you may] hunt. And do not let the hatred of a people for having obstructed you from al-Masjid al-Haram lead you to transgress. And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is​​ severe in penalty (2).

O You Who Believe Do Not Make Permissible What Allah [SWT] Has Named As Rituals And Observances [That Is, All Rites Relating To Al Hajj Or Al Umrah And To Their Attendees Of Al Hujaj And Of Al Mu’tamireen Including Attending The Locations Of Safa And Marwah]. Another Partial Exegesis Of This Ayah Is Observing The Statutes and Sanctity of Allah [SWT]. Yet Another Partial Exegesis Of This Ayah Relates To The Sacred Four Months Of the Islamic Calendar, Namely: Rajab, Thul Qi’dah, Thul Hijjah and Muharram. In These Sacred Months Allah [SWT] Prohibits Combat, Hostilities, Warfare And Conflict. Also The Believers Should Not Make Permissible Presenting Livestock Gifts [As Explained in Ayah 1 Above; Called Al Hadyyi [In Arabic]] To The House​​ Of Allah [SWT] [Al Baytul Haram in Arabic] Nor Presenting The House With Livestock Wearing Necklaces. Also Muslim Believers ​​ Should Not Engage In Preventing And Prohibiting Al Hujaj And Al Mu’tamireen From Performing The Rituals of Al Hajj And Al Umrah Or​​ To Prevent Them From Living Or Trading In Its Vicinity Of The Sacred House Of Allah [SWT] Or Al Masjid Al Haram [In Arabic].

This Ayah Was Revealed Due To The Pagans, Infidels And Polytheist Visiting The House Of Allah [SWT] For The Hajj And Umrah Rituals.​​ However, This Ayah Was Repealed And Rescinded And Replaced By Ayah 28 In Surat Al Tawbah In Which Allah [SWT] Says:

O You Who Believe, Verily The Polytheists Are Unclean And Impure, Thus They Should Not Approach Al Masjid Al Haram Following This Final Year. And If You Fear Destitution And Depravation, Then Allah [SWT] Shall Enrich You From His Generosity If He So Wishes. Verily, Allah [SWT] is Knowing and Wise (Ayah 28) Surat Al Tawbah.

Some Scholars Say This Ayah 2 Is Actually​​ Secure, Precise And Hematic​​ [Muh’kamah in Arabic] For The Hujaj And Mu’tamreen Who Seek The Merit, Favor And Acceptance Of Allah [SWT]. And So If You Complete Your Rituals Of Hajj. Then You May Relieve Yourselves From The State Of Ihram And Commence Hunting Livestock.

And Do Not Let​​ Your Feelings Of Hatred Towards Those Who Have Prevented You From Reaching Al Masjid Al Haram Cause You To Be Hostile And Transgress Against Them. Allah [SWT] Commands You To Be Righteous And Pious And Not Be Sinful And Hostile And Be Conscience And Fearful Of Allah [SWT] For He [SWT] Is Severe In Punishment.

 

حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَيْتَةُ وَالدَّمُ وَلَحْمُ الْخِنزِيرِ وَمَا أُهِلَّ لِغَيْرِ اللَّهِ بِهِ وَالْمُنْخَنِقَةُ وَالْمَوْقُوذَةُ وَالْمُتَرَدِّيَةُ وَالنَّطِيحَةُ وَمَا أَكَلَ السَّبُعُ إِلَّا مَا ذَكَّيْتُمْ وَمَا ذُبِحَ عَلَى النُّصُبِ وَأَن تَسْتَقْسِمُوا بِالْأَزْلَامِ​​ ۚ​​ ذَٰلِكُمْ فِسْقٌ​​ ۗ​​ الْيَوْمَ يَئِسَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِن دِينِكُمْ فَلَا تَخْشَوْهُمْ وَاخْشَوْنِ​​ ۚ​​ الْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَأَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِي​​ وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ الْإِسْلَامَ​​ دِينًا​​ ۚ​​ فَمَنِ اضْطُرَّ فِي مَخْمَصَةٍ غَيْرَ مُتَجَانِفٍ لِّإِثْمٍ​​ ۙ​​ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ​​ (3).

Prohibited to you are dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah​​ , and [those animals] killed by strangling or by a violent blow or by a head-long fall or by the goring of horns, and those from which a wild animal has eaten, except what you [are able to] slaughter [before its death], and those which are sacrificed on stone altars, and [prohibited is] that you seek decision through divining arrows. That is grave disobedience. This day those who disbelieve have despaired of [defeating] your religion; so fear them not, but fear Me. This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion. But whoever is forced by severe hunger with no inclination to sin – then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful (3).

This Ayah Is Partially Similar To Ayah 173 From Surat Al Baqarah. ​​ The Exegesis States: “You Are Forbidden To Eat Dead Meat, Blood, Pig Meat And That [Meat] Which Is Not Devoted And Dedicated To Allah [SWT], And Those Animals Which Have Been Killed Through Strangulation, Or Through A Strong Strike [To The Head] Or Due To Head-On Fall, Or Due To Horn Goring Or Those Animals That Have Been Devoured By Wildlife Unless They Are Slaughtered Before Their Death, Or Those Animals Which Are Sacrificed On Stone Alters. Forbidden Also Is The Division Of Meat Through Raffling With Decision Arrows. That Is Known As Debauchery Which Is The Highest Levels Of Blasphemy.

It Is Today That Those Who Rejected Your Faith Have Totally Given Up On Your Religion Thus Do Not Fear Them But Fear Me [SWT] Instead. Today I Have Completed Your Religion For You And Perfected My Grace Upon You And Accepted Islam As Your [Universal] Religion. If Anyone Is Forced By Poverty Or Hunger To Eat Dead Meat Without Tendency Or Desire To Transgress Or Perpetrate Sin, Then Allah [SWT] Is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.

This Ayah Was Revealed At Mount Arafat On A Friday To The Prophet Of Islam Muhammad [SAAS] Where He Delivered The Farwell Speech To The Muslim Ummah Clarifying What The Faith Had Permitted And What It Had Prohibited.​​ 

 

يَسْأَلُونَكَ مَاذَا​​ أُحِلَّ لَهُمْ​​ ۖ​​ قُلْ أُحِلَّ لَكُمُ الطَّيِّبَاتُ​​ ۙ​​ وَمَا عَلَّمْتُم مِّنَ الْجَوَارِحِ مُكَلِّبِينَ تُعَلِّمُونَهُنَّ مِمَّا عَلَّمَكُمُ اللَّهُ​​ ۖ​​ فَكُلُوا مِمَّا أَمْسَكْنَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَاذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ​​ ۖ​​ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ​​ ۚ​​ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَرِيعُ الْحِسَابِ​​ (4).

They ask you, [O Muhammad], what has been made lawful for them. Say, “Lawful for you are [all] good foods and [game caught by] what you have trained of hunting animals which you train as Allah has taught you. So eat of what they​​ catch for you, and mention the name of Allah upon it, and fear Allah.” Indeed, Allah is swift in account (4).

They would ask you O Muhammad [SAAS] what is Permissible for their daily intake. Say, “Permissible are all good and pure foods”, [except that which is prohibited as expressed in the previous Ayah 3] which you game through what you have taught you trained hunting animals [eagles, falcons, panthers​​ and cheetahs] to catch in the manner taught to you by Allah [SWT]. Eat what these animals catch for you​​ and Pronounce The Name Of Allah [SWT] upon your intake, And Fear Allah [SWT] For Allah [SWT] Is Speedy In Taking Account [Of Your Actions].

 

الْيَوْمَ أُحِلَّ لَكُمُ الطَّيِّبَاتُ​​ ۖ​​ وَطَعَامُ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ حِلٌّ لَّكُمْوَطَعَامُكُمْ حِلٌّ​​ لَّهُمْ​​ ۖ​​ وَالْمُحْصَنَاتُ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ وَالْمُحْصَنَاتُ مِنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا​​ الْكِتَابَ​​ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ إِذَا آتَيْتُمُوهُنَّ أُجُورَهُنَّ مُحْصِنِينَ غَيْرَ مُسَافِحِينَ وَلَا مُتَّخِذِي أَخْدَانٍ​​ ۗ​​ وَمَن يَكْفُرْ بِالْإِيمَانِ فَقَدْ حَبِطَ عَمَلُهُ وَهُوَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ​​ (5).

This day [all] good foods have been made lawful, and the food of those who were given the Scripture is lawful for you and your food is lawful for them. And [lawful in marriage are] chaste women from among​​ the believers and chaste women from among those who were given the Scripture before you, when you have given them their due compensation, desiring chastity, not unlawful sexual intercourse or taking [secret] lovers. And whoever denies the faith – his work​​ has become worthless, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers (5).​​ 

Today you are permitted to eat all good and pure foods. And the food of the People Of The Book [Jews and Christians] is permissible for intake by Muslims and the reverse is true​​ for the People Of The Book. Also permitted​​ your marriage to chaste woman believers as well as chaste woman from the People Of The Book [before Islam] after giving them their due dowry and not seeking them for clandestine love or sex. And whoever rejects his faith then his actions and deeds are rendered fruitless and in the Hereafter he/she shall be amongst the losers.

 

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا قُمْتُمْ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ فَاغْسِلُوا وُجُوهَكُمْ وَأَيْدِيَكُمْ إِلَى الْمَرَافِقِ وَامْسَحُوا​​ بِرُءُوسِكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ إِلَى الْكَعْبَيْنِ​​ ۚ​​ وَإِن كُنتُمْ جُنُبًا فَاطَّهَّرُوا​​ ۚ​​ وَإِن كُنتُم مَّرْضَىٰ أَوْ عَلَىٰ سَفَرٍ أَوْ جَاءَ أَحَدٌ مِّنكُم مِّنَ الْغَائِطِ أَوْ لَامَسْتُمُ النِّسَاءَ فَلَمْ تَجِدُوا مَاءً فَتَيَمَّمُوا صَعِيدًا طَيِّبًا​​ فَامْسَحُوا بِوُجُوهِكُمْ وَأَيْدِيكُم مِّنْهُ​​ ۚ​​ مَا يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ لِيَجْعَلَ عَلَيْكُم مِّنْ حَرَجٍ وَلَٰكِن يُرِيدُ لِيُطَهِّرَكُمْ وَلِيُتِمَّ نِعْمَتَهُ عَلَيْكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ​​ (5).

O you who have believed, when you rise to [perform] prayer, wash your faces and your forearms to the elbows and wipe over your heads and wash your feet to the ankles. And if you are in a state of janabah, then purify yourselves. But if you are ill or on a journey or one of you comes from the place of relieving himself or you have contacted women and do not find water, then seek clean earth and wipe over your faces and hands with it. Allah does not intend to​​ make difficulty for you, but He intends to purify you and complete His favor upon you that you may be grateful (5).

This Ayah and its Exegesis is similar in essence to the Exegesis of Ayah 43 of Surat Al Nisa’ which states the following:

O you who believe do not enter into prayers when you are drunken and have a befogged mind until you know what you are uttering or in a state of body impurity [due to the ejaculation of semen; janabah in Arabic] except when travelling through a Masjid [in which case perform salat in passing] until you have washed and cleansed your whole body [when you rise to [perform] prayer,​​ wash your faces and your forearms to the elbows and wipe over your heads and wash your feet to the ankles].​​ In case you are ill or on a journey or expelling excrement [from the body] or you have touched women [with the intention of sexual intercourse] and​​ you could not find water [to wash up and cleanse for wudhu] then search for a patch of earth having clean soil and hit that place with your hands twice and wipe your face and both your hands and arms to the elbows. [This action is known as Tayamum practiced by the Prophet [SAAS]], Verily, Allah [SWT] Is Forever Pardoning, And Forgiving. Allah [SWT] Does Not Aim To Embarrass Believers Through Tayamum Using A Clean Patch Of Soil, But To Cleanse You From Sinful Actions And Complete His [SWT]’s Grace And Favors​​ Upon You So That You May Thank Him [SWT].

 

وَاذْكُرُوا نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَمِيثَاقَهُ الَّذِي وَاثَقَكُم بِهِ إِذْ قُلْتُمْ سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا​​ ۖ​​ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ​​ ۚ​​ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ​​ (7).

And remember the favor of Allah upon you and His covenant with which He bound you when you said, “We hear and we obey”; and fear Allah. Indeed, Allah is Knowing of that within the breasts (7).

 

 

And Call Into Remembrance the Grace of Allah [SWT] Upon You And His Covenant which He [SWT]​​ Ratified When You Said We, “We Have Listened And Obeyed” And Fear And Be Conscience Of Allah [SWT], Verily, Allah [SWT] Is Fully Aware Of Your Heart And Chest.

The Context Of This Ayah Comes Under The Exegesis Of Ayat 172 and 173 Of Surat Aali Imarn. As Well As Ayah 10 Of Surat Al Fatih When The Messenger Of Allah [SAAS] Was Given The Homage And Honour Of Bai’at Al Aqabah in Which The New Muslim Believers Gave Their Allegiance To The Islam and the Prophet of Islam [SAS].

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُونُوا قَوَّامِينَ لِلَّهِ شُهَدَاءَ بِالْقِسْطِ​​ ۖ​​ وَلَا يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شَنَآنُ قَوْمٍ عَلَىٰ أَلَّا تَعْدِلُوا​​ ۚ​​ اعْدِلُوا هُوَ أَقْرَبُ لِلتَّقْوَىٰ​​ ۖ​​ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ​​ ۚ​​ إِنَّ اللَّهَ خَبِيرٌ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ​​ (8).

O you who have believed, be​​ persistently standing firm for Allah , witnesses in justice, and do not let the hatred of a people prevent you from being just. Be just; that is nearer to righteousness. And fear Allah ; indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what you do (8).

The Exegesis Of This Ayah Has Already Been Explained Under Ayah 135 From Surat Al Nis’a.

O you who believe Stand Firm With Allah [SWT] As Witnesses To Fair Dealings And Do Not Let The Hatred Of Others To You Make You Sway From Being Just. Be Just For [this action] Is Closer​​ To Piety and Be Conscience And Fear Allah [SWT] For Allah [SWT] Is Expert And Proficient In What You Do.

 

وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ​​ ۙ​​ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌ وَأَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ​​ (9).​​ 

Allah has promised those who believe and do​​ righteous deeds [that] for them there is forgiveness and great reward (9).

وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَكَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا أُولَٰئِكَ أَصْحَابُ الْجَحِيمِ​​ (10).

But those who disbelieve and deny Our signs – those are the companions of Hellfire​​ (10).

The​​ Exegesis Of These Two Ayat [9 and 10] Are Interrelated And Interconnected. Allah [SWT] Has Promised The Believers Who Do Righteous Deeds Forgiveness And Great Rewards.

Conversely, For Those Who Are Blasphemous And Disbelieve In The Ayat Of Allah [SWT] Then​​ They Are The Partners Of The Hellfire.

 

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اذْكُرُوا نِعْمَتَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ هَمَّ قَوْمٌ أَن يَبْسُطُوا إِلَيْكُمْ أَيْدِيَهُمْ فَكَفَّ أَيْدِيَهُمْ عَنكُمْ​​ ۖ​​ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ​​ ۚ​​ وَعَلَى اللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ​​ (11).

O you who have believed, remember the favor of Allah upon you when a people determined to extend their hands [in aggression]​​ against you, but He withheld their hands from you; and fear Allah. And upon Allah let the believers rely (11).​​ 

O​​ you who believe Remember The Grace Of Allah [SWT] Upon You when a group of people were planning to stretch out their hands to you But Allah [SWT] Held Back Their Hands From You. And Be Conscience and Fear Allah [SWT] And Let Believers Put Their Trust In Allah [SWT].

According to the Narration of Ibn Abbas [RAA] this Ayah was Revealed When Banu Al Nadheer [the Jews of Medina] intended to role a large stone downhill where the Messenger [SAAS] was Sitting with his Companions. This intended Jewish Conspiracy was Revealed to the Prophet [SAAS] by Archangel Jibreel [AS] Who Upon This Warning, moved himself to safety along with his Companions.

 

وَلَقَدْ أَخَذَ اللَّهُ مِيثَاقَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ وَبَعَثْنَا مِنْهُمُ اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ نَقِيبًا​​ ۖ​​ وَقَالَ اللَّهُ إِنِّي​​ مَعَكُمْ​​ ۖ​​ لَئِنْ أَقَمْتُمُ الصَّلَاةَ وَآتَيْتُمُ الزَّكَاةَ وَآمَنتُم بِرُسُلِي وَعَزَّرْتُمُوهُمْ وَأَقْرَضْتُمُ اللَّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا لَّأُكَفِّرَنَّ عَنكُمْ سَيِّئَاتِكُمْ وَلَأُدْخِلَنَّكُمْ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ​​ ۚ​​ فَمَن كَفَرَ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ مِنكُمْ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ سَوَاءَ السَّبِيلِ

(12).

And Allah had already taken a covenant from the Children of Israel, and We delegated from among them twelve leaders. And Allah said, “I am with you. If you establish prayer and give zakah​​ and​​ believe in My messengers and support them and loan Allah a goodly loan, I will surely remove from you your misdeeds and admit you to gardens beneath which rivers flow. But whoever of you disbelieves after that has certainly strayed from the soundness of the way.” (12).

And Allah [SWT] Had Taken A Covenant From Banu Isra’eel [The Children Of Israel] And We [SWT] Appointed From Amongst Them Twelve Chieftains. And Allah [SWT] Said: “I Am with You, If You Establish Regular Salat And Give Out Zakat [Alms] And​​ Believe In My Messengers [AS] Honoring And Assisting Them And Presented Allah [SWT] With A Good Loan, I Shall Certainly Atone Your Bad Deeds And Enter You Into Jannat Under Which Rivers Flow. So Whoever Of You Later Becomes Blasphemous, Then He/She Has Gone Astray.

Upon The Migration Of The Messenger [SAAS] To Al Medina [From Makkah] He Used The Same Covenant With The Tribes Of Al Aws And Al Khazraj Appointing Twelve Chieftains And Using The Above Ayah’s Objectives.

 

فَبِمَا نَقْضِهِم مِّيثَاقَهُمْ لَعَنَّاهُمْ وَجَعَلْنَا قُلُوبَهُمْ قَاسِيَةً​​ ۖ​​ يُحَرِّفُونَ الْكَلِمَ عَن مَّوَاضِعِهِ​​ ۙ​​ وَنَسُوا حَظًّا مِّمَّا ذُكِّرُوا بِهِ​​ ۚ​​ وَلَا تَزَالُ تَطَّلِعُ عَلَىٰ خَائِنَةٍ مِّنْهُمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا مِّنْهُمْ​​ ۖ​​ فَاعْفُ عَنْهُمْ وَاصْفَحْ​​ ۚ​​ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِينَ​​ (13).

So for their breaking of the covenant We cursed them and made their hearts hard. They distort words from their [proper] usages and have forgotten a portion of that of which they were reminded. And you will still observe deceit among them, except a few of them. But pardon them and overlook [their misdeeds]. Indeed, Allah loves the doers of good (13).

But Because Of The Breach Of Their Covenant We [SWT] Cursed Them And Made Their Hearts Harsh, Tough and Cruel [And Far Away From The Mercy Of​​ Allah [SWT]]. They Change The Words From Their Rightful Places And/Or Interpret The Ayah Differently [As In Surat Al Ni’sa Ayah 36] And You [O Muhammad] Still Find Most Of Them In Deception Except For A Few. And So Forgive Them And Overlook Their Shortcomings For Allah [SWT] Verily Loves The Benefactors.​​ 

The Above Ayah Was Abolished And Annulled [Nusikhat in Arabic] By The Revelation Of Ayah 29 From Surat Al ​​ Tawbah Whereby Allah [SWT] Commanded The Prophet [SAAS] To Fight Those Who Did Not Believe In​​ Allah And The Last Day Denying What Allah [SWT] Has Forbidden And His Messenger [SAAS]​​  And Who Did Not Adopt The Religion of Truth [Islam] From Those People Of The Book [Who Were Given the Tora And Injeel]​​ And For Those Who Do Not Fight Get Them To Pay Taxation [Al Jizyh] With Willing Submissions.

 

وَمِنَ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا إِنَّا نَصَارَىٰ أَخَذْنَا مِيثَاقَهُمْ فَنَسُوا حَظًّا مِّمَّا ذُكِّرُوا بِهِ فَأَغْرَيْنَا بَيْنَهُمُ الْعَدَاوَةَ وَالْبَغْضَاءَ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ​​ ۚ​​ وَسَوْفَ يُنَبِّئُهُمُ اللَّهُ بِمَا كَانُوا يَصْنَعُونَ​​ (14).

And from those who say, “We are Christians” We took their covenant; but they forgot a portion of that of which they were reminded. So We caused among them animosity and hatred until the Day of Resurrection. And Allah is going to inform them about what they used to do (14).

From Those Too Who Call Themselves Christians We [SWT] Took Their Covenant But They Forgot A Good Share Of The Message Sent To Them. This Ayah [As In The Exegesis Of Ayah 158 Of Surat Al Nisa’]​​ Describes The Christian Factions Of Al Nasturiyya Christians, Al Yaqoobiyya Christians. Al Malkanyya Christians Who Went Against Each Other Blaspheming Each Other And Thus We [SWT] Estranged Them With Enmity And Hatred To The Day Of Judgement And Allah [SWT] Shall Inform Them With What They Had Fabricated [In Al Injeel].. ​​ 

 

يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ قَدْ جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولُنَا يُبَيِّنُ لَكُمْ كَثِيرًا مِّمَّا كُنتُمْ تُخْفُونَ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ وَيَعْفُو عَن كَثِيرٍ​​ ۚ​​ قَدْ جَاءَكُم مِّنَ اللَّهِ نُورٌ وَكِتَابٌ​​ مُّبِينٌ​​ (15).

​​ O People of the Scripture, there has come to you Our Messenger making clear to you much of what you used to conceal of the Scripture and overlooking much. There has come to you from Allah a light and a clear Book (15).

O People Of The Book​​ [Jews And Christians] Our Messenger [SAAS] Has Come To You To Show You A Lot Of What You Suppressed And Hid From The Ayat Of Al Tawra And Al Injeel Such The Stoning Ayah And The Saturday [Sabath] People Who Were Replicated As Monkeys. He [SAAS] Also Forgives And Pardons A Lot. Allah [SWT] Has Come With The Qur’an And Islam [To Show The Way Of Belief To The People Of The Book]. ​​ 

​​ يَهْدِي بِهِ اللَّهُ مَنِ اتَّبَعَ رِضْوَانَهُ سُبُلَ السَّلَامِ وَيُخْرِجُهُم مِّنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّورِ بِإِذْنِهِ وَيَهْدِيهِمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ (16).

By which Allah guides those who pursue His pleasure to the ways of peace and brings them out from darknesses into the light, by His permission, and guides them to a straight path (16).

Allah [SWT] Would Guide​​ Whoever Follows His [SWT]’s Contentment And Pleasure To The Avenues Of Peace And Tranquility, Bringing Them Out From Darkness To The Illumination Of Light With His [SWT]’s Authorization Guiding Them To A Correct And Straight Path.

 

لَّقَدْ كَفَرَ الَّذِينَ​​ قَالُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْمَسِيحُ ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ​​ ۚ​​ قُلْ فَمَن يَمْلِكُ مِنَ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا إِنْ أَرَادَ أَن يُهْلِكَ الْمَسِيحَ ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَأُمَّهُ وَمَن فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا​​ ۗ​​ وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا​​ ۚ​​ يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَاءُ​​ ۚ​​ وَاللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ(17).

They have certainly disbelieved who say that Allah is Christ, the son of Mary. Say, “Then who could prevent Allah at all if He had intended to destroy Christ, the son of Mary, or his mother or​​ everyone on the earth?” And to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them. He creates what He wills, and Allah is over all things competent (17).

They Have Blasphemed, Those [Al Yaqoobiyya Christians] Who Said That​​ Allah [SWT] Is Al Maseeh Ibn Maryam [AS]. Say O Muhammad: Who Then Has The Least Power Against Allah [SWT] If He [SWT] Wills To Perish Al Maseeh Ibn Maryam [AS] And His Mother And All Creation On Earth. To Allah [SWT] Belongs The Dominion Of The Heavens And Earth And All Things In Between Creating What He [SWT] Wishes And Allah [SWT] Is Capable Over All Things.

 

وَقَالَتِ الْيَهُودُ وَالنَّصَارَىٰ نَحْنُ أَبْنَاءُ اللَّهِ وَأَحِبَّاؤُهُ​​ ۚ​​ قُلْ فَلِمَ يُعَذِّبُكُم بِذُنُوبِكُم​​ ۖ​​ بَلْ أَنتُم بَشَرٌ مِّمَّنْ​​ خَلَقَ​​ ۚ​​ يَغْفِرُ​​ لِمَن يَشَاءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَاءُ​​ ۚ​​ وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا​​ ۖ​​ وَإِلَيْهِ الْمَصِيرُ (18).

But the Jews and the Christians say, “We are the children of Allah and His beloved.” Say, “Then why does He​​ punish you for your sins?” Rather, you are human beings from among those He has created. He forgives whom He wills, and He punishes whom He wills. And to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, and to Him is the [final] destination.

And The Jews And The Christians Said: “We Are The Children Of Allah [SWT] And His Loved Ones”.[The Jews Said: Uzair Is The Son Of Allah [SWT] And The Christians Said: Al Maseeh [AS] Is The Son Of Allah [SWT]] Say O Muhammad: “Why Then Does He [SWT] Torment You Because Of Your Sins, In Fact You Are Humans From Amongst Those Whom He Created”. He [SWT] Forgives Whom He [SWT] Wishes And Torments Whom He [SWT] Wishes And To Allah [SWT] Belongs The Dominion Of The Heavens And Earth And All​​ Things In Between And To Allah [SWT] Belongs Fate And Destiny.

 

يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ قَدْ جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولُنَا يُبَيِّنُ لَكُمْ عَلَىٰ فَتْرَةٍ مِّنَ الرُّسُلِ أَن تَقُولُوا مَا جَاءَنَا مِن بَشِيرٍ وَلَا نَذِيرٍ​​ ۖ​​ فَقَدْ جَاءَكُم بَشِيرٌ وَنَذِيرٌ​​ ۗ​​ وَاللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ(19).

O People of the Scripture, there has come to you Our Messenger to make clear to you [the religion] after a period [of suspension] of​​ messengers, lest you say, “There came not to us any bringer of good tidings or a warner.” But there has come to you a bringer of good tidings and a warner. And Allah is over all things competent (19).

O People Of The Book [Al Taura And Al Injeel] There Has Arrived Our Messenger [Muhammad [SAAS]] To Articulate And Elucidate To You After A​​ Pause In Messengers [AS] [569 Years Between Issa [AS] And Muhammad [SAAS]] That You Say: “ No Harbinger Or Omen Came To Us But In Fact A Harbinger Or Omen Came To You And Allah [SWT] Is Capable Over All Things.

 

وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوْمِهِ يَا قَوْمِ​​ اذْكُرُوا نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ جَعَلَ فِيكُمْ أَنبِيَاءَ وَجَعَلَكُم مُّلُوكًا وَآتَاكُم مَّا لَمْ يُؤْتِ أَحَدًا مِّنَ الْعَالَمِينَ​​ (20).

And [mention, O Muhammad], when Moses said to his people, “O my people, remember the favor of Allah upon​​ you when He appointed among you prophets and made you possessors and gave you that which He had not given anyone among the worlds (20).

 

And So Mousa [AS] Said To His People [The Jews]: “Remember The Grace Of Allah Upon You Who Has Made Amongst You Prophets [AS] And Made You Kings And Gave You What He [SWT] Has Given No Other People In These Worlds.​​ 

 

The Story From Al Sunnah Is That Abdullah Bin Amr Bin Al Ass [RAA] Who Was Asked By A Migrant: “Are We Not Amongst The Poor Migrants? The Reply From Amr [RAA] Was:” Do You Have A Wife To Resort To? He Said Yes”. ​​ Amr [RAA] Went On To Ask,” Have You A Home To Live In? He Replied Yes”. Amr [RAA] Replied,. Then You Are Rich. Finally, Amr [RAA] Asked,” Do You Have A Maid? Replying He Said, Yes, Amr [RAA] Replied,.​​ Then You Are A King”.

 

 

يَا قَوْمِ ادْخُلُوا الْأَرْضَ الْمُقَدَّسَةَ الَّتِي كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ وَلَا تَرْتَدُّوا عَلَىٰ أَدْبَارِكُمْ فَتَنقَلِبُوا خَاسِرِينَ​​ (21).

O my people, enter the Holy Land which Allah has assigned to you and do not turn back​​ [from fighting in Allah’s cause] and [thus] become losers.”(21).

O My People Enter The Holy Land [Palestine] That Allah [SWT] Has Written For You And Do Not Turn Back Ignominiously From Fighting Al Jabbareen [The Giants] For Then You Shall Be Thrown Into​​ Your Own Ruin.

 

قَالُوا يَا مُوسَىٰ إِنَّ فِيهَا قَوْمًا جَبَّارِينَ وَإِنَّا لَن نَّدْخُلَهَا حَتَّىٰ يَخْرُجُوا مِنْهَا فَإِن يَخْرُجُوا مِنْهَا فَإِنَّا دَاخِلُونَ​​ (22).​​ 

They said, “O Moses, indeed within it is a people of tyrannical strength, and indeed, we will never enter it until they leave it; but if they leave it, then we will enter”(22).

 

The Children Of Israel Said: “O Mousa [AS]”: There Are In This Land Al Jabbareen [The Giants] And Thus We Shall Not Enter It Until They Leave. So If They Leave​​ Then We Shall Enter.

 

قَالَ رَجُلَانِ مِنَ الَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ أَنْعَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمَا ادْخُلُوا عَلَيْهِمُ الْبَابَ فَإِذَا دَخَلْتُمُوهُ فَإِنَّكُمْ غَالِبُونَ​​ ۚ​​ وَعَلَى اللَّهِ فَتَوَكَّلُوا إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ​​ (23).

Said two men from those​​ who feared [to disobey] upon whom Allah had bestowed favor, “Enter upon them through the gate, for when you have entered it, you will be predominant. And upon Allah rely, if you should be believers”(23).

Two Of The Chieftains [Named Yousha And Kalib] Who Feared Allah [SWT] And Who Were Bestowed With His Grace [SWT] Said: “Enter Through The Gate [Of Al Jabbareen] To Meet Them And So If You Enter You Shall Be Amongst The Winners And Upon Allah [SWT] Depend And Put Your Trust, If You Are [True] Believers.

 

قَالُوا يَا مُوسَىٰ إِنَّا لَن نَّدْخُلَهَا أَبَدًا مَّا دَامُوا فِيهَا​​ ۖ​​ فَاذْهَبْ أَنتَ وَرَبُّكَ فَقَاتِلَا إِنَّا هَاهُنَا قَاعِدُونَ​​ (24).

They said, “O Moses, indeed we will not enter it, ever, as long as they are within it; so go, you and your Lord,​​ and fight. Indeed, we are remaining right here”(24).

They [The Children Of Israel] Told Mousa [AS]: “We Shall Never Enter [The Land Of Al Jabbareen] As Long As They Exist There And So Set Out With Your Lord For Combat And We Shall Stay Where We Are”. This​​ Statement By The Jews Is Tantamount To Total Blasphemy Against Allah [SWT].

 

قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي لَا أَمْلِكُ إِلَّا نَفْسِي وَأَخِي​​ ۖ​​ فَافْرُقْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ الْقَوْمِ الْفَاسِقِينَ​​ (25).

[Moses] said, “My Lord, indeed I do not possess except myself​​ and my brother, so part us from the defiantly disobedient people.”​​ (25).

Mousa [AS] Affirmed And Proclaimed To Allah [SWT]: “O My Lord I Have But Only Myself And My Brother, Thus Separate Between Us And The​​ Debaucher People. Therefore, Differentiate Between Us And Them And Pass Your Judgement On Them.

 

قَالَ فَإِنَّهَا مُحَرَّمَةٌ عَلَيْهِمْ​​ ۛ​​ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً​​ ۛ​​ يَتِيهُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ​​ ۚ​​ فَلَا تَأْسَ عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْفَاسِقِينَ​​ (26).

Allah said, “Then indeed, it is forbidden to them for forty years [in​​ which] they will wander throughout the land. So do not grieve over the defiantly disobedient people.”​​ (26).​​ 

Allah [SWT] Declared That These Debaucher People Shall Aimlessly Wander In The Land Of Saini And Shall Be Prohibited From Leaving For Forty Years​​ [Because They Refused To Combat ​​ Al Jabbareen]. Thus Do Not Distress And Anguish For Them. According To Abdullah Ibn Abbas [RAA], Along With These People Were Mousa [AS] And His Brother Haroon [AS] Who Both Died In The Saini Peninsula Upon Reaching The Age​​ Of 40. And So When The 40 Years Had Passed, Joshua The Son Of Nuon [AS] Took Over The Leadership Of The Jews Who Were Freed From The Saini And Became United.

 

وَاتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ ابْنَيْ آدَمَ بِالْحَقِّ إِذْ قَرَّبَا قُرْبَانًا فَتُقُبِّلَ مِنْ أَحَدِهِمَا وَلَمْ يُتَقَبَّلْ مِنَ الْآخَرِ قَالَ لَأَقْتُلَنَّكَ​​ ۖ​​ قَالَ إِنَّمَا يَتَقَبَّلُ اللَّهُ مِنَ الْمُتَّقِينَ​​ (27).

And recite to them the story of Adam’s two sons, in truth, when they both offered a sacrifice [to Allah], and it was accepted from​​ one of them but was not accepted from the other. Said [the latter], “I will surely kill you.” Said [the former], “Indeed, Allah only accepts from the righteous [who fear Him] (27).

Narrate And Recapitulate [To The Jews] The Tidings Of The Two Sons Of Aadam [AS] [Habeel And Qabeel] To Present In The Right Of Truth An Immolation Which Was Received By Allah [SWT] From One But Denied From The Other. And So The Denied One [Qabeel] Threatened His Brother [Habeel] By Killing Him. While Habeel’s Immolation Allah [SWT] Accepted, He Said:” Allah [SWT] Only Accepts From The Fearful And Conscience” [Of Him [SWT]].

 

لَئِن بَسَطتَ إِلَيَّ يَدَكَ لِتَقْتُلَنِي مَا أَنَا بِبَاسِطٍ يَدِيَ إِلَيْكَ لِأَقْتُلَكَ​​ ۖ​​ إِنِّي أَخَافُ اللَّهَ رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ​​ (28)

If you should​​ raise your hand against me to kill me – I shall not raise my hand against you to kill you. Indeed, I fear Allah , Lord of the worlds (28).

إِنِّي أُرِيدُ أَن تَبُوءَ بِإِثْمِي وَإِثْمِكَ فَتَكُونَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّارِ​​ ۚ​​ وَذَٰلِكَ جَزَاءُ الظَّالِمِينَ​​ (29).

Indeed I want you to obtain [thereby] my sin and your sin so you will be among the companions of the Fire. And that is the​​ recompense of wrongdoers.” (29).

فَطَوَّعَتْ لَهُ نَفْسُهُ قَتْلَ أَخِيهِ فَقَتَلَهُ فَأَصْبَحَ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ​​ (30).

And his​​ soul permitted to him the murder of his brother, so he killed him and became among the losers (30).​​ 

The Exegesis of The Previous Three Ayat [28, 29 & 30] Are Identical To Their Above Translations. With Qabeel Being The Murderer And Habeel Being The Murdered.

 

فَبَعَثَ اللَّهُ غُرَابًا يَبْحَثُ فِي الْأَرْضِ لِيُرِيَهُ كَيْفَ يُوَارِي سَوْءَةَ أَخِيهِ​​ ۚ​​ قَالَ يَا وَيْلَتَا أَعَجَزْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِثْلَ هَٰذَا الْغُرَابِ فَأُوَارِيَ سَوْءَةَ أَخِي​​ ۖ​​ فَأَصْبَحَ مِنَ النَّادِمِينَ​​ (31).

Then Allah sent a​​ crow searching in the ground to show him how to hide the disgrace of his brother. He said, “O woe to me! Have I failed to be like this crow and hide the body of my brother?” And he became of the regretful (31).

And Thus Allah [SWT] Dispatched Two Crow Siblings Who Fought Each Other To Death. And So The Surviving Crow Declared His Shame And Sadness For Murdering His Sibling Crow. It Thus Started Uprooting The Dust With Its Beak And Feet To Show [The Murderous Brother Qabeel] How To Bury The Corps Of His [Murdered] Brother Habeel [This Act Of Killing Was The First In Human History]. He Then Said:” O Woe To Me, Was I Unable To Emulate This Crow In Burying My Brother’s [Habeel’s] Corps”. And Therefore He Became Amongst The Contrite And Penitent.​​ 

According To Abdullah Ibn Mas’ood [RAA] Narrating A Hadeeth From The Messenger Muhammad [SAAS] Who Said:“No Soul Should Be Killed Unjustly By The Son Of Aadam [AS] Unless He Has A Pledge And Guarantee Of Its Blood Because He [The Son Of Aadam] Was The First To Enact The​​ Killing.​​ 

مِنْ أَجْلِ ذَٰلِكَ كَتَبْنَا عَلَىٰ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ أَنَّهُ مَن قَتَلَ نَفْسًا بِغَيْرِ نَفْسٍ أَوْ فَسَادٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَكَأَنَّمَا قَتَلَ النَّاسَ جَمِيعًا وَمَنْ أَحْيَاهَا فَكَأَنَّمَا أَحْيَا النَّاسَ جَمِيعًا​​ ۚ​​ وَلَقَدْ جَاءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُنَا بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ ثُمَّ إِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنْهُم بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ فِي الْأَرْضِ لَمُسْرِفُونَ​​ (32).

Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land – it is as if he​​ had slain mankind entirely. And whoever saves one – it is as if he had saved mankind entirely. And our messengers had certainly come to them with clear proofs. Then indeed many of them, [even] after that, throughout the land, were transgressors (32).

And​​ So Due To This Act Of Qabeel Killing His Brother Habeel, We [SWT] Have Written [Ordained] Upon The Children Of Israel That Whoever Kills A Soul In Return For Another [For Reprisal] Or For Spreading Mischief And Corruption In The Land, Then It Would Be As If He Killed All Humankind. [Conversely] Whoever Saved The Life Of A Human Soul, It Would Be As If He Saved All Of Humanity. And Although We [SWT] Sent Them Evidence And Signs Through Our Messengers, They Nonetheless Most Of Them Afterwards Committed Excesses In The Land.

According To Imam Mujahid [From The Followers Of The Sahabah, Al Tabi’een In Arabic]:” Whoever Murders A Believing Soul Without A Just Cause, Reason And With Premeditated Intent Shall Enter The Hell Fire In Recompense Of His Action And Allah [SWT] Shall Curse Him And Prepare Great Torment For Him On Judgement Day. Conversely, Whoever Saved The Life Of A Human Soul [From Drowning, Or From Fire, Or From Destruction And Collapse And So On, It Would Be As If He Had Saved All Of Humanity].

 

إِنَّمَا جَزَاءُ الَّذِينَ يُحَارِبُونَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَيَسْعَوْنَ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَسَادًا أَن يُقَتَّلُوا أَوْ يُصَلَّبُوا أَوْ تُقَطَّعَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَأَرْجُلُهُم مِّنْ خِلَافٍ أَوْ يُنفَوْا مِنَ الْأَرْضِ​​ ۚ​​ ذَٰلِكَ لَهُمْ خِزْيٌ فِي الدُّنْيَا​​ ۖ​​ وَلَهُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ​​ (33).

Indeed, the penalty for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and strive upon earth [to cause] corruption is none but that they be killed or crucified or that their hands and feet be cut off from opposite sides or that they be exiled from the land. That is for them a disgrace in this world; and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment (33).

However, Those Who Wage War Against Allah [SWT] And His Messenger [SAAS] Seeking Trouble And Corruption​​ On The Land Shall Be Slain Or Crucified Or Have Their Limbs Amputated From Opposite Sides Or Be Exiled From The Land [Of The Prophet [SAAS]]. That Shall Be Their Disgrace In This Worldly Life And They Shall Endure Great Torment In The Hereafter.​​ 

This Ayah​​ Was Revealed To The Arneyeen Who Arrived At Al Medina With A Sickness. And So The Messenger [SAAS] Permitted Them To Drink From The Milk And Urine Of His Heard Of Camels. Once They Were Cured And Regained Their Health They Killed The Camel Sheppard Of The​​ Prophet [SAAS] And Robbed The Camel Herds And Drove Them Out Of Al Medina.

 

إِلَّا الَّذِينَ تَابُوا مِن قَبْلِ أَن تَقْدِرُوا عَلَيْهِمْ​​ ۖ​​ فَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ​​ (34).

Except for those who return [repenting] before you apprehend them.​​ And know that Allah is Forgiving and Merciful (34).

Exempt From The Punishment And Retribution Of The Previous Ayah [33] Those Who Have Repented Before They Have Been Captured And Comprehend That Allah [SWT] Is All Forgiving And Merciful. Some Scholars Like Imam Al Shafi’ [From Al Tabi’een] Are Of The Opinion That Repenting Does Not Exempt Perpetrators From The Criminality, Wrongdoing And Misdeeds Described In Ayah [33].

 

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَابْتَغُوا إِلَيْهِ الْوَسِيلَةَ وَجَاهِدُوا فِي سَبِيلِهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ​​ (35).

O you who have believed, fear Allah and seek the means [of nearness] to Him and strive in His cause that you may succeed (35).

Oh You Who Believe Be Conscience And Fearful Of Allah [SWT] And Seek To​​ Approach And Be Close To Him [SWT] And Strive In His [Righteous] Path So That You May Prosper And Be Successful.

 

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَوْ أَنَّ لَهُم مَّا فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا وَمِثْلَهُ مَعَهُ لِيَفْتَدُوا بِهِ مِنْ عَذَابِ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ مَا​​ تُقُبِّلَ مِنْهُمْ​​ ۖ​​ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ​​ (36).

Indeed, those who disbelieve – if they should have all that is in the earth and the like of it with it by which to ransom themselves from the punishment of the Day of Resurrection, it will not be​​ accepted from them, and for them is a painful punishment (36).

Verily, Those Who Are Blasphemous [And Have Rejected Islam As A Religion] If They Were To Own Everything On Earth And Twice As Much To Give As Ransom For The Torment [Awaiting Them], It Shall Not Be Accepted From Them And They Shall Endure Painful Torment [In The Hereafter].

 

يُرِيدُونَ أَن يَخْرُجُوا مِنَ النَّارِ وَمَا هُم بِخَارِجِينَ مِنْهَا​​ ۖ​​ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُّقِيمٌ​​ (37).​​ ​​ ​​ 

They will wish to get out of the Fire, but never are they to​​ emerge therefrom, and for them is an enduring punishment (37).

Those Described In The Previous Ayah [36] Seek To Exit From The [Hereafter Fire] However They Shall Not Depart That Penalty And They Shall Endure Painful Torment [In The Hereafter].

 

وَالسَّارِقُ وَالسَّارِقَةُ فَاقْطَعُوا أَيْدِيَهُمَا جَزَاءً بِمَا كَسَبَا نَكَالًا مِّنَ اللَّهِ​​ ۗ​​ وَاللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ​​ (38).

[As for] the thief, the male and the female, amputate their hands in recompense for what they committed as a deterrent [punishment] from Allah. And Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise (38).

And The Man Thief And The Woman Thief [Who Have Had Their Actions Concealed But Then Witnessed], Then Proceed To Cut Off Their Right Hands From The Wrist. This Being A Punishment From Allah [SWT] For​​ Their Crime. And Allah [SWT] Is Mighty And Wise.

 

فَمَن تَابَ مِن بَعْدِ ظُلْمِهِ وَأَصْلَحَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ يَتُوبُ عَلَيْهِ​​ ۗ​​ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ​​ (39).

But whoever repents after his wrongdoing and reforms, indeed, Allah will turn to him in​​ forgiveness. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful (39).

However, If The Thief Who Had His Right Hand Amputated Repents To Allah [SWT] For His/Her Transgression And Reforms, Then Allah [SWT] Shall Forgive Him. Verily, Allah [SWT] Is Forgiving And Merciful.

According To The Messenger [SAAS] Who Said To A Thief Who Had His Right Hand Cut Off: “Repent To Allah [SWT], The Prophet [SAAS] Declared A Short While Later That Allah [SWT] Has Accepted His Repentance”.

 

أَلَمْ تَعْلَمْ أَنَّ اللَّهَ لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ يُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَاءُ وَيَغْفِرُ لِمَن يَشَاءُ​​ ۗ​​ وَاللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ(40).

Do you not know that to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth? He punishes whom He wills and forgives whom He wills, and​​ Allah is over all things competent (40).

Are You ( O Muhammad) Not Aware That To Allah [SWT] Belongs The Dominions Of The Heavens And Earth, Tormenting Whom He Pleases And Forgiving Whom He Pleases And Allah [SWT] Is Capable Over All Things.

Al Shawkani Exegesis – Al ​​ Ma’idah Ayah​​ 

41 to Ayah 120

يَا أَيُّهَا الرَّسُولُ لَا يَحْزُنكَ الَّذِينَ يُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْكُفْرِ مِنَ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا آمَنَّا بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَلَمْ تُؤْمِن قُلُوبُهُمْ​​ ۛ​​ وَمِنَ الَّذِينَ هَادُوا​​ ۛ​​ سَمَّاعُونَ لِلْكَذِبِ​​ سَمَّاعُونَ لِقَوْمٍ آخَرِينَ لَمْ​​ يَأْتُوكَ​​ ۖ​​ يُحَرِّفُونَ الْكَلِمَ مِن بَعْدِ مَوَاضِعِهِ​​ ۖ​​ يَقُولُونَ إِنْ أُوتِيتُمْ هَٰذَا فَخُذُوهُ وَإِن لَّمْ تُؤْتَوْهُ فَاحْذَرُوا​​ ۚ​​ وَمَن يُرِدِ اللَّهُ فِتْنَتَهُ فَلَن تَمْلِكَ لَهُ مِنَ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا​​ ۚ​​ أُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ لَمْ يُرِدِ اللَّهُ أَن يُطَهِّرَ قُلُوبَهُمْ​​ ۚ​​ لَهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا خِزْيٌ​​ ۖ​​ وَلَهُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ​​ (41).

O Messenger, let them not grieve you who hasten into disbelief of those who say, “We believe” with their mouths, but their hearts believe not, and from among the Jews. [They are] avid listeners to falsehood, listening to another people who have not come to you. They distort words beyond their [proper] usages, saying “If you are given this, take it; but if you are not given it, then beware.” But he for whom Allah intends fitnah – never will you possess [power to do] for him a thing against Allah. Those are the ones for whom Allah does not intend to purify their hearts. For them in this world is disgrace, and for them in​​ the Hereafter is a great punishment (41).

O Messenger [Of Allah [SWT]] Do Not Be Saddened Or Grieved By Those [Jews Of Al Medina] Who Race Each Other Into Blasphemy Or Whether Be It Amongst Those Who Say: “We Believe”, With Their Lips But Whose Hearts Have​​ Not Believed [Being Hypocrites] Or Amongst The Jews Who Listen To Lies From Other [Jewish] Folk Who Have Not Even Met You [O Muhammad [SAAS]]. Those Folk Whom You [O Muhammad [SAAS]] Have Not Met, Forge Words From Their Correct Places [Forging The Verses​​ Of The Tawra]. They Say If You Receive This Forged Wording [Of The Tawra] From Muhammad [SAAS] Then Accept It And Act Upon It. If On The Other Hand, He Generates And Exhibits Any Other Text Or​​ Document, Then Beware Of Believing And Acting Upon It. And Whosoever Allah [SWT] Wishes Their Sedition, Then You Muhammad [SAAS] Have No Energy, Potential Or Strength Over What Allah [SWT] Has Authority. Those Are The Ones That Allah [SWT] Does Not Want To Purify Their Hearts and For Them Shall Be Great Torment In The​​ Hereafter.

This Ayah Was Revealed After A Jewish Man And Woman Fornicated Thus Committing Adultery. The Jews At The Time Falsified The Judgement And Ruling Of Adultery Of Stoning Revealed In The Tawra To A Lighter Ruling And Sentencing. And So The Prophet​​ [SAAS] Received Them And Ordered The Adultery Couple To Be Stoned.​​ 

​​ 

سَمَّاعُونَ لِلْكَذِبِ أَكَّالُونَ لِلسُّحْتِ​​ ۚ​​ فَإِن جَاءُوكَ فَاحْكُم بَيْنَهُمْ أَوْ أَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ​​ ۖ​​ وَإِن تُعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ فَلَن يَضُرُّوكَ شَيْئًا​​ ۖ​​ وَإِنْ حَكَمْتَ فَاحْكُم بَيْنَهُم بِالْقِسْطِ​​ ۚ​​ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُقْسِطِينَ ​​ (42).

[They are] avid listeners to falsehood, devourers of [what is] unlawful. So if they come to you, [O Muhammad], judge between them or turn away from them. And if you turn away from them – never will they harm you at all. And if you judge, judge between them with justice. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly (42).

The Jews [As They Are Known To The Messenger Of Allah [SAAS]] Are Persistent Listeners To Lies And​​ Eaters Of Prohibited [Haraam] Wealth. And​​ So If They Approach You [O Muhammad [SAAS]] For A Ruling, Then Either Rule For Them Or Decline Their Request And Turn Your Back And If You Turn Your Back To Them Then They Shall Not Be Unable To Hurt Or Harm You Whatsoever. And If You [O Muhammad [SAAS] Provide Them With A Ruling, Then Let That Ruling Be Fair And Just. Verily Allah [SWT] Loves The Fair And Just From His Worshipers [SWT].

 

وَكَيْفَ يُحَكِّمُونَكَ وَعِندَهُمُ التَّوْرَاةُ فِيهَا حُكْمُ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ يَتَوَلَّوْنَ مِن بَعْدِ​​ ذَٰلِكَ​​ ۚ​​ وَمَا أُولَٰئِكَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ​​ (43).

But how is it that they come to you for judgement while they have the Torah, in which is the judgement of Allah? Then they turn away, [even] after that; but those are not [in fact] believers (43).

So Why Is​​ It That [The Jews] Ask You O Muhammad [SAAS] For A Ruling To Give Your Judgement And They Have With Them The Tawra Which Contains Allah [SWT] Commandments Then They Turn Away [From You] Seeking In The First Instant Your Approval To Accept Their Forging Of​​ The Tawra Rulings To Meet Their Whims And Fancy. And So Those [Jewish Fabricators] Are Not Believers.

 

إِنَّا أَنزَلْنَا التَّوْرَاةَ فِيهَا هُدًى وَنُورٌ​​ ۚ​​ يَحْكُمُ بِهَا النَّبِيُّونَ الَّذِينَ أَسْلَمُوا لِلَّذِينَ هَادُوا وَالرَّبَّانِيُّونَ​​ وَالْأَحْبَارُ بِمَا اسْتُحْفِظُوا مِن كِتَابِ اللَّهِ وَكَانُوا عَلَيْهِ شُهَدَاءَ​​ ۚ​​ فَلَا تَخْشَوُا النَّاسَ وَاخْشَوْنِ وَلَا تَشْتَرُوا بِآيَاتِي ثَمَنًا قَلِيلًا​​ ۚ​​ وَمَن لَّمْ يَحْكُم بِمَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْكَافِرُونَ​​ (44).

Indeed,​​ We sent down the Torah, in which was guidance and light. The prophets who submitted [to Allah] judged by it for the Jews, as did the rabbis and scholars by that with which they were entrusted of the Scripture of Allah, and they were witnesses thereto. So​​ do not fear the people but fear Me, and do not exchange My verses for a small price. And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed – then it is those who are the disbelievers (44).

We [SWT] Have Revealed The Tawra Containing Tutelage, Guidance And​​ Light For The Prophets Of Israel Who Have Accepted Islam [Like The Prophet Of Islam [SAAS]] As Well As The Rabbis, Priests, Ministers And Clergymen To Whom The Prophets Of Israel Entrusted The Protection Of The Tawra [Making Sure It Would Not Be Forged And​​ Falsified] And That They Would Bear Witnesses Thereto. Thus Have No Fear From Humankind But Have Fear For Me [SWT] And Do Not Purchase With My Ayat A Miserable Insignificant Price And Whoever Does Not Rule According To Allah [SWT]’s Revelation, Then Those​​ Are The Blasphemous.

 

وَكَتَبْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ فِيهَا أَنَّ النَّفْسَ بِالنَّفْسِ وَالْعَيْنَ بِالْعَيْنِ وَالْأَنفَ بِالْأَنفِ وَالْأُذُنَ بِالْأُذُنِ وَالسِّنَّ بِالسِّنِّ وَالْجُرُوحَ قِصَاصٌ​​ ۚ​​ فَمَن تَصَدَّقَ بِهِ فَهُوَ كَفَّارَةٌ لَّهُ​​ ۚ​​ وَمَن لَّمْ​​ يَحْكُم بِمَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ​​ (45).

And We ordained for them therein a life for a life, an eye for an eye, a nose for a nose, an ear for an ear, a tooth for a tooth, and for wounds is legal retribution. But whoever gives [up​​ his right as]​​ charity, it is an expiation for him. And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed – then it is those who are the wrongdoers (45).

We [SWT] Have Commanded And Decreed In The Tawra That The Retribution Of A Soul For A Soul And An Eye​​ For An Eye And A Nose For A Nose And An Ear For An Ear And a Tooth For A Tooth and Wounds Are Reciprocally Retributional [That Is, For What Has Been Committed Against A Person Then He/She Have A Right For Retribution Through Legal Means]. And Whoever Forgives And Pardons The Retaliation Through Charity Then It Is An Atonement For Him. And Whoever Does Not Rule With What Allah [SWT] Has Revealed Then Those Are The Unjust.

 

وَقَفَّيْنَا عَلَىٰ آثَارِهِم بِعِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ التَّوْرَاةِ​​ ۖ​​ وَآتَيْنَاهُ الْإِنجِيلَ فِيهِ هُدًى وَنُورٌ وَمُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ التَّوْرَاةِ وَهُدًى وَمَوْعِظَةً لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ​​ (46).

And We sent, following in their footsteps, Jesus, the son of Mary, confirming that which​​ came before him in the Torah; and We gave him the Gospel, in which was guidance and light and confirming that which preceded it of the Torah as guidance and instruction for the righteous (46).

And We [SWT] Followed In Their [The Jews] Trail With Issa The Son Of Mariam [AS] Confirming The Faith And Belief Of The Prophets Of Israel In Islam As Revealed In The Tawra. And We [SWT] Have Granted Issa [AS] The Injeel Which Contains Guidance And Illumination Confirming What The​​ Tawra Contained [Through Prophet Mousa [AS]’s Ten Commandments] And Guidance And Admonition To The Conscience And The Fearful [Of Allah [SWT]].

 

وَلْيَحْكُمْ أَهْلُ الْإِنجِيلِ بِمَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ فِيهِ​​ ۚ​​ وَمَن لَّمْ يَحْكُم بِمَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ​​ (47).

And​​ let the People of the Gospel judge by what Allah has revealed therein. And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed – then it is those who are the defiantly disobedient (47).

And So Allow The People Of Al Injeel [The Christians] To Rule With What​​ Allah [SWT] Has Revealed Therein And Whosoever Does Not Judge By The Revelation Of Allah [SWT] In Al Injeel Then These [People] Are The Debauchers.

 

وَأَنزَلْنَا إِلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ بِالْحَقِّ مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ وَمُهَيْمِنًا​​ عَلَيْهِ​​ ۖ​​ فَاحْكُم بَيْنَهُم بِمَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ​​ ۖ​​ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ عَمَّا جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْحَقِّ​​ ۚ​​ لِكُلٍّ جَعَلْنَا مِنكُمْ شِرْعَةً وَمِنْهَاجًا​​ ۚ​​ وَلَوْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَجَعَلَكُمْ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً وَلَٰكِن لِّيَبْلُوَكُمْ فِي مَا​​ آتَاكُمْ​​ ۖ​​ فَاسْتَبِقُوا الْخَيْرَاتِ​​ ۚ​​ إِلَى اللَّهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ جَمِيعًا فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ فِيهِ تَخْتَلِفُونَ​​ (48).

And We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], the Book in truth, confirming that which preceded it of the Scripture and as a criterion over it. So judge between them by what Allah has revealed and do not follow their inclinations away from what has come to you of the truth. To each of you We prescribed a law and a method. Had Allah willed, He would have made you one nation [united​​ in religion], but [He intended] to test you in what He has given you; so race to [all that is] good. To Allah is your return all together, and He will [then] inform you concerning that over which you used to differ (48).

And We [SWT] Have Revealed To You [O Muhammad [SAAS]] The Book [The Glorious Qur’an] In Fact And Reality [Truth] Confirming The Books [The Tawra And Injeel] Which Were Revealed Before It And Witnessing The Authenticity Of Both Scriptures. Whereas Those Suspect Rulings [Of Both The Tawra And​​ Injeel], The Glorious Qur’an Annulled And Eradicated Them. And So Rule [O Muhammad [SAAS]] Between Them [Jews And Christians] As Allah [SWT] Has Revealed To You In The Glorious Qur’an And Do Not Follow Their Vain Desires Diverging From The Truth That Allah [SWT] Has Shown You In The Glorious Qur’an. For Each Of You We Have Prescribed A Legal Code And Approach. And If Allah [SWT] Had So Wished He [SWT] Would Have Made You Into One Nation. However, He [SWT] Inflicts Hardship To What He [SWT] Has Granted You.​​ Thus Compete For The Welfare And Benevolence Of People. All Of You Shall Revert To Allah [SWT] Who Shall Inform All Of You Of What You Were Differing About.

 

وَأَنِ احْكُم بَيْنَهُم بِمَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ وَاحْذَرْهُمْ أَن​​ يَفْتِنُوكَ عَن بَعْضِ مَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ إِلَيْكَ​​ ۖ​​ فَإِن​​ تَوَلَّوْا فَاعْلَمْ أَنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ أَن يُصِيبَهُم بِبَعْضِ ذُنُوبِهِمْ​​ ۗ​​ وَإِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنَ النَّاسِ لَفَاسِقُونَ​​ (49).

And judge, [O Muhammad], between them by what Allah has revealed and do not follow their inclinations and beware of them, lest they tempt you away from some of what Allah has revealed to you. And if they turn away – then know that Allah only intends to afflict them with some of their [own] sins. And indeed, many among the people are defiantly disobedient (49).

And Rule [O Muhammad [SAAS]] Between Them [Jews And Christians] As Allah [SWT] Has Revealed To You In The Glorious Qur’an And Do Not Follow Their Vain Desires And Be Forewarned Lest They Beguile, Enthrall And Bewitch You From What Allah [SWT] Has Revealed To You [In The Glorious Qur’an]. Thus If They Turn Their Backs To You [O Muhammad [SAAS]] Then Be Sure That Allah [SWT] Wants To inflict Them With Some Of Their Sins. And Verily, Most People Are Debauchers.

 

أَفَحُكْمَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ يَبْغُونَ​​ ۚ​​ وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ مِنَ اللَّهِ حُكْمًا لِّقَوْمٍ يُوقِنُونَ (50).

Then is it the judgement of [the time of] ignorance they desire? But who is better than Allah in judgement for a people who are certain [in faith] (50).

So Are They [The Jews And Christians] Willing and Eager To Implement The Rulings Of The Time Of Ignorance? And Who Is Bestead And Superior Than Allah [SWT] For An Assured People.

 

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَتَّخِذُوا الْيَهُودَ وَالنَّصَارَىٰ أَوْلِيَاءَ​​ ۘ​​ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ بَعْضٍ​​ ۚ​​ وَمَن يَتَوَلَّهُم مِّنكُمْ فَإِنَّهُ مِنْهُمْ​​ ۗ​​ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمِينَ​​ (51).

O you who have believed, do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies. They are [in fact] allies of one​​ another. And whoever is an ally to them among you – then indeed, he is [one] of them. Indeed, Allah guides not the wrongdoing people (51).

O You Who Believe Do Not Take The Jews And Christians As Protagonists And Corroborators. They Are In Actual Fact Protagonists To Each Other And Whoever Takes Them As Corroborators From You [Believers] Shall Be Considered Amongst Them. Verily, Allah [SWT] Shall Not Guide The Unjust Transgressors.​​ 

This Ayah Was Revealed To Caution The Believers From Supporting And Joining Ranks With The Jews And Christians Who Displayed Animosity and Hatred Towards The Messenger Muhammad [SAAS] And The Message Of Islam As Revealed In The Glorious Qur’an.

 

فَتَرَى الَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ يُسَارِعُونَ فِيهِمْ يَقُولُونَ نَخْشَىٰ أَن تُصِيبَنَا دَائِرَةٌ​​ ۚ​​ فَعَسَى اللَّهُ أَن يَأْتِيَ بِالْفَتْحِ أَوْ​​ أَمْرٍ مِّنْ عِندِهِ فَيُصْبِحُوا عَلَىٰ مَا أَسَرُّوا فِي أَنفُسِهِمْ نَادِمِينَ​​ (52).

So you see those in whose hearts is disease hastening into [association with] them, saying, “We​​ are afraid a misfortune may strike us.” But perhaps Allah will bring conquest or a decision from Him, and they will become, over what they have been concealing within themselves, regretful (52).

And So [O Muhammad [SAAS]] You Observe Those [Jews And Christians] Who Have Sickness and Ailment In Their Hearts [Specifically Suspicion And Hypocrisy Towards Religion] Like The Jew Abdullah Bin Obai Speed Up Striking Deals Saying: “We Are Fearful That A Calamity Might Befall Us”, That Being If And When The Blasphemous Conquer The Lands And State Ruled By The Prophet Muhammad [SAAS] [In Al Medina] .Therefore, Allah [SWT] Might Bring Forth A Conquest Or A Command From Him [SWT] [That Being The Mission Of Islam And The Appearance Of The Messenger Muhammad [SAAS]] To Pursue The Jews And The Hypocrites Seeking The Ultimate Goal Of Finding Out If They Repent From The Thoughts Which They Confidentially Kept In Their Hearts. If They Refuse And Do Not Expose Their Real Intentions, Then The Prophet [SAAS] Is Ordered To Kill Them.

وَيَقُولُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَهَٰؤُلَاءِ الَّذِينَ أَقْسَمُوا بِاللَّهِ جَهْدَ أَيْمَانِهِمْ​​ ۙ​​ إِنَّهُمْ لَمَعَكُمْ​​ ۚ​​ حَبِطَتْ أَعْمَالُهُمْ فَأَصْبَحُوا خَاسِرِينَ (53).

 

And those who believe will say, “Are these the ones who swore by Allah their​​ strongest oaths that indeed they were with you?” Their deeds have become worthless, and they have become losers (53).

 

And The Believers Would Say To The Jews Of Al Medina In Reference To The Hypocrites [Of Al Medina]: “Are Those The Ones Who Have Taken An​​ Oath In Allah [SWT] To Their Utmost That They Shall Be With You? Their Actions Are Defeated And Annulled Thus They End Up As Ultimate Losers.

 

 

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَن يَرْتَدَّ مِنكُمْ عَن دِينِهِ فَسَوْفَ يَأْتِي اللَّهُ بِقَوْمٍ يُحِبُّهُمْ​​ وَيُحِبُّونَهُ أَذِلَّةٍ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَعِزَّةٍ عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ يُجَاهِدُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَلَا يَخَافُونَ لَوْمَةَ لَائِمٍ​​ ۚ​​ ذَٰلِكَ فَضْلُ اللَّهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَن يَشَاءُ​​ ۚ​​ وَاللَّهُ وَاسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ​​ (54).

O you who have believed, whoever​​ of you should revert from his religion – Allah will bring forth [in place of them] a people He will love and who will love Him [who are] humble toward the believers, powerful against the disbelievers; they strive in the cause of Allah and do not fear the​​ blame of a critic. That is the favor of Allah; He bestows it upon whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing (54).

 

O You Who Believe, Whosoever Rebounds And Defects From His Faith [Becoming An Apostate] , Then Allah [SWT] Shall Generate And​​ Breed A People Whom He [SWT] Loves And They Love Him [SWT] Humble Towards The Believers And Intrepid And Audacious Towards The Blasphemous,​​ 

Struggling In The [Righteous] Path Of Allah [SWT] Not Fearing Blame Or Critique. That Is The Grace Of Allah [SWT] Bestowing It Upon Whom He Wishes And Allah [SWT] Is All Encompassing, All Knowledgeable.

 

This Ayah Was Revealed As A Prelude To The Closest Sahabi To The Prophet Muhammad [SAAS], Abu Bakir Al Siddiq [RAA], His Accompanying Sahaba And Their Followers [Tabi’een in Arabic] Against The Apostates Of Yemen.

 

 

إِنَّمَا وَلِيُّكُمُ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا الَّذِينَ يُقِيمُونَ الصَّلَاةَ وَيُؤْتُونَ الزَّكَاةَ وَهُمْ رَاكِعُونَ​​ (55).

Your ally is none but Allah and [therefore] His Messenger and those​​ who have believed – those who establish prayer and give zakah, and they bow [in worship] (55).

 

Verily And Indeed Your Protectors And Custodians Are [In Actual Fact] Allah [SWT] And His Messenger [SAAS] And Those Who Believe And Who Manifest And Institute​​ Salat [Prayers], Give Out Zakat [Alms] And Who Are In Bowing Position To Display Subordination, Submission And Reverence To Al Mighty Allah [SWT].

 

 

وَمَن يَتَوَلَّ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا فَإِنَّ حِزْبَ اللَّهِ هُمُ الْغَالِبُونَ​​ (56).

And whoever is an ally of Allah and His Messenger and those who have believed – indeed, the party of Allah – they will be the predominant (56).

 

And For Those Believers Who Take Allah [SWT] And His Messenger [SAAS] And Those Who Believe As Protagonists, Then​​ The Party Of Allah [SWT] Are The Triumphant Party Of The Believers.

 

This Ayah Was Revealed When The Messenger [SAAS] And The Sahaba Fought The Jews Of Banu Qai’nuqa’ And The Pact That The Jew Abdullah Bin Obai​​ Struck With Them. In Contrast, Obada Bin Al​​ Samit Abdicated And Relinquished The Same Pact And Went To The Prophet [SAAS] To Declare Disowning Them And Strip And Remove Their Influence.

 

 

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَتَّخِذُوا الَّذِينَ اتَّخَذُوا دِينَكُمْ هُزُوًا وَلَعِبًا مِّنَ الَّذِينَ​​ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ وَالْكُفَّارَ أَوْلِيَاءَ​​ ۚ​​ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ​​ (57).

O you who have believed, take not those who have taken your religion in ridicule and amusement among the ones who were given the Scripture before​​ you nor the disbelievers as allies. And fear Allah, if you should [truly] be believers (57).

 

O You Who Believe Do Not Take Those Who Have Mocked And Treated Your Religion [Islam] In A Sarcastic And Ironic Way From The People Of The Book [Jews And Christians] As Well As From The Blasphemous As Protagonists And Protectors And Be Conscience And Fear Allah [SWT] If You Are [True] Believers.

 

 

وَإِذَا نَادَيْتُمْ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ اتَّخَذُوهَا هُزُوًا وَلَعِبًا​​ ۚ​​ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لَّا يَعْقِلُونَ​​ (58).

And when you call to prayer, they take it in ridicule and amusement. That is because they are a people who do not use reason (58).

 

And If And When Salat [Prayers] Is Called [For The Believers] Some Jews Mock The Muslims, Saying:” Curse Be Upon The Lier”. And Once The Believers Enter Salat [Bowing and Prostrating] The Jews Laugh and Joke. This Is Because They A Folk Who Lack Any Reasoning.

 

 

قُلْ يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ هَلْ تَنقِمُونَ مِنَّا إِلَّا أَنْ آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْنَا وَمَا أُنزِلَ مِن قَبْلُ وَأَنَّ أَكْثَرَكُمْ فَاسِقُونَ​​ (59).

 

Say, “O People of the Scripture, do you resent us except [for the fact] that we have believed in Allah and what was revealed to us and what was revealed before and because most of you are defiantly​​ disobedient?”​​ (59).

 

Say [O Muhammad [SAAS]]:” O People Of The Book Do You Deny And Deprecate Us For No Reason Other Than We Have Submitted To Allah [SWT] And To The Glorious Qur’an Revealed To Us [Believers] As Well As What Was Revealed Before Us [The​​ Tawra And The Injeel] And That Most Of You Experience Debauchery”.

 

 

قُلْ هَلْ أُنَبِّئُكُم بِشَرٍّ مِّن ذَٰلِكَ مَثُوبَةً عِندَ اللَّهِ​​ ۚ​​ مَن لَّعَنَهُ اللَّهُ وَغَضِبَ عَلَيْهِ وَجَعَلَ مِنْهُمُ الْقِرَدَةَ وَالْخَنَازِيرَ وَعَبَدَ​​ الطَّاغُوتَ​​ ۚ​​ أُولَٰئِكَ شَرٌّ مَّكَانًا وَأَضَلُّ عَن سَوَاءِ السَّبِيلِ​​ (60).

 

Say, “Shall I inform you of [what is] worse than that as penalty from Allah? [It is that of] those whom Allah has cursed and with whom He became angry and made of them apes and pigs and slaves of Taghut. Those are worse in position and further astray from the sound way.” (60).

 

Say [O Muhammad [SAAS]]:”Do You Want Me To Inform You Of Infirm And Imperfect People Who Have Indulged In More Evil [Thus Deserving The Recompense Of Allah [SWT]]? Those Who​​ Incurred The Curse And Wrath Of Allah [SWT] And Transformed Them Into Apes And Pigs And Those Who Worshipped Al Shaytan [The Devil Or Al Taghout In Arabic]. Those [Types Of People] Are In A More Evil Position And Are More In Aberrance From The Straight Path [Of Allah [SWT]].

 

 

وَإِذَا جَاءُوكُمْ قَالُوا آمَنَّا وَقَد دَّخَلُوا بِالْكُفْرِ وَهُمْ قَدْ خَرَجُوا بِهِ​​ ۚ​​ وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْتُمُونَ​​ (61).

 

And when they come to you, they say, “We believe.” But they have entered with disbelief [in​​ their hearts], and they have certainly left with it. And Allah is most knowing of what they were concealing (61). ​​​​ 

 ​​​​ 

And If They [The Hypocrite Jews] Come To You For Your Audience [O Muhammad [SAAS]] Saying:” We Have Believed In Islam”, Whereas They Are​​ Deceiving The Messenger [SAAS] Since They Carry Blasphemy In Their​​ Hearts Entering And Departing [The Prophet’s [SAAS] Audience] And Allah [SWT] Is More Knowledgeable Of What They Were Hiding.

 

وَتَرَىٰ كَثِيرًا مِّنْهُمْ يُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ وَأَكْلِهِمُ السُّحْتَ​​ ۚ​​ لَبِئْسَ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ​​ (62).

And you see many of them hastening into sin and aggression and the devouring of [what is] unlawful. How wretched is what they have been doing (62).

And You [O Muhammad [SAAS]] See​​ Most Of Them [Jews And Hypocrites] Quick In Perpetrating Transgression [With Lies, Polytheism And Forbidden And Prohibited Actions] Trespassing, Belligerence And Consuming Illegally Obtained Wealth. Miserable Is What They Were Working On.

 

لَوْلَا يَنْهَاهُمُ الرَّبَّانِيُّونَ وَالْأَحْبَارُ عَن قَوْلِهِمُ الْإِثْمَ وَأَكْلِهِمُ السُّحْتَ​​ ۚ​​ لَبِئْسَ مَا كَانُوا يَصْنَعُونَ​​ (63).

Why do the rabbis and religious scholars not forbid them from saying what is sinful and devouring what is unlawful? How wretched​​ is what they have been practicing (63).

For What Did The Priests And Rabbis Not Prohibit Them [The Jews And Christian Hypocrites] From Uttering Sinful Comments And Consuming Illegally Obtained Wealth. Miserable Is What They Have Fabricated.

 

وَقَالَتِ الْيَهُودُ يَدُ اللَّهِ مَغْلُولَةٌ​​ ۚ​​ غُلَّتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَلُعِنُوا بِمَا قَالُوا​​ ۘ​​ بَلْ يَدَاهُ مَبْسُوطَتَانِ يُنفِقُ كَيْفَ يَشَاءُ​​ ۚ​​ وَلَيَزِيدَنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنْهُم مَّا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ طُغْيَانًا وَكُفْرًا​​ ۚ​​ وَأَلْقَيْنَا بَيْنَهُمُ الْعَدَاوَةَ وَالْبَغْضَاءَ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ​​ ۚ​​ كُلَّمَا أَوْقَدُوا نَارًا لِّلْحَرْبِ أَطْفَأَهَا اللَّهُ​​ ۚ​​ وَيَسْعَوْنَ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَسَادًا​​ ۚ​​ وَاللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الْمُفْسِدِينَ​​ (64).

And the Jews say, “The hand of Allah is chained.” Chained are​​ their hands, and cursed are they for what they say. Rather, both His hands are extended; He spends however He wills. And that which has been revealed to you from your Lord will surely increase many of them in transgression and disbelief. And We have cast among them animosity and hatred until the Day of Resurrection. Every time they kindled the fire of war [against you], Allah extinguished it. And they strive throughout the land [causing] corruption, and Allah does not like corrupters (64).

And The Jews Have​​ Said:” The Hand Of Allah [SWT] Is Tied [In Reference To His [SWT]’s Stinginess And Mean Attitude With His Creation]. May Their Hands Be Tied And May They Be Cursed For Their Indictment And Accusation [Of The Creator [SWT]]. On The Contrary, The Hands Of Allah [SWT] Are Extended And Stretched Out, Expending In Which Every Way He [SWT] Wishes. And The Qur’anic Revelation Sent Down To You [O Muhammad [SAAS]] From Allah [SWT] Shall Augment Most Of Their [Jews And Christians] Tyranny, Despotism And Blasphemy. We [SWT] Have Cast Amongst Them [Jews And Christians] Odiousness And Aversion Until​​ Resurrection Day. If And When They Kindle A Fire For War. Allah [SWT] Exterminates It And They Seek Corruption on Earth And Allah [SWT] Does Not Love Those Who Are Corrupt,​​ Dishonest And Frauds.

This Ayah Was Revealed When A Jew Named Finhas Who Said: ”We Are Rich And Allah [SWT] Is Poor”. In Response Abu Baker Al Siddiq [RAA] Struck The Jew On The Face [See: Ayat 181 And 182 From Surat Aali Imran].

 

وَلَوْ أَنَّ أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ آمَنُوا وَاتَّقَوْا لَكَفَّرْنَا عَنْهُمْ سَيِّئَاتِهِمْ َلَأَدْخَلْنَاهُمْ جَنَّاتِ النَّعِيمِ​​ (65).

And if only the People of the Scripture had believed and feared Allah, We would have removed from them their misdeeds and admitted them to Gardens​​ of Pleasure (65).

And Had The People Of The Book [Jews and Christians] Been Conscience And Fearful Of Allah [SWT] Not Associating A Partner Or Deity With Him [SWT] And ​​ Believing In Muhammad The Last Prophet And Messenger [SAAS] Then We [SWT] Would Atone Their Wrongdoings And Atrocities And Admit Them Into Jannat Of Bliss.

 

وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ أَقَامُوا التَّوْرَاةَ وَالْإِنجِيلَ وَمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِم مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ لَأَكَلُوا مِن فَوْقِهِمْ وَمِن تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِهِم​​ ۚ​​ مِّنْهُمْ أُمَّةٌ مُّقْتَصِدَةٌ​​ ۖ​​ وَكَثِيرٌ مِّنْهُمْ سَاءَ مَا يَعْمَلُونَ​​ (66).

And if only they upheld [the law of] the Torah, the Gospel, and what has been revealed to them from their Lord, they would have​​ consumed [provision] from above them and from beneath their feet. Among them are​​ a moderate community, but many of them – evil is that which they do (66).

And Had They [Jews And Christians] Applied The Provisions And Rulings In The Tawra And The Injeel Specifically Regarding Their ​​ Belief In The Message Of Muhammad [SAAS], They Would​​ Have Obtained Their Victuals, Food Supplies And Sustenance More Easily, More Prolifically And More Diversely. Amongst Them Are The Believers In The Prophet Of Islam Muhammad [SAAS] Such As [The Jew Who Submitted To Islam Like] Abdullah Bin Salam And His Followers Some Of Whom Are Christians. Whereas The Majority Of The Deniers Of The Message Of Muhammad [SAAS] Are Involved In Sinister And Malicious Acts.

 

يَا أَيُّهَا الرَّسُولُ بَلِّغْ مَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ​​ ۖ​​ وَإِن لَّمْ تَفْعَلْ فَمَا​​ بَلَّغْتَ رِسَالَتَهُ​​ ۚ​​ وَاللَّهُ يَعْصِمُكَ مِنَ النَّاسِ​​ ۗ​​ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْكَافِرِينَ​​ (67).

O Messenger, announce that which has been revealed to you from your Lord, and if you do not, then you have not conveyed His message. And Allah will protect you from the people. Indeed, Allah does not guide the disbelieving people (67).

O Messenger [Of Allah [SWT] Reach Out And Inform [The People] What Has Been Revealed [To You In The Glorious Qur’an] From Your Lord [SWT] Without Concealing Or​​ Withholding Anything. And So If You Do Not [Reach Out And Inform People [Of The Qur’anic Revelation]] Then You Would Not Have Achieved [The Goal Of] Your Message. [And Rest Assured O Muhammad [SAAS]] That Allah [SWT] Shall Protect You From People [Who​​ Aim​​ To Derail Your Mission And Cause You Harm]. Verily, Allah [SWT] Shall Not Guide The Blasphemous People.

 

قُلْ يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ لَسْتُمْ عَلَىٰ شَيْءٍ حَتَّىٰ تُقِيمُوا التَّوْرَاةَ وَالْإِنجِيلَ وَمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكُم مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ​​ ۗ​​ وَلَيَزِيدَنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنْهُم مَّا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ طُغْيَانًا وَكُفْرًا​​ ۖ​​ فَلَا تَأْسَ عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ​​ (68).

Say, “O People of the Scripture, you are [standing] on nothing until you uphold [the law of] the Torah, the Gospel,​​ and what has been revealed to you from your Lord.” And that which has been revealed to you from your Lord will surely increase many of them in transgression and disbelief. So do not grieve over the disbelieving people (68).​​ 

Say To The People Of The Book [Jews And Christians]:”You Shall Not Be On Firm Ground In Enforcing The Truth In The Tawra And The Injeel [Regarding The Final Messenger Muhammad [SAAS]] And What Was Revealed [In The Glorious Qur’an] To Him”. And To Most Of These People Increases Their Obstinate Rebellion And Blasphemy Because Of What Was Revealed To You From Your Lord [SWT].

According To Abdullah Ibn Abbas [RAA]: This Ayah Was Revealed When Four Of The Jews [Of Al Medina: Nafi’ Ibn Haritha, Sallam Ibn Mishkem, Malik Ibn Al Saif And Rafi’​​ Ibn Harmalah] Came To The Prophet [SAAS] Saying: Do You Not Claim That You Are From [Prophet] Ibraheem [AS]’s Denomination And His Religion And Believe In Our Tawra Witnessing That It Is The Truth From Allah? The Prophet [SAAS] Replied:”Yes But You Innovated, Denied And Repudiated The Covenant That Was Taken Upon​​ You [Regarding The Tawra] And Blasphemed What Was Commanded Of You To Proclaim And Declare To The People.

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَالَّذِينَ هَادُوا وَالصَّابِئُونَ وَالنَّصَارَىٰ مَنْ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ​​ (69) ​​ 

Indeed, those who have believed [in Prophet Muhammad] and those [before Him] who were Jews or Sabeans or Christians – those [among them] who believed in Allah​​ and the Last Day and did righteousness – no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve (69).

Verily, Those Who Believe [from Muslims], From Jews, Sabeans​​ [Worshippers of Angles & Stars​​ Who Deserted Jews] And From Christians Who Have Firmly And Unequivocally Believed In Allah [SWT] And The Last Day [of Judgement] And Who Have Performed Righteous Deeds Should Not Have Any Fear For Themselves Nor Should They Be Saddened.

لَقَدْ أَخَذْنَا مِيثَاقَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ وَأَرْسَلْنَا إِلَيْهِمْ رُسُلًا​​ ۖ​​ كُلَّمَا جَاءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ بِمَا لَا تَهْوَىٰ أَنفُسُهُمْ فَرِيقًا كَذَّبُوا وَفَرِيقًا يَقْتُلُونَ​​ (70).

We had already taken the covenant of the Children of Israel and had sent to them messengers. Whenever there came to them a messenger with what​​ their souls did not desire, a party [of messengers] they denied, and another party they killed (70).

 

​​ We [SWT] Have Taken Upon The Children Of Israel Their Covenant And Sent Them Messengers. Each Time A Messenger Comes To Them Whom They Disliked Or Did Not Desire, They Would Deny His Message While Others They Would Murder. Prophet Issa [AS] – Like Other Prophets – Was Denied His Prophet Hood, Message and Miracles While Prophets Zakariyya [AS] And Yahya [AS] Were Also Murdered.

وَحَسِبُوا أَلَّا تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌ فَعَمُوا وَصَمُّوا ثُمَّ تَابَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ ثُمَّ عَمُوا وَصَمُّوا كَثِيرٌ مِّنْهُمْ ۚ وَاللَّهُ بَصِيرٌ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ​​ (71).

And they thought there would be no [resulting] punishment, so they became blind and deaf. Then Allah turned to them​​ in forgiveness; then [again] many of them became blind and deaf. And Allah is Seeing of what they do (71).

 

And They [The Jews, Sabeans [Worshippers of Angels Stars & Planets: Ayah 62 Of Surat Al Baqara] As Well As The Christians] Thought That It Would Not Be A Sedition So They Blinded And Deafened Themselves. Allah [SWT] Then Granted Them Repentance. They Further Blinded And Deafened Themselves In Large Numbers And Allah [SWT] Is Observant Of Their Actions.

 

لَقَدْ كَفَرَ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ​​ هُوَ الْمَسِيحُ ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ ۖ وَقَالَ الْمَسِيحُ يَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ رَبِّي وَرَبَّكُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُ مَن يُشْرِكْ بِاللَّهِ فَقَدْ حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ الْجَنَّةَ وَمَأْوَاهُ النَّارُ ۖ وَمَا لِلظَّالِمِينَ مِنْ أَنصَارٍ​​ (72).

 

They have certainly disbelieved who say, ” Allah is the Messiah, the son of Mary” while the Messiah has said, “O Children of Israel, worship Allah , my Lord and your Lord.” Indeed, he who associates others with Allah – Allah has forbidden him Paradise, and​​ his refuge is the Fire. And there are not for the wrongdoers any helpers (72).

 

They [The Jews, Christians And Sabeans] Were Certainly Blasphemous In Saying: “That Al Maseeh [Issa, AS] Ibn [Son Of] Mariam [AS] Is Allah [SWT] Himself.​​ However, Al Maseeh [AS] Has Said: “O Children Of Israel, Worship Allah [SWT], My Lord And Your Lord. Whosoever Associates A Deity With Allah [SWT] Then He [SWT] Shall Forbid This Disbeliever From Entering Al Jannah [Paradise]​​ And His Shelter Shall Be The Hellfire And For The Unjust [Trespassers] Their Shall Be No Supporters Or Helpers [On Judgement Day].

 

This Ayah Was Revealed And Propagated At The Lifetime Of Prophet Issa [AS] By Two Religious Sects: The Jacobians And The Malkonians Who Spread Lies And Rumors About Allah​​ [SWT] Claiming That Allah [SWT] Spiritually Displaced Himself Into The Soul Of Prophet Issa [AS]. This Was An Act Of Complete Blasphemy And Utter Heresy.

 

 

لَّقَدْ كَفَرَ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ ثَالِثُ ثَلَاثَةٍ ۘ وَمَا مِنْ إِلَٰهٍ إِلَّا إِلَٰهٌ​​ وَاحِدٌ ۚ وَإِن لَّمْ يَنتَهُوا عَمَّا يَقُولُونَ لَيَمَسَّنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ​​ (73).

They have certainly disbelieved who say, ” Allah is the third of three.” And there is no god except one God. And if they do not desist from what they are saying, there will surely afflict the disbelievers among them a painful​​ punishment (73).

 

They Certainly Blaspheme, Those Who Say Allah [SWT] Is The Third In A Trinity Bringing Together Al Maseeh Issa Ibn Mariam [AS] And His Mother….​​ 

And If These Blasphemous Christians Who Claim “Trinity” Do Not Refrain From Their Speech, Rumors And Accusations – While Allah [SWT] Is The One And Only Deity – Then A Grievous Torment Shall Befall Them On Judgement Day.

 

أَفَلَا يَتُوبُونَ إِلَى اللَّهِ​​ وَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَهُ ۚ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيم​​ (74).​​ 

So will they not repent to Allah and seek His forgiveness? And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful​​ (74).

 

And Thus Shall They [Jews. Christians And Sabeans] Not Repent From Their Slanderous Name-Calling Of​​ Allah [SWT] – Regarding “Trinity” – And Ask For His Forgiveness? And Allah [SWT] Is Oft Forgiving And Merciful.

 

مَّا الْمَسِيحُ ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ إِلَّا رَسُولٌ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهِ الرُّسُلُ وَأُمُّهُ صِدِّيقَةٌ ۖ كَانَا يَأْكُلَانِ الطَّعَامَ ۗ انظُرْ​​ كَيْفَ نُبَيِّنُ لَهُمُ الْآيَاتِ ثُمَّ انظُر أَنّى يُؤْفَكُونَ(75) ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​​​ The Messiah, son of Mary, was not but a messenger; [other] messengers have passed on​​ before him. And his mother was a supporter of truth. They both used to eat food. Look how We make clear to them the signs; then look how they are deluded​​ (75).

Al Maseeh [AS] Ibn Mariam Is Nothing But A Messenger [Human Worshipper] Of Allah [SWT] Like All​​ Other Messengers Who Came Before Him. The Miracles He Was Able To Perform For The Jews And Christians Were In Accordance With The Commands Of Allah [SWT] [Raising the Dead, And Treating The Sick And Leprosy, Etc]. Similar To Allah [SWT]’s Commands To Prophet Mousa [AS] And His Cane In Saving The Children Of Israel From The Pharaoh Of Egypt. No Doubt, The Greatest Of All​​ Miracles Is The Creation Of The Father Of Prophets, Adam [AS] From No Parents.

قُلْ أَتَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ مَا لَا يَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ​​ ضَرًّا وَلَا نَفْعًا ۚ وَاللَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ (76).

Say, “Do you worship besides Allah that which holds for you no [power of] harm or benefit while it is Allah who is the Hearing, the Knowing? (76)”

 

Oh Muhammad [SAAS] Say To The Jews And Christians [Who Profess Trinity] : “Do You Worship A Deity Other Than Allah [SWT] Such As Issa [AS] And His Mother Who Do Not Posses Harm Or Benefit To You While Allah [SWT] Is The All Hearing, The All Knowledgeable ?? “And Thus Whoever Holds These Qualities​​ Is The True And Undisputed “Universal “Deity!!!

​​ قُلْ يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ لَا تَغْلُوا فِي دِينِكُمْ غَيْرَ الْحَقِّ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا أَهْوَاءَ قَوْمٍ قَدْ ضَلُّوا مِن قَبْلُ وَأَضَلُّوا كَثِيرًا وَضَلُّوا عَن سَوَاءِ السَّبِيلِ (77).


Say, “O People​​ of the Scripture, do not exceed limits in your religion beyond the truth and do not follow the inclinations of a people who had gone astray before and misled many and have strayed from the soundness of the way (77).”

 

Oh Muhammad [SAAS] Say To The Jews And​​ Christians [Who Profess Trinity] And Who Are Known As The “People Of The Book” [The Tawra & Injeel] Do Not Follow The Footsteps Of The Sects Before You Who Followed Their Whims, Desires And Extravagant Ways [As In The Case Of The​​ Two Religious Sects: The​​ Jacobians And The Malkonians Who Spread Lies And​​ Rumors About Allah [SWT]​​ And Thus They Went Astray Causing Their Followers Into Aberrance. All Of This History Was Before The Advent Of The Prophet of Islam, Muhammad [SAAS] And His Universal And Final Revelation And Religion [570-630 AD].

 

لُعِنَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِن بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ عَلَىٰ لِسَانِ دَاوُودَ وَعِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِمَا عَصَوا وَّكَانُوا يَعْتَدُونَ.(78)​​ 

Cursed were those who disbelieved among the Children of Israel by the​​ tongue of David and of Jesus, the son of Mary. That was because they disobeyed and [habitually] transgressed (78).

 

The Blasphemous Attitude Of The Children Of Israel Who Rejected Faith, Disobeyed, Transgressed And Persisted In Their Excesses [Were Cursed​​ Through The Tongues Of Prophet Davide [AS] And His Book [Azzabour In Arabic] And Prophet Issa [AS] – Son Of Mariam – ​​ And Al Injeel Regarding Trinity And The Association Of A Deity With Allah [SWT]].

 

كَانُوا لَا يَتَنَاهَوْنَ عَن مُّنكَرٍ فَعَلُوهُ ۚ​​ لَبِئْسَ مَا كَانُوا يَفْعَلُون.(79)​​ 

They used not to prevent one another from wrongdoing that they did. How wretched was that which they were doing (79).

 

They Also Did Not Forbid One Another The Transgressions And Iniquities They Committed: Forlorn And​​ Miserable Were The Deeds Which They Perpetrated.​​ 

 

One Fundamental Islamic Jurisprudential Principle: Is To Enjoin The Good And Forbid The Evil. According To Abdullah Ibn Mas’oud [RAA], Who Quotes The Messenger Of Allah [SAAS], Saying: The First “Deficient​​ Actions” The Children Of Israel Were Famous For, Involved Carrying Out Their Social Relationships With Fraudulent Attitude. An Israelite Would Meet Another And Admonish And Caution Him Against Fearing And Being Conscious Of Allah​​ [SWT] And Advising Him Not To Proceed With His Intended Actions. The Next Day He Would Meet His Israeli Partner And Overlook His Advice By Sitting, Eating & Drinking With Him – In Of Itself A Fraudulent Behavior -. By Doing So, Allah [SWT] Tormented And Afflicted Their Hearts Striking Each Heart With Another Then He [SWT] Cursed All Israelites Who Went Astray From Allah [SWT]’s Guidance As Given In The Tawra.

 

تَرَىٰ كَثِيرًا مِّنْهُمْ يَتَوَلَّوْنَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا ۚ لَبِئْسَ مَا قَدَّمَتْ لَهُمْ أَنفُسُهُمْ أَن سَخِطَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَفِي الْعَذَابِ هُمْ خَالِدُون(80) .​​ 

 

see many of them becoming allies of those who disbelieved. How wretched is that which they have put forth for themselves in that Allah has become angry with them, and in the punishment they will abide eternally (80).

 

You Prophet Muhammad [SAAS] See Many Of The Jews Becoming Friends And Proponents With The Blasphemous And Pagan [Non-Believers] Of Makkah. This Despicable And Vile Act [On The Part Of The Jews] Which They Have Placed Themselves In Shall Bring Them Allah [SWT]’s Wrath And Eternal Torment In The Hellfire Which They So Much Deserve For Betraying, Misleading And Defrauding Their Own Jewish Religion.

 

وَلَوْ كَانُوا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالنَّبِيِّ وَمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مَا اتَّخَذُوهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءَ وَلَٰكِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنْهُمْ فَاسِقُونَ (81).

And if they had believed in Allah and the Prophet and in what was revealed to him, they would not have taken them as allies; but many of them are defiantly disobedient (81)

And If Only The Jews Had Believed​​ In Their Prophet Mousa [AS] And His Revelation In The Tawra [As Did The Muslim Believers In Their Final Prophet Muhammad [SAAS] And The Final Revelation Of The Glorious Qur’an] They Would Never Have Had Many Of The Jews Becoming Friends And Proponents With The Blasphemous And Pagan [Non-Believers] Of Makkah. However, Most Of The Jews Are Rebellious, Intransigent And Insubordinate.

 

لَتَجِدَنَّ أَشَدَّ النَّاسِ عَدَاوَةً لِّلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا الْيَهُودَ وَالَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا ۖ وَلَتَجِدَنَّ أَقْرَبَهُم مَّوَدَّةً لِّلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا الَّذِينَ قَالُوا إِنَّا نَصَارَىٰ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ مِنْهُمْ قِسِّيسِينَ وَرُهْبَانًا وَأَنَّهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ (82)

You will surely find the most intense of the people in animosity toward the believers [to be] the Jews and​​ those who associate others with Allah ; and you will find the nearest of them in affection to the believers those who say, “We are Christians.” That is because among them are priests and monks and because they are not arrogant (82).

 

You Oh Muhammad [SAAS] Shall Find The Most Intense And Overpowering People With Enmity Against The Believers To Be The Jews As Well As Pagans. In The Same Token You Oh Muhammad [SAAS] Shall Find The Believers [In Issa [AS] And The Injeel] The Closest In Endearment To The Muslim Believers And Who Said They Are Christians. This Is Because Amongst Them Are Scholars, Priests And Monks Who Are Not Presumptuous Or Egotistic.

 

This Particular Ayah Was Revealed To The Prophet Of Islam [SAAS] When A Delegation From The King Of Abbasinya​​ [Al Habasha In Arabic And Today It Is Known As Ethiopia] And His Christian Followers Arrived In Medina To Meet Muhammad [SAAS]. During This Encounter, Surat “Yaseen” [Chapter 23] Was Recited. The Christian Delegation Went Into Tears Upon Listening To The​​ Surah And Submitted To Islam Saying That This Text And Meaning Is Similar To What Was Revealed To Prophet Issa [AS] Almost 600 Years Earlier. The Following Ayah 83 Describes What Allah [SWT] Has Revealed In This Respect.​​ 

وَإِذَا سَمِعُوا مَا أُنزِلَ إِلَى​​ الرَّسُولِ تَرَىٰ أَعْيُنَهُمْ تَفِيضُ مِنَ الدَّمْعِ مِمَّا عَرَفُوا مِنَ الْحَقِّ ۖ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا فَاكْتُبْنَا مَعَ الشَّاهِدِين​​ َ​​ (83).

And when they hear what has been revealed to the Messenger, you see their eyes overflowing with tears​​ because of what they have recognized of the truth. They say, “Our Lord, we have believed, so register us among the witnesses (83).

 

Ayah 83 And The Previous One 82 Describe Fully The Christian Submission To The Truth Revealed To The Messenger Of Islam Muhammad [SAAS] Expressing Their Desire To Enter The Muslim Religion After Manifesting Their “Tearful” Eyes in Response To The Qur’anic Revelation They Hear From The Mouth Of Prophet Muhammad [SAAS] Saying:” Oh Our Lord We Have Submitted To You, Thus Write Us​​ Amongst Those Who Believe In You And The Book [The Qur’an] You Revealed And The Messenger [Muhammad] You Have Chosen”.

 

وَمَا لَنَا لَا نُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَمَا جَاءَنَا مِنَ الْحَقِّ وَنَطْمَعُ أَن يُدْخِلَنَا رَبُّنَا مَعَ الْقَوْمِ الصَّالِحِين​​ َ​​ (84).

 

And why should we not believe in Allah and what has come to us of the truth? And we aspire that our Lord will admit us [to Paradise] with the righteous people.” (84).

 

And The Christians Who Followed The Message Of Islam And Teachings Of The Prophet Muhammad [SAAS] Were Denounced And Denigrated By The Jews, Saying: “Why Should We Not Be Amongst The Believers In Allah [SWT] And The Truth Revealed In The ​​ Glorious Qur’an And That Allah [SWT] Shall Include And Enter Us Amongst The Righteous People On Judgement Day To Become Occupants Of The Various Levels Of Al Jannah”.

​​ فَأَثَابَهُمُ اللَّهُ بِمَا قَالُوا جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ جَزَاءُ الْمُحْسِنِينَ​​ (85).

 

So Allah rewarded them for what they said with​​ gardens [in Paradise] beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally. And that is the reward of doers of good (85) .​​ 

 

Allah [SWT]’s Recompense For Those [Christian Believers] Who Were Included By Ayat 82-84 Is Ayah 85 For What They Said About The​​ Prophet [SAAS] And The Message Of Islam. The Reward By Allah [SWT] Of These Righteous People Is Jannat In Which They Shall Abide Eternally.

 

This Ayah Reflects The Honesty And Sincerity Of The Christian Believers In What The Messenger Of Islam [SAAS] Had​​ Originally Declared And Proclaimed Through His Message Of The Glorious Qur’an. For This Objective The Messenger [SAAS] Delegated To Abbasinya, And Instructed The Two Sahabis: Amr Bin Omyyah Al Dhamri [RAA] And [The Prophet’s Cousin] Ja’far Bin Abi Talib [RAA] To Travel There To Meet The Habashi King. There Both Sahabi’s Recited Excerpts From The Glorious Qur’an Particularly Surat “Mariam” [Chapter 19]. The Listening Christians To This Particular Recitation Were Emotional And Sentimental And Their Eyes Were​​ Tearful Including Priests, Monks Religious Scholars.

 

وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَكَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا أُولَٰئِكَ أَصْحَابُ الْجَحِيمِ (86).

But those who disbelieved and denied Our signs – they are the companions of Hellfire(86) .

​​ 

However, Those Who Were​​ Blasphemous And Disbelievers That Refused And Rejected The Glorious Qur’an And Its Revelations Are Associates And Escorts Of The Hellfire.

 

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تُحَرِّمُوا طَيِّبَاتِ مَا أَحَلَّ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ وَلَا تَعْتَدُوا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْمُعْتَدِينَ (87).

 

O you who have believed, do not prohibit the good things which Allah has made lawful to you and do not transgress. Indeed, Allah does not like transgressors (87).

 

O You Who Believe Do Not Forbid The Permissible And​​ Allowable That Allah [SWT] Has Made Legitimate For You And Do Not Violate Or Infringe [On Other People’s Rights] For Verily Allah [SWT] Does Not Endear The Trespassers And / Or Encroachers.

وَكُلُوا مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ اللَّهُ حَلَالًا طَيِّبًا ۚ وَاتَّقُوا​​ اللَّهَ الَّذِي أَنتُم بِهِ مُؤْمِنُونَ ​​ (88).

 

And eat of what Allah has provided for you [which is] lawful and good. And fear Allah, in whom you are believers (88).

 

And Eat [And Drink] From What Allah [SWT] Has Provided You In Permissible Sustenance And​​ Be Aware And Mindful Of Him [SWT]​​ To Whom You​​ Believe In And Submit To.

 

لَا​​ يُؤَاخِذُكُمُ اللَّهُ بِاللَّغْوِ فِي أَيْمَانِكُمْ وَلَٰكِن يُؤَاخِذُكُم بِمَا عَقَّدتُّمُ الْأَيْمَانَ ۖ فَكَفَّارَتُهُ إِطْعَامُ عَشَرَةِ مَسَاكِينَ مِنْ أَوْسَطِ مَا​​ تُطْعِمُونَ أَهْلِيكُمْ أَوْ كِسْوَتُهُمْ أَوْ تَحْرِيرُ رَقَبَةٍ ۖ فَمَن لَّمْ يَجِدْ فَصِيَامُ​​ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ كَفَّارَةُ أَيْمَانِكُمْ إِذَا حَلَفْتُمْ ۚ وَاحْفَظُوا أَيْمَانَكُمْ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ آيَاتِهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ (89).

Allah will not impose blame upon you for what is meaningless in your oaths, but He will impose blame upon you for [breaking] what you intended of oaths. So its expiation is the feeding of ten needy people from the average of that which you​​ feed your [own] families or clothing them or the freeing of a slave. But whoever cannot find [or afford it] – then a fast of three days [is required]. That is the expiation for oaths when you have sworn But guard your oaths. Thus does Allah make clear to you His verses that you may be grateful ​​ (89).

 

Allah [SWT] Shall Not Call You To Account For What Is Insignificant Or Ineffectual In Your Oath To Him [SWT] As In Saying: “Yes By Allah [SWT] Or No By Allah [SWT]” Which Is A Common Expression Amongst The Arab Society At The Rise And Spread Of Islam.​​ 

 

However, He [SWT] Shall Call You To Account For Your Oaths Which Are Effective In Purpose, Resoluteness, Intention And Documentation. Thus If You Are Held In Perjury Then You Must Pay An Atonement And That​​ According To Ayah 89 [Above] Is Feeding Ten Indigent People On A Scale Of The Average Spending On Feeding Your Own Families [According To Omar [RAA] And Aisha [RAA] Feeding Each Of The Ten Indigent Half Of A “Sa’a” [A Measure Of Volume In Arabic] Of Wheat,​​ Barley Or Dates. A Substitute Would Be Clothing Them With Clothing Sufficient For Salat. ​​ Otherwise Emancipating A Slave For Atonement. If These Expiations Are Not Attainable Or Beyond Ones Means, Then Fasting Three Consecutive Days For Atonement Shall Suffice For The Act of Perjury Committed.

 

The Above Are The Expiations For The “Perjury” Oaths A Person Has Sworn. Thus A Muslim Should Keep, Maintain And Preserve His “Truthful” Oath To Allah [SWT]. And In Case A Muslim Commits Perjury He Should Not Acquiescence And Delay His Atonement. Therefore Allah [SWT] Has Provided With “This Great Ayah” For Believers In Him [SWT], The Glorious Qur’an And The Prophet [SAAS], The Necessary Knowledge Allah [SWT] Has Bestowed Upon Believers For The Jurisprudence Rulings​​ And Judgements To Follow And Be Grateful And Thankful To Him [SWT] ​​ And For His Ayat.

 

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنَّمَا الْخَمْرُ وَالْمَيْسِرُ وَالْأَنصَابُ وَالْأَزْلَامُ رِجْسٌ مِّنْ عَمَلِ الشَّيْطَانِ فَاجْتَنِبُوهُ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ (90)

 

O you who have believed, indeed, intoxicants, gambling, [sacrificing on] stone alters [to other than Allah], and divining​​ arrows are but defilement from the work of Satan, so avoid it that you may be successful (90).

 

O You Who Believe Verily, Alcoholic​​ Drinks [Intoxicants], And Gambling, And Dedication Of Stones, And Divination By Arrows Are An Abomination Of The Work Of Al Shaytan Thus Stay Away From His Abomination So That You May Succeed And Be Prosperous.

 


إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ الشَّيْطَانُ أَن يُوقِعَ بَيْنَكُمُ الْعَدَاوَةَ وَالْبَغْضَاءَ فِي الْخَمْرِ وَالْمَيْسِرِ وَيَصُدَّكُمْ عَن ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ وَعَنِ الصَّلَاةِ ۖ فَهَلْ أَنتُم مُّنتَهُونَ​​ (91).

Satan only wants to cause between you animosity and hatred through intoxicants and gambling and to avert​​ you from the remembrance of Allah and from prayer. So will you not desist?​​ ​​ (91).

 

Verily Al Shaytan’s Objective Is To Cause Enmity And​​ Hatred Between You [Believers] Through​​ Alcoholic Drinks [Intoxicants], And Gambling​​ In Order To Repel You From Remembering Allah [SWT] And From Salat. So Shall You Not Abstain And Refrain?​​ 

 

وَأَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَاحْذَرُوا ۚ فَإِن تَوَلَّيْتُمْ فَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّمَا عَلَىٰ رَسُولِنَا الْبَلَاغُ الْمُبِين ُ.(92)

And obey Allah and obey the Messenger and​​ beware. And if you turn away – then know that upon Our Messenger is only [the responsibility for] clear notification (92).

 

The English Wording Of Ayah 92 Above Is Sufficient In Explaining The Arabic Wording Except For The Word “Beware Or Be On The Lookout” For Disobeying Allah [SWT] And His Messenger [SAAS].

 

لَيْسَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ جُنَاحٌ فِيمَا طَعِمُوا إِذَا مَا اتَّقَوا وَّآمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ ثُمَّ اتَّقَوا وَّآمَنُوا ثُمَّ اتَّقَوا وَّأَحْسَنُوا ۗ​​ وَاللَّهُ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِينَ.(93)​​ 

 

There is not upon those who believe and do righteousness [any] blame concerning what they have eaten [in the past] if they [now] fear Allah and believe and do righteous deeds, and then fear Allah and believe, and​​ then fear Allah and do good; and Allah loves the doers of good (93).

 

There Is No [Islamic Jurisprudential] Offence For Those [Believers] Who Have Believed And Who Have [Currently] Acted Righteously For What They Have Consumed By Way Of Food [In The Past]​​ If They Are Conscious [Of Allah [SWT], Believed In Him [SWT] And Performed Righteous Deeds, Then They Become Conscious And Fearful Of Him [SWT], Then Further Becoming ​​ Conscious And Fearful Of Allah [SWT] And Performing Good Deeds.​​ Verily Allah [SWT] Endears​​ Philanthropical And Kind Worshippers.

 

The Reason Behind The Revelation Of This Ayah Was That When Ayah 90 And Ayah 91 Were Revealed, Some Of The Sahaba [RAA] Questioned The Group Of Sahaba Who Used To Drink And Gamble But Who Perished Before The Revelation Of These Two Ayat. The Answer Came From Archangel Jibreel [AS] Confirmed And Corroborated By The Messenger [SAAS] That They Died Before The Prohibition Mentioned In Ayat 90 And 91, And So These Deceased Sahaba [RAA] Do Not Carry Any Sin Or Transgression Burden Since They Feared Allah [SWT] And Were Conscious Of Him [SWT].

When They Were Alive.

 

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَيَبْلُوَنَّكُمُ اللَّهُ بِشَيْءٍ مِّنَ الصَّيْدِ تَنَالُهُ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَرِمَاحُكُمْ لِيَعْلَمَ اللَّهُ مَن يَخَافُهُ بِالْغَيْبِ ۚ فَمَنِ اعْتَدَىٰ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ فَلَهُ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ ​​ (94).

 

O you who have believed, Allah will surely test you through something of the game that your hands and spears [can] reach, that Allah may make evident those who fear Him unseen. And whoever​​ transgresses after that – for him is a painful punishment.

 

O You Who Believe, Allah [SWT] Shall Surly Test Your Resolve Regarding Hunting Through Your Hands And Spears So That Allah [SWT] May Discern Those Believers Who Are Fearful Of Him [SWT] In Transcendence Through Prohibition Of Hunting During The Months Of Hajj For Hujaj And Mu’tamiroon As Well As Within The Premises Of Al Ka’bah And Makkah. And Whosoever Violates This Ruling He/She Shall After That Receive Painful Torment.

 

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَقْتُلُوا الصَّيْدَ وَأَنتُمْ حُرُمٌ ۚ وَمَن قَتَلَهُ مِنكُم مُّتَعَمِّدًا فَجَزَاءٌ مِّثْلُ مَا قَتَلَ مِنَ النَّعَمِ يَحْكُمُ بِهِ ذَوَا عَدْلٍ مِّنكُمْ هَدْيًا بَالِغَ الْكَعْبَةِ أَوْ كَفَّارَةٌ طَعَامُ مَسَاكِينَ أَوْ عَدْلُ ذَٰلِكَ صِيَامًا لِّيَذُوقَ وَبَالَ أَمْرِهِ ۗ عَفَا اللَّهُ عَمَّا سَلَفَ ۚ وَمَنْ عَادَ فَيَنتَقِمُ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ ذُو انتِقَامٍ (95).

 

O you who have believed, do not kill game while you are in the state of ihram. And whoever of you kills it intentionally – the penalty is an equivalent from sacrificial animals to what he killed, as judged by two just men among you as an offering [to Allah ] delivered to the Ka’bah, or an expiation: the feeding of needy people or the equivalent of that in fasting, that he may taste the consequence of his deed. Allah has pardoned what is past; but whoever returns [to violation], then Allah will take retribution from him. And Allah is Exalted in Might and Owner of Retribution (95).

 

This Ayah Follows Ayah 94 Regarding​​ Prohibition Of Hunting During The Months Of Hajj For Hujaj And Mu’tamiroon As Well As Within The Premises Of Al Ka’bah And Makkah. If However A Game Is Killed Deliberately Then The Compensation Is An Offering Brought To The Ka’bah Of A Domestic​​ Animal Equivalent To The One He/She Slaughtered As Adjudged By Two Men [With Justice Background] Amongst You Or By Way Of Atonement, Or

Through Feeding The Indigent Or Its Equivalent In Fasting That He/She May Taste The Penalty Of Their Actions. Allah [SWT] Forgives​​ What Has Past But If The Act Is Repeated Then Allah [SWT] Shall Exact The Penalty From Them, For Allah [SWT] Is Exalted And Lord Of Retribution.

 

أُحِلَّ لَكُمْ صَيْدُ الْبَحْرِ وَطَعَامُهُ مَتَاعًا لَّكُمْ وَلِلسَّيَّارَةِ ۖ وَحُرِّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ صَيْدُ الْبَرِّ مَا دُمْتُمْ حُرُمًا ۗ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ الَّذِي إِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُون​​ (96).

 

Lawful to you is game from the sea and its food as provision for you and the travellers, but forbidden to you is game from the land as long as you are in the state of ihram. And fear Allah to whom you will be gathered.

 

For Your Food Provision, Seafood Is Legitimate [Halal] And Its Consumption For You And For Travellers. However, Land Animal Hunting Is Forbidden As Explained In Ayah 94 & 95. And Fear And Be Conscious Of​​ Allah [SWT] To Whom You Shall Assemble And Congregate.

 

جَعَلَ اللَّهُ الْكَعْبَةَ الْبَيْتَ الْحَرَامَ قِيَامًا لِّلنَّاسِ وَالشَّهْرَ الْحَرَامَ وَالْهَدْيَ وَالْقَلَائِدَ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ لِتَعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ​​ (97).

Allah has made the Ka’bah, the Sacred House, standing for the people and [has sanctified] the sacred months and the sacrificial animals and the garlands [by which they are identified]. That is so you may know that Allah knows what is in the heavens and what is in the earth and that Allah is Knowing of all things​​ (97).

 

Allah [SWT] Has Ordained The Ka’bah To The Most Sacrosanct House [In Islam] Where Muslim Believers Find Sanctuary And Security Asylum As​​ Well As In The Four Sacred Months [Of Hajj And Umrah]: Thul Qida, Thul Hijjah,​​ Muharram And Rajab. They Also Find Sanctuary For Animals For Offerings And Their Garlands That Identify Them. This Is So That You [Believers] Comprehend That Allah [SWT] Is Knowledgeable Of The Heavens And The Earth And Verily He [SWT] Is The Knowing Of Things.

 

اعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ​​ (98).

 

Know that Allah is severe in penalty and that Allah is Forgiving and Merciful (98).

 

Be​​ Informed That Allah [SWT] Is Severe In Punishment And That Allah [SWT] Is Forgiving And Merciful.

 

مَّا عَلَى الرَّسُولِ إِلَّا الْبَلَاغُ ۗ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تُبْدُونَ وَمَا تَكْتُمُون​​ َ(99).

Not upon the Messenger is [responsibility] except [for]​​ notification. And Allah knows whatever you reveal and whatever you conceal (99).

 

Divulging [The Message] Is The Sole Responsibility Of The Messenger [SAAS] [Himself] And Allah [SWT] Is All Knowledgeable Of What You Divulge And What You Hide And Suppress.

 

قُل لَّا يَسْتَوِي الْخَبِيثُ وَالطَّيِّبُ وَلَوْ أَعْجَبَكَ كَثْرَةُ الْخَبِيثِ ۚ فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ يَا أُولِي الْأَلْبَابِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ​​ (100).

Say, “Not equal are the evil and the good, although the abundance of evil might impress you.” So​​ fear Allah, O you of understanding, that you may be successful​​ (100).

 

O Muhammad [SAAS] Say [To The Believers In You] The Good And Bad Do Not Equate [Or Come Together] * [Examples Are: Al Haram & Al Halal; A​​ Believer & A Disbeliever, Intransigence & Obedience. Despite The Fact That The Profusion Of The Bad Might Be Illusory. Thus Be Conscience And Fearful Of Allah [SWT] So That You Who Have Kernel Minds And Possess Comprehension​​ So That You May Succeed And Be Prosperous.

 

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا​​ تَسْأَلُوا عَنْ أَشْيَاءَ إِن تُبْدَ لَكُمْ تَسُؤْكُمْ وَإِن تَسْأَلُوا عَنْهَا حِينَ يُنَزَّلُ الْقُرْآنُ تُبْدَ لَكُمْ عَفَا اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ۗ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ حَلِيمٌ​​ (101).

 

O you who have believed, do not ask about things which, if they are shown to​​ you, will distress you. But if you ask about them while the Qur’an is being revealed, they will be shown to you. Allah has pardoned that which is past; and Allah is Forgiving and Forbearing (101).

 

Oh You Who Believe Do Not Ask Questions About Things Which When Made Clear To You Might Cause You Problems. However, If You Ask About Things During The Revelation Of​​ The [Glorious] Qur’an – At The Lifetime Of The Prophet [SAAS] – These Will Be Made Clear And Plain To You. And Allah [SWT] Is Oft-Forgiving, Most Forbearing.

 

قَدْ سَأَلَهَا قَوْمٌ مِّن قَبْلِكُمْ ثُمَّ أَصْبَحُوا بِهَا كَافِرِينَ(102)

 

A people asked such [questions] before you; then they became thereby disbelievers (102).

 

Some Peoples And Nations Before You Asked About Such Questions And Because​​ Of That They Went Astray And Thus Became Blasphemous.  ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​​​  ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​​​  ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​​​  ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​​​  ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​​​  ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​​​  ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​​​ 

 

 

 

مَا جَعَلَ اللَّهُ مِن بَحِيرَةٍ وَلَا سَائِبَةٍ وَلَا وَصِيلَةٍ وَلَا حَامٍ ۙ وَلَٰكِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يَفْتَرُونَ عَلَى اللَّهِ الْكَذِبَ ۖ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ (103)

Allah has not​​ appointed [such innovations as] bahirah or sa’ibah or wasilah or ham. But those who disbelieve invent falsehood about Allah , and most of them do not reason (103).

 

It Was Not Allah [SWT] Who Instituted [Superstitions Like Those Of] A Slit -Ear Female Camel [Baheerah] Or A Female Camel Let Loose For Free Pasture [Sa’ibah] Or Idol Sacrifices For Twin Births In Animals [Wasilah] Or Stallion Camels Freed For Work [Haam]. However, It Is The Blasphemers Who Construe And Explicate Lies On Allah [SWT] And A Majority Of Them Lack Comprehension.​​

​​ وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَعَالَوْا إِلَىٰ مَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ وَإِلَى الرَّسُولِ قَالُوا حَسْبُنَا مَا وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهِ آبَاءَنَا ۚ أَوَلَوْ كَانَ آبَاؤُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ شَيْئًا وَلَا يَهْتَدُونَ​​ (104).

 

And when it​​ is said to them, “Come to what Allah has revealed and to the Messenger,” they say, “Sufficient for us is that upon which we found our fathers.” Even though their fathers knew nothing, nor were they guided? (104).

 

And If It Is Said To Them: “Come To What​​ Allah [SWT] Has Revealed In The Glorious Qur’an And To The Message Of His Messenger [SAAS]. In Response They Say: ”Adequate And Appropriate For Us Are What We​​ Found Our Fathers, Despite The Fact That Their Fathers Were Void Of Knowledge And Guidance.

 

يَا​​ أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا عَلَيْكُمْ أَنفُسَكُمْ ۖ لَا يَضُرُّكُم مَّن ضَلَّ إِذَا اهْتَدَيْتُمْ ۚ إِلَى اللَّهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ جَمِيعًا فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ​​ (105)

 

​​ O you who have believed, upon you is [responsibility for] yourselves. Those who have gone astray will not harm you when you have been guided. To Allah is you return all together; then He will inform you of what you used to do​​ (105).

 

Oh You Who Believe Be Concerned With Your Own Selves And No Harm Shall Reach You From Those​​ In Aberrance [Of Their Belief] If You Find Guidance To The Truth [Through Submission To Allah [SWT] And Believing And Following The Prophet Of Islam, Muhammad [SAAS] And His Sunnah]. For Such Muslims It Is Incumbent Upon Them To Live With The Principle of​​ “Enjoining The Good And Forbidding The Evil”. To Allah [SWT] All [Humankind] Shall Revert [On Judgement Day] And He [SWT] Shall Inform You Of What You Previously Did [In Your Lifetime].

 

 

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا شَهَادَةُ بَيْنِكُمْ إِذَا حَضَرَ​​ أَحَدَكُمُ الْمَوْتُ حِينَ الْوَصِيَّةِ اثْنَانِ ذَوَا عَدْلٍ مِّنكُمْ أَوْ آخَرَانِ مِنْ غَيْرِكُمْ إِنْ أَنتُمْ ضَرَبْتُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَأَصَابَتْكُم مُّصِيبَةُ الْمَوْتِ ۚ تَحْبِسُونَهُمَا مِن بَعْدِ الصَّلَاةِ فَيُقْسِمَانِ بِاللَّهِ إِنِ ارْتَبْتُمْ​​ لَا نَشْتَرِي بِهِ ثَمَنًا وَلَوْ كَانَ ذَا قُرْبَىٰ وَلَا نَكْتُمُ شَهَادَةَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا إِذًا لَّمِنَ الْآثِمِينَ​​ (106).​​  ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​​​  ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​​​ 

​​ 

O you who have believed, testimony [should be taken] among you when​​ death approaches one of you at the time of bequest – [that of] two just men from among you or two others from outside if you are traveling through the land and the disaster of death should strike you. Detain them after the prayer and let them both swear by Allah if you doubt [their testimony, saying], “We will not exchange our oath for a price, even if he should be a near relative, and we will not withhold the testimony of Allah . Indeed, we would then be of the sinful.”(106).

 

According To Al Imam Al​​ Shawkani’s Qur’anic Exegesis [Fath Al Qadeer] And As Explained by Professor Al Ash’qar’s Abridged Version, This Ayah And The Next Two Are The Most Complicated In The Glorious Qur’an From The Points Of View Of Analysis [I’iraban], Arrangement [Nazman] And Judgment [Hukuman].

 

O You Who Believe, If and When Death Befalls Any Of You Then Take Witnesses From Amongst Yourselves When You Are Making Wills [Bequests] Then Two Unprejudiced And Open Minded Males From Your Own Brotherhood Or Two Outsiders [From Non-Believers] If You Were To Travel Through The Earth And The Fate Of Death Befalls You And If You Doubt The Testimony Of Both The Non-Believers, Then After Your Prayers Arrest Both And Get Them To Swear By Allah [SWT] That They Do Not – In This Action – Aim For Any Worldly Gain Even Though The ‘Beneficiary’ Might Be A Near Relative. In All Cases They Say “We Shall Not Hide The Evidence Before Allah [SWT]”. If We Do Suppress The Evidence Then We Are Amongst The Sinful.​​ 

 

فَإِنْ عُثِرَ عَلَىٰ أَنَّهُمَا اسْتَحَقَّا إِثْمًا فَآخَرَانِ يَقُومَانِ مَقَامَهُمَا مِنَ الَّذِينَ اسْتَحَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ الْأَوْلَيَانِ فَيُقْسِمَانِ بِاللَّهِ لَشَهَادَتُنَا أَحَقُّ مِن شَهَادَتِهِمَا وَمَا اعْتَدَيْنَا إِنَّا إِذًا لَّمِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ​​ (107)

​​ 

If After What Was Revealed In​​ Ayah 106 [The Previous Ayah] Turns Out To Be “Untrue” And That These Two Are Guilty Of The Sin Of Perjury Or That​​ They Were “False” Witnesses, Let Two Others Come Forward In Their Places Nearest Of Kin From Amongst Those Who Claim A Lawful Right. Then, Let​​ Them Swear By Allah [SWT] Saying: ”We Affirm That Our Witness Is “ Truer “ Than That Of Those Two And That We Have Not Trespassed [Beyond The Truth]. If We Did, Then Behold We Are Amongst The Unjust !!!​​ 

 

But if it is found that those two were guilty of perjury, let two others stand in their place [who are] foremost [in claim] from those who have a lawful right. And let them swear by Allah , “Our testimony is truer than their testimony, and we have not transgressed. Indeed, we would then be of the wrongdoers.” (107).

 

ذَٰلِكَ أَدْنَىٰ أَن يَأْتُوا بِالشَّهَادَةِ عَلَىٰ وَجْهِهَا أَوْ يَخَافُوا أَن تُرَدَّ أَيْمَانٌ بَعْدَ أَيْمَانِهِمْ ۗ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَاسْمَعُوا ۗ وَاللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْفَاسِقِينَ  ​​ ​​​​ (108)​​ ​​ 

 

That Is Most Suitable, That​​ They May Give The Evidence In Its Truest Nature And Form Or Else They Would Fear That Other Oaths Would Be Taken After Their Own Oaths. And Fear And Be Conscious Of Allah [SWT] And Listen [To Him SWT] [For Verily Allah [SWT]] Shall Not Guide The People Of​​ Debauchery.

 

يَوْمَ يَجْمَعُ اللَّهُ الرُّسُلَ فَيَقُولُ مَاذَا أُجِبْتُمْ ۖ قَالُوا لَا عِلْمَ لَنَا ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ عَلَّامُ الْغُيُوبِ(109)​​ 

[Be warned of] the Day when Allah will assemble the messengers and say, “What was the response you received?”​​ They will say, “We have no knowledge. Indeed, it is You who is Knower of the unseen”

(109).

 

On The Day Of Gathering And Congregation [On Judgment Day] Allah [SWT] Shall Call Upon All Messengers And Ask Them What Was The Response Of The Nations You Were Sent To? They Will Say: “We Know Nothing”, It Is You [SWT] The All Knowledgeable Of The Transcendent.

 

إِذْ قَالَ اللَّهُ يَا عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ اذْكُرْ نِعْمَتِي عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَىٰ وَالِدَتِكَ إِذْ أَيَّدتُّكَ بِرُوحِ الْقُدُسِ تُكَلِّمُ النَّاسَ فِي الْمَهْدِ وَكَهْلًا ۖ وَإِذْ عَلَّمْتُكَ​​ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَالتَّوْرَاةَ وَالْإِنجِيلَ ۖ وَإِذْ تَخْلُقُ مِنَ الطِّينِ كَهَيْئَةِ الطَّيْرِ بِإِذْنِي فَتَنفُخُ فِيهَا فَتَكُونُ طَيْرًا بِإِذْنِي ۖ وَتُبْرِئُ الْأَكْمَهَ وَالْأَبْرَصَ بِإِذْنِي ۖ وَإِذْ​​ تُخْرِجُ الْمَوْتَىٰ بِإِذْنِي ۖ وَإِذْ كَفَفْتُ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيل ​​ عَنكَ إِذْ جِئْتَهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْهُمْ إِنْ هَٰذَا إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ َ​​ (110)

 

[The Day] when Allah will say, “O Jesus, Son of Mary, remember My favor upon you and upon your mother when I supported you with the Pure Spirit and you spoke to the people in the cradle and in maturity; and [remember] when I taught you writing and wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel; and when you designed from clay [what was] like the form of a bird with My permission, then you breathed into it, and it became a bird with My permission; and you healed the blind and the leper with My permission; and when you brought forth the dead with My permission; and when I restrained the Children of Israel from [killing] you when you came to them with clear proofs and those who disbelieved among them said, “This is not but obvious magic.”​​ (110).

 

On The Day Of Judgment Allah [SWT] Shall Focus His Conversation With Issa [AS] Son Of Mary [AS]​​ Recounting SWT’s Favor To Both. Behold, I Strengthened You With Archangel Jibreel [AS] So That You Spoke To People In The Cradle And In Maturity. Behold, I Taught You Writing, Wisdom, The Tawra & The Injeel. Behold, You – With My Permission – Used Clay To​​ Sculpt A Bird Then – With My Permission – The Bird Comes To Life And Flies. With My Permission, You Healed The Blind And The Lepers. With My Permission, You Brought Forth The Dead To Life.​​ 

 

All Of The Above “Miracles” Performed By Issa [AS] [To Humankind] Were In Fact Conforming To Allah [SWT]’s Commands. And So When The Children Of Israel Came To Know Of The Above Miracles, They Ganged Up To Kill Issa [AS] And Allah [SWT] Protected Him. And So The Jews Had Nothing To Say But That This Was “Nothing But Evident Magic”.

 

وَإِذْ أَوْحَيْتُ إِلَى الْحَوَارِيِّينَ أَنْ آمِنُوا بِي وَبِرَسُولِي قَالُوا آمَنَّا وَاشْهَدْ بِأَنَّنَا مُسْلِمُونَ(111)​​ 

 

And [remember] when I inspired to the disciples, “Believe in Me and in My messenger Jesus.” They said, “We have​​ believed, so bear witness that indeed we are Muslims [in submission to Allah].”

​​ 

And Behold, When I Inspired The Disciples To Believe In Me And Have Faith In My Messenger Issa [AS]. They Replied:” We Have Submitted To You [Our Lord] And Witness That We​​ Have Accepted Islam [As Our Religion].

إِذْ قَالَ الْحَوَارِيُّونَ يَا عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ هَلْ يَسْتَطِيعُ رَبُّكَ أَن يُنَزِّلَ عَلَيْنَا مَائِدَةً مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ ۖ قَالَ اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ(112)​​ 

 

[And remember] when the​​ disciples said, “O Jesus, Son of Mary, can your Lord send down to us a table [spread with food] from the heaven? [Jesus] said,” Fear Allah, if you should be believers.”(112).

Behold, The Disciples Said To Issa [AS] The Son Of Mary [AS] Can Your Lord Descend To Us A Dining Table From The Heavens? Issa [AS] Replied: “Fear Allah [SWT] If You Consider Yourselves Believers”.

 

قَالُوا نُرِيدُ أَن نَّأْكُلَ مِنْهَا وَتَطْمَئِنَّ قُلُوبُنَا وَنَعْلَمَ أَن قَدْ صَدَقْتَنَا وَنَكُونَ عَلَيْهَا مِنَ الشَّاهِدِينَ .(113)

 

They said, “We wish to eat from it and let our hearts be reassured and know that you have been truthful to us and be among its witnesses.”(113).

 

The Disciples Replied: “We Want To Dine From It And Reassure Our Hearts And Comprehend That You Have Been​​ Sincere To Us And That We Ourselves May Be Witnesses To This Miracle.

 

قَالَ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا أَنزِلْ عَلَيْنَا مَائِدَةً مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ تَكُونُ لَنَا عِيدًا لِّأَوَّلِنَا وَآخِرِنَا وَآيَةً مِّنكَ ۖ وَارْزُقْنَا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الرَّازِقِينَ

.(114)​​ 

​​ 

Said Jesus, the son of Mary, “O Allah , our Lord, send down to us a table [spread with food] from the heaven to be for us a festival for the first of us and the last of us and a sign from You. And provide for us, and You are the best​​ of providers.” (114).  ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​​​ 

 

Issa [AS] The Son Of Mary [AS] Said: “ O Allah [SWT] Our Lord Descend To Us From The Heavens A Table Of Victuals And Supplies To Be A ​​ [True And Solemn] Festival For The First And Last Of​​ Us And An Ayah [Sign] From You And Provide For Our Needs Since You Are The Best Provider And Sustainer.

 

قَالَ اللَّهُ إِنِّي مُنَزِّلُهَا عَلَيْكُمْ ۖ فَمَن يَكْفُرْ بَعْدُ مِنكُمْ فَإِنِّي أُعَذِّبُهُ عَذَابًا لَّا أُعَذِّبُهُ أَحَدًا مِّنَ الْعَالَمِينَ(115)​​ 

 

Allah said, “Indeed, I will sent it down to you, but whoever disbelieves afterwards from among you – then indeed will I punish him with a punishment by which I have not punished anyone among the worlds.”(115).

 

Allah [SWT] Said I Shall Descend It​​ Upon You, Thus Whoever Becomes Blasphemous From You, I Shall Impose A Torment Upon Him / Her Not Experienced By Any Being From The Worlds [Created By Me].

 

وَإِذْ قَالَ اللَّهُ يَا عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ أَأَنتَ قُلْتَ لِلنَّاسِ اتَّخِذُونِي وَأُمِّيَ إِلَٰهَيْنِ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ ۖ قَالَ سُبْحَانَكَ مَا​​ يَكُونُ لِي أَنْ أَقُولَ مَا لَيْسَ لِي بِحَقٍّ ۚ إِن​​ كُنتُ قُلْتُهُ فَقَدْ عَلِمْتَهُ ۚ تَعْلَمُ مَا فِي نَفْسِي وَلَا أَعْلَمُ مَا فِي نَفْسِكَ ۚ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ عَلَّامُ الْغُيُوب.(116)​​ 

And [beware the Day] when Allah will say, “O Jesus, Son of Mary, did you say to the people, ‘Take me and my mother as deities besides Allah?'” He will say, “Exalted are You! It was not for me to say that to which I have no right. If I had said it, You would have known it. You know what is within myself, and I do not know what is within Yourself. Indeed, it is You who is Knower of the unseen​​ (116).  ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​​​

And Behold The Day When Allah [SWT] Will​​ Say (Directing His Speech To Issa [AS]): “O Issa [AS] Son Of Mary [AS] Did You Tell People To Take Both Of You As Gods Besides Allah [SWT]? Issa [AS] Replied: “You Are The Exalted! Never Could I Say What I Had No Right In Saying. Had I Said Such A Thing, You [SWT] Would Have Known It, It Is You [SWT] The All Knowledgeable Of The Transcendent.

 

مَا قُلْتُ لَهُمْ إِلَّا مَا أَمَرْتَنِي بِهِ أَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ رَبِّي وَرَبَّكُمْ ۚ وَكُنتُ عَلَيْهِمْ شَهِيدًا مَّا دُمْتُ فِيهِمْ ۖ فَلَمَّا تَوَفَّيْتَنِي​​ كُنتَ أَنتَ الرَّقِيبَ عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ وَأَنتَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَهِيدٌ.(117)​​ 

 

I said not to them except what You commanded me – to worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord. And I was a witness over them as long as I was among them; but when You took me up, You were the Observer over them, and You are, over all things, Witness (117).

 

I Had Not Said To Them [The People] Except What You Commanded And Instructed Me To Say And That Is; Worship My Lord And Your Lord And I Was Their Witness While Dwelling With Them. Once You To Took My Soul, You [SWT] Were The Observant Over Them And You [SWT] Are The Witness Over All [Creation].

إِن تُعَذِّبْهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ عِبَادُكَ ۖ وَإِن تَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ فَإِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ ​​ .(118)​​ 

 

If You should punish them​​ – indeed they are Your servants; but if You forgive them – indeed it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise (118).

 

In Case You Torment Them Then They Are Your Worshipers And In Case You Forgive Them Then You [SWT] Are The All Mighty, The All Wise.

 

قَالَ اللَّهُ هَٰذَا يَوْمُ يَنفَعُ الصَّادِقِينَ صِدْقُهُمْ ۚ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتٌ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا ۚ رَّضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوا عَنْهُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ  ​​​​ .(119)​​ 

Allah will say, “This is the Day​​ when the truthful will benefit from their truthfulness.” For them are gardens [in Paradise] beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever, Allah being pleased with them, and they with Him. That is the great attainment (119).

 

On This Day​​ Allah [SWT] Shall Say: “This Is The Day In Which The Truthful Shall Make Use Of Their “Self Truth”. For Them Allah [SWT] Shall Have Gardens Beneath Which Rivers Shall Eternally Flow. Allah [SWT] Being Content With Them And They With Him [SWT]. That Is The​​ Great Success.

 

لِلَّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا فِيهِنَّ ۚ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ​​ .​​ (120)

To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is within them. And He is over all things competent (120).

Allah​​ [SWT] Is The Sovereign To Whom Belongs The Dominion Of The Heavens And Earth And All (Creation) In Between And He [SWT] Has The Power Over All And Everything.
